Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Buttons and Bows

The challenge this week at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge is Buttons and Bows,..,use at least one of each.  Hasn't Pat has some awesome challenges for us?  Here is what I came up with:

I used the super cute, Waiting for Rain inage, isn't she adorable?  I also used Mo's digital dp for the background, I thought it was perfect with my yellow and green image which was colored with copic markers.

The image was cut out with spellbinder dies and mounted  on the layered dp.  I created a row of rain dripping from the upper edge of the card and used stickles, and the MS dripping goo punch, to make it look like  rain drops.

The bakers twine bow was threaded through the holes I punched in the layered image.  I also tied bakers twine in the yellow flower button at the bottom. The bee is also a button.

Be sure to stop by and check out the rest of the DT creations. Mo has some darline Fat girl and Carnival images which are soo cute.  Always such fun images!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Sassy Cheryl;s Challenge--Sketch Challenge

This week at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge the ubber talented Tracey has chosen a sketch for us to follow. I love sketch challenges especially when I am struggling with my layout.  It 's not cheating, its inspiration!!! Here is my card using Spring Bunny:

Bunnies are always in season and this little cutie with the Spring Sign is so fun.  I might add Hurry Up!!! as an additional sentinent but I refrained LOL.
I chose the colors from the dp I picked out which is bright and light compared to  some I choose LOL.  The pink dp was some bargain sale and I only got a couple of sheets of the pink, now I wish I had gotten more, oh well, hind sight is always 20/20.
Do you see that cute flower in the lower right corner.  Shirley Swoope inspired me to try a wobble embellishment, It is so fun to tweek it and watch it jiggle.Making cards is so much fun!!!Three pretty pink roses, leaf sprigs and my creation is complete!!
Here is the sketch we were supposed to use, think I stayed on track, didn't twist or turn it, not me,  it happens that I follow the sketch exactly :).

Three pretty pink roses, leaf sprigs and my creation is complete!!
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations on the Challenge blog and then drop by the Sassy Cheryl's store as she has been busy creating more fabuloso images for you.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I got to play the Color Me Challenge this week!!!

I love all of Sassy Cheryl's images as you well know, but the new ones are especially fun, so many flowers, bunnies and cute stuffs!!! Here is Buttons Flowers Bag:for the Color Me Challenge:

Isn't this cute?  I love cute button flowers and the little lopsided flower pot was just too fun. I over stamped the flower pot with a cracked texture stamp...yes, I do still use stamps...occassionally LOL. The sentiments are from the same stamp set.
The image was colored with copics and sponged with SU ink.  The dp was some I got on clearance a few weeks ago and the bow is wide grosgrain ribbon.  A few pink gel dots and my Challenge card is complete.
You should come and play along. Cheryl has two images each week and you can purchase them for only 2 dollars each instead of the normal 3 dollars.

Come play along.

Thanks for stopping by.

Beautiful Daffodils----Just Inklined

Well, after a super busy week I finally had time to get my Just Inklined card posted.  I didn't want it to get lost in all the multi-post blogs last week so here is it today!!!  You all know I love to color flowers and these beautiful daffodils are just my little way of saying.......HURRY UP SPRING!!!!!!!

This beautiful Daffodils in Bottle image was colored with copic markers and sponged with peeled paint distress ink.
I wanted to keep the card  CAS so kept the extra layers to a minumum, maybe I went too far, on well, I like it LOL!!!
A downloaded striped dp for the baes annd a simple orange check ribbon band onto which I added a hatpin I made over the wee-end. I dyed the white hat pin heads with crystal effects dyed with SU reinkers, so you can have just about any color you want. The beads were added and because I don't make jewelry the beads are rather limited, but the effect is cool.
3 vellum butterflies sponged with distress ink and my card is complete.
Thanks for stopping by  and have a great day.

My Attitude is Happy and Carefree!!! Attitude's don't all have to be bad LOL!!!  This sweet little girl, Alice skipping rope, is just such a happy image and was so much fun to color.  I colored her in pinks and purples and cut out my image with my fiskars circle cutter.  The main image was mounted on a white paper doilie.
The dp is tim holtz dp and the corners were punched with a MS corner punch to add a touch or softness to the corners.
A band of purple satin ribbon, 3 paper spiral flowers I created and a hat pin I dyed to match the flowers.

Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT creations, I'm sure you will see a lot of Attitude, can't wait to check it out myself.

Designing Diva's Monthly Blog Hop--Oldies but Goodies!

Can you believe it is already time for the Monthly Designing Divas  Blog Hop. The recurring theme is, Oldies but Goodies..  Use something you haven't used in  at least 6  months...If you arrived here from the wonderfully talented Chris Dickinson's blog you are in the right spot.  If you are one of my regular followers you might want to start at the beginning of the Blog Hop, which is Melissa Cash, so you don't miss a single creation from this talented group of Designers!!! Now for my creation:

This is one of my all time favorite images from Mo's Digital Pencil called Late. It is so perfect for so many different occassions, I just love the look on his face, he looks tired like me LOL!!!
The image is about a year old and I haven't used it for over 6 months.  I seldom use images more than one or two times but I think I have used Late about 5 times.
He was colored with copic markers and then cut with spellbinder scalloped circle die and I airbrushed the edge with the die still covering the edge.  The pink circle was cut with my Fiskars circle template and because it was a little too pink I sponged over it lightly with vintage photo distress ink which I also did on the scalloped border and base dp.
I tried to keep the design and layout simple but did add 3 flowers I cut from the same dp and made adding a pearl center to coordinate with the pearls on the bow and in the corners.
Thanks for stopping by and I hoped you enjoying seeing Late as much as I enjoyed bringing him to you!!!
I am the caboose on the Blog Hop,  Thanks so  much for hopping along with us today and I hope you have gotten an inspiration or two but I am sure you got one at every single stop, I know I always do.l

Have a wonderful colorful day!!!

Day 3 Riley and Company Sneak Peeks!!!

The sneak peek today is one of my favorite images from the Riley and Company March release, just too cute.  Here is what I created to show you:

Okay, I am loving the new sentiments being released this month too.. Isn't it perfect!!!  I loved the image so much I had to go and buy some perfect dp to go with it.  Policeman Riley was colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink. The image was cut out withi my spellbinder octagon (think stop sign) dies in coordinating colors.
The sentiment was stamped and mounted on the same coordinating cs.
The silver studs gems are I-Rock and I love them for projects like this, they add the perfect touch to the photo corners and sentinent tag.  The brown grosgrain ribbon was just the right amount of ribbon and tied in a knot it isn't feminine at all.

Be sure to stop by the rest of the DT blogs and check out their sneak peeks, they are wonderful and so diverse.
Thanks for stopping by, Have a colorful day!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Use Something New!!

Oh, what a fun challenge Tracey chose for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week...Use something new!!! What to choose LOL!!!  Here is what came up with:

I have a couple of new things in this card.  The image, Funky watering can with  flowers, is new, I haven't used it before, and the butterfly punch is my new favorite acquisition.
The image was colored with copic markers and the spots and swirls on the watering can were colored with the Atyou silver glitter pen..  The image was cut out with a Quikkutz label die and a second in coordinating color was cut for the frame.
I have this cool double sided ribbon in the greens and orange of the dp so that is my accent over the border punched side band.
Three gree butterflies to enjoy the beautiful flowers and my card is complete.  Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations.  See what New things they came up with..  Be sure to join us for this challenge and as with all the Sassy Cheryl's Challenges you get a chance to win a free image just for creating a challenge card using a Sassy Cheryl image.
If you haven't checked out the new releases Cheryl has in the store for you today, you better run right over there, Cheryl has been working overtime to create a Whole Bunch of awesome new releases.  I could pick 10 right now and I just got a quick look LOL....Check it out.

Day 2 Sneak Peek Riley and Company March Release!!!

There are so many cute images in the Riley and Company March Release it is hard to decide which one to show you next, but I decided Rock Star Riley would be my choice.   Here is what I created:

Riley is a Rock Star as the sentiment says.  The sentiment is one of the stamps in the release this month, so perfect for that budding Rock Star in your life.  I know I have several!!
Rock Star Riley was colored with copic markers and the border was airbrushed. Be sure to take note of the punk rock hair color...he is so cool!!!
The frets and trim on the guitar are colored with Atyou spica gen pen in silver.
I tied a few strands of bakers twine, I just got and love, and tied through the button just above the sentiment.  The star was also accentuated with a bakers twine bow,
I thought the tie dyed Peace dp was perfect for this little rocker.

Be sure to stop by the rest of the DT blogs to see what peeks they have in store for you too, I know you will be excited with each creation.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day.

Day 1 Sneak Peeks--Riley and Company

Good Monday Morning. Are you ready for Day 1 of the Riley and Company March Release Sneak Peeks!!!???  The new Riley Moose images for this release are so fun and great variety. Here is my first peek I labeled Smile!!!:
Sunflower Riley is so cute and would be perfect to send a Spring or Just Because greeting to someone you know.  I decided to go a little vintage with this image with the Tim Holtz dp at the top.  I gathered some brown lace under the main image, which by the way was colored with copic markers and sponged with diestress ink.
The flower was created with my cricut and the buttons were sewed onto the card.  The Smile sentiment is included in the March Release, isn't it awesome there are sentiments to go with the Riley's now...love it.

Be sure to stop by the rest of the DT blogs, listed on my sidebar,  and see what peeks they have in store for you.   Be sure to mark your calendars for the Release Blog Hop which will be Thursday night at 9:00 pm Central time.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Yeah, it is Thursday, Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge!!!

Happy Thursday!  Are you ready for the new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge?  The hostess this week is the awesomely talented, Pat, who chose the theme Let's Hear it for the Boys!!! ( A card for a boy.) Here is what I created:

Isn't this just the cutest little guy feeding the chicks?  The image is called  Chickies.  I colored him with copic markers and if you notice I did NOT airbrush or sponge the image...it happens,. I almost forgot to mention I added Glossy Accents to the orange boots to make them look like the cute rubber hi gloss boots.
The dp is from the SeraSera paper pack from K & Co, and the little white flowers dp is from my stash. I have had that piece forever, but I love it for spring cards.
The little picket fence was punched with a MS punch and I used a copic to add the graass.  The button is tied with bakers twine. You are going to see a lot of the bakers twine since I have a life-time supply LOL.
An orange checked ribbon tied with a knot at one end and the 100% Boy cut with my cricut using my Boys Will be Boys cartridge.
Be sure to stop by the store, Mo has a totally new store that is awesome and so fast and easy to maneuver, you will love it.
The DT has wonderful Boy cards to show you on the Challenge Blog, it is so fun to see so many people playing the challenges lately.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Puttin on the Dog!!! Just Inklined

Have you noticed  lots of people believe that if they carry a really cute dog they will be Hip, Cool, or whatever the term these days is.  Here is a super cute image from Just Inklined that symbolized just that theory. Which is cuter the girl or the dog?  LOL :

This adorable image is called Fashion Dogs 2.  Do you see the little guy being carried, he looks a little air sick don't you think?
The image was colored with copic markers and the border was airbrushed.  I love this cute dp I found with dogs on it, thought it would be so cute for this image.
I tied blue and green bakers twine through buttons for my ribbon treatment, added a bone paper clip and this creation is complete.

Be sure to check out the images at Just Inklined and be sure also to check out the DT  posts almost every day.  Always something wonderful to see and for that little bit of inspiration you may be  looking for.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Nature!

Happy Tuesday all you Sassy lovers!!!  This week the awesomely talented Tracey is our hostess, for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge,  and she has chosen the theme Nature.  Here is what I created:

I think I should call this card,  Funky flowers Bunch 2 meets Vintage, LOL. I like the contrast.  The image was colored with copic markers and airbrushed around the border.  The image was then mounted on orange which was off-set on the olive green panel.  The print dp is from a paper pack called Sera Sera by K & Co.
I added a band of my new found natural netting which I overlayed with orange and white gingham check unto which a  button was mounted. The button was tied with yard,.
I found the cute butterfly punch at Target, it was a two pack of punches, the butterfly and
half inch circle.  Three of the butterfly and circles were added in the upper right corner of the main image.
The edge was swagger stitched with my sewing machine.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations and then stop by the Sassy Cheryl Store and see the new super cute images she has created for this week!!!  Can I just say CUTE!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

A Bit of Green--Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

The awesomely talented Pat is our hostess this week for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.  Pat has chosen the task to use green somewhere on our card.  It can be Irish or just something you added that was green.  Here is what I created:

I thought this Party Girl image would be fun for a Cheers card.  She is dressed for the St. Patrick's Day celebration at the local pub, tavern, or bar depending on your local term.
I decided,  so the green wasn't so over powering,  I would add some nice pink/green pretty spring dp I got during a snow storm, LOL  The image was cutout with a spellbinder die and colored with copic markers and sponged with distress dusty rose ink.  I used a white bubble embossed panel bordered in green and layered on a scallop edge panel  to go behind the main image.  The ribbon treatment was very simple just hand pleated three folds and held it with a green brad.  The pretty pink and green flower stem is from the Pagoda cartridge for my cricut expression. I layered several pink flowers with a large green/gold center,  A Cheers Sentiment stamped on vellum and my card is complete.

Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT has created. I know you will be impressed, I always am...

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Mo is testing some DP..I Love it!!!

Mo Manning, of Mo's Digital Pencil has been testing the waters for some dp to match her images.  I just happened to be lucky enough to get my hands on it ;)  Here is my first project using Bella and the Easter Bronte, with the blues Bronte dp, what do you think?  :

Bella and Bronte have always been some of my favorite images and when I saw this Bronte in bunny ears and Bella looking so sweet and innocent...well, I had to have it!!!
Colored the image with copic markers to match the dp, I know not my usual way but hey it happns LOL.  The dp is kind of blue green on a white background so I stayed with the teal for Bella.
I added the little picket fence to accentuate the coloring or Bronte and added matching antique buttons.  A simple sheer white bow and my creation is complete.

Don't you like the way the dp made the image look coordinated to the dp?  That's my theory and I am sticking to it!!!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day!!

Sassy Tuesday!! A New Challenge :)

Wasn't the Sassy Cheryl's Blog Hop fun last week?  Are you ready for another Sassy Challenge brought to you by the incredibly talented Sassy Sister, Jackie.  Jackie has chosen the theme Pink and White:  Here is what I created:

Okay, I have to admit the reason there is way too much blue on this pink and white card is,  I always write down my challenges, the hostess and theme on a large desk calendar so I can glance at the calendar and see what I need to get done for the week.  Obviously, it didn't work this week, as I wrote down Spring instead of Pink and White... Sorry Jackie, it still is pink and white,,,,,,,,and blue!!
The image is a new super cute Bunny image called Decked Out Easter Bunny, isn't he just too cute?!?  I colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink.  The corner scrolls were cut with my cricut.
Three buttons tied with yard , three pink roses  and a blue bow and band to finish off this super fun card.
Be sure to stop by the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT has in store for you, I peeked and the creations are even more outstanding than usual, so you know it will be great.
Be sure to check out the Sassy Cheryl's Store as she has announced she will have 10......yes 10 new images for your coloring pleasure. I have seen them and they are soooooooooooo perfect and a wonderful variety of inages for all your card making/scrapbooking needs.

This image, Doolie's Birthday, is so fun and perfect for that light hearted Birthday Wish....  My embossing is the brown panel behind the oval die cut main image.
I was so excited I finally found some of the beige mesh lacey stuff, okay I don't know the name, at my LSS last week and couldnt' wait to use it , I love the look but couldn't find it anywhere.
My  image called Doolie's Birthday, was colored with copic markers.  A flower cut with my cricut,  a wish ticket attached with a round paper clip, a trio of black brads top and bottom and this darling Birthday Wish card is ready to send.

Just Inklined Windmill---I Love it!!!

You all know I love to color scenes and Just Inklined has some awesome ones.  Today I chose the Windmill:

I love it when I just have to color and add the sky. Tried to make it look weathered, not sure it was enough but I still like it :)
The scalloped border was cut with the cricut from the Cindy Loo cartridge and the tulips are also cricut from the Walk in my Garden cartridge.
The Spring is in the air Sentiment was stamped onto a Just Inklinhed blank ticket.  A photo corner in the upper left corner and my, Wish it was Spring, card is complete.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Baby/Baby Card

This week the hostess for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge is the wonderfully talented Pat who chose the theme Oh Baby.  Make a baby card or project.  What fun!!!  I chose this darling Kai in the tub which is one of my favorite baby images.  I always loved bath time for my kids!!!

My original thought was to create a card that could be used for either girl or boy, but I guess I forgot that part when I added the sentiment card LOL.  Oops!!!
The image was colored with copic markers and I airbrushed the border.
The dp is S E I  an assortment pack.  I added some lime green rick rack from my stash, a giraffe cuttlebug die cut and diaper pin from the same cuttlebug plate.
The flower center has  duck and diaper pin charms added with wire for some added baby interest.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations and play along with us. There is always a free Mo image given away to the randomly drawn winner from each challenge.
