Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, It's Tuesday!!! and Guest Designer Search!

This week our hostess for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is the Oh, So talented Sassy Gal, Kim.  Kim has chosen a really fun simple challenge to use Buttons on your project...I love to use buttons and here is what I created:

The image is Sassy Uncle Sam  and isn't she adorable.  I colored her in more vintage americana colors, which are my favorite shades.
The dp is from my K & Compapny Que Sera Sera paper pack.  The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with vintage photo distress ink.  The center red band was punched with a MS border punch and an americana ribbon was added to the middle.  The ribbon was bright white so I sponged it with the distress ink as well.
Now for the buttons...Have I mentioned I love to add buttons?  I used a heart, star and circle button on the lower left corner and a red rooster button in the upper right corner.
Thanks for the wonderful challenge Kim.

WooHoo it's Tuesday that means a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge!!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge hostess this week is the very talented Judy.  She chose the theme white on white.  The only color could be on the main image.  I thought this challenge was quite fun.  What do you think?

Well, you all know that I love Bears and I love Americana so this was a perfect image for me to use. The image is called Triple Star Bear
The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with faded jeans Tim Holtz distress ink around the outside edges .
The main image was mounted on a plain white matt.  The larger card base was run through the cuttlebug using the Stars embossing folder.  I had run a strip of white through the cuttlebug using the lattice embossing folder.  I then punched the lattice piece using my MS double scalloped flower border punch and placed it under the main image horizontally.  I added a white grosgrain ribbon tied around the middle of the card.
The flower was so much fun to create.  I used a new huge 5 pedal flower punch by EK Express to punch a flower from a white cs that had been run through the dotted swiss cuttlebug folder.  The MS medallion punch was used for the next white layer and then a tiny white heart shaped button was added to the center of the flower.
The final touch was to add a tiny dot of Stickles white mist paint to the center of each embossed star.  3 white brads in the corners and this adorable Triple Star Bear is ready to Celebrate.
Be sure you check out the rest of the DT creations.  I know they will have some truly inspirational and try to make time to play along, it is so much fun and we really love to have you play along, besides you can win a gift certificate from Sassy Cheryl's!!!
