It's Tuesday--Time for a Sassy Cheryl's Challenge

One of my favorite types of Challenges are Sketch Challenges, and our super talented hostess, Dawn, has chosen a Sketch for our Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week.  Here is the Sketch:

 Here is what I created with the super adorable Autumn Bench Sitter Sally:

I absolutely love the new Sally and Lucy Lou images and had to color this darling image for this challenge.  The colors are to be pink so I added green and fall colors after all there are leaves and her name is Autumn bench sitter!!!  I didn't make that up. 

The sketch was fun and the I tried to keep the colors soft, which I kind of struggle with.  I used the fun brown plaid dp from the Me and My Big Ideas paper fall pack and then added a french country pink and green to coordinate with the colors of the image. A trio of brads were added to each triangle along with a double bow ribbon I actually tied without having to go back to the tutorial LOL...it may stick now :)  and to keep with the fall theme I added some leaves punched from kraft cs and sponged with greens and pinks to coordinate.

Funny story about my card and Pat's card. We really had no idea we were going to pick the same image or color the same colors so closely so I emailed her when I uploaded my card to the DT folder saw her card,  and apologized for using the same image and colors as she had...I swore she sent me subliminal messages in my sleep.  She was a sweet heart that she is and said that great minds just think alike... It is funny how the DT so often picks the same images each week but not often they color the same colors LOL.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Use Fall Colors

Peggy is our super talented hostess this week on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog and she has chosen the theme, Fall Colors.  I love the colors of fall and this little cutie called:  That's One Big Flower,  looks wonderful in fall colors:

Now that is one big flower and this little Sassy gal is having so much fun.  The image was colored with Copic markers and the edge was sponged with distress ink.  The base is brown cs.  A few scalloped edges and some brown checked ribbon a beautiful ivory rose on a MS punched tag and this little Golden Girl of Fall is ready to march into the season.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Inspiration

Iulia has given us a beautiful Fall picture as our Inspiration for a fall color Challenge on Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week.  Here is what I created:

I love fall colors and I love to color beautifully drawn pumpkins.  I colored these Pumpkins with copics and added a border of cracked stamp and sponged edging to highlight the beautiful pumpkins. 

I had bought a beautiful pack of fall dp from Me and My Big Ideas last year and never used it so it is new this year, right?  .  I tied the plaid ribbon and tucked in some embossed leaves and some floral wires which I had used my needle nose pliers (real name HaHa) to curl the ends. I got ones with turquoise handles so my husband wouldn't take them :)  Now I need to buy pink handles screwdrivers LOL.

I added a cricut cut corner punch and button to the upper left corner and tied a wire threaded through the button as well.

This is a beautiful bouquet and you may use any of the colors or all of them whatever you choose, but we would love to see you play along with the challenge this week.  We had wonderful participation this week and would love to see it continue !!!

Horray for Tuesday--Sassy Cheryl's Challenge

Yippee, it's Tuesday and that means another fun Challenge at Sassy Cheryl's.  We're still looking for a Guest Designer so this is your perfect opportunity to put on your big girl panties and enter the challenge, the next guest designer could be YOU!!!
The challenge this week is by the one of our newest super talented DT members, Jeni.  Jeni chose the theme Fall colors.  Here is my card:

The fall we have been having in Omaha has been rather blustery and I wanted to portray that in my card.  I used this wonderful image called May , but I colored it in fall colors, wanting to use brown and dusty rose which are some of my favorite fall colors.  They may not be traditional fall colors but I guess I am not such a traditional kinda gal :).
The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink.  The edges of the rose dp was also sponged with distress ink.
The scalloped rose panel was embossed with my fall leaf embossing folder and I love the way it deep embossed bringing out the white core of the card stock so it looks like I sanded it.  I also punched leaves from the same embossed cs for the leaves in the upper right corner.
A brown and white checked ribbon and my card is complete.

My Wednesday addiction--SCS Sketch Challenge LOL

I have found I really love playing the SCS Sketch Challenge, it is usually a challenge and I need lots of help with my card creation.. I used a wonderful fall image from Karen's Doodles, it is a freebie this week and it is gorgeous:

This was so much fun to color and I enjoyed the sketch for this week at SplitCoast Stampers.  I tied the ribbon where I could have added a sentiment and added one of my favorite paper flowers that only look hard to make,  I have gotten pretty fast at making them from scratch,  LOL  I R trainable!!!
I love the colors of fall and pumpkins are fun to color so this was a very relaxing card to make. I probably could have done a little more with the lower beige strip which I thought about punching a border but I still wanted the image to be the main focal point of the card.
I don't have too many things going on this week so I thought it would be fun to play the challenge again.  3 weeks in a row, I am on a roll.

Darling Fall image by Mo's Digital Pencil--Sadie

I really love the vision of this beautiful little girl selling apples.  Mo's Digital Pencil has created some awesome new images and I have been busy coloring them :)  Thought I would show you Sadie with Apples today:

I fell in love with that beautiful smile and I think she knows she is beautiful even if she has patches on her clothes. 
Sadie was colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink.  The border on the right was cut usng a Mini Scalloped die cut border from Spellbinder's  The red apple buttons are from my stash.  I thought the red striped ribbon was cute to tie in the red and white with the blue background which is BoBunny dp.
A red check flower with a button center tied with red check ribbon finishes off this fall project.

Final Sneak Peeks for Riley and Company Release tonight!!!

Are you all ready for the Riley and Company Blog Hop and release of these awesome stamps to be available for you to purchase?!?
I have two sneak peeks for you today and my final two projects tonight during the Blog Hop:

Here is Raking Riley:

I have kind of gone back to some backgrounds that I really enjoyed creating last year with the embossing folders.  This is the second folder in the set and I really like the look.  I kept the colors in the browns and neutrals. 
The kraft back panel was the perfect backdrop for the MS corner punch.  I rounded the corners on the leaf embossed layer to show a little more of the corners without making the leave panel smaller.
Raking Riley was colored with copic markers and sponoged with distress ink.  I added an Autumn metalic brad from my stash.
I love the look of the wide striped ribbon and had some brown and white I thought would be perfect...what do you think?  I just tied a knot close to the edge because I thought a bow would just be too big. The final touch was a little metalic Thank you  charm tied on with twine.

My next project is not a card....yeah I know: you can only send out so many Halloween cards.

  I just wanted to show how cute the little Halloween Moose are as gift tags.  I love my pillow pouch die cut and used some cute halloween dp. The only think I did was punch a hole in the corner of the Chief Riley to tie the orange checked ribbon through.  Very simple, but I think it is perfect for a little Halloween treat for a co-worker or friend.

Riley and Company Sneak Peek #3 and Riley Challenge

Today I have the third Riiley and Company  sneak peek which I have also made into the Riley Challenge card...Yeah I know, the challenge card should have been posted yesterday, I'm a day late.  It's not that I struggled with the challenge but must admit that I don't usually make full cards, just card fronts, therefore, there is no inside to decorate, LOL....So here is my card:

And the inside is decorated like this: 

The Hiking Riley was colored with copic markers and whilc the image was still in the spellbinder die it was airbrushed to give the nice crisp white border.    The leaf mask was sprayed with my copic airbrush system as well to give the leaf pattern and give the appearance of Riley hiking through trees...Okay use your imagination.

Pumpkin Pushing!!!

I had some time to color yesterday and here is one of the fun images I colored.  Isn't this just too cute??!!!

The little bee and ladybug boy are so cute pushing this pumpkin up the grassy hill is a new image from Sassy Cheryl's last week called........Cliff Hanging Pumpkin pushing.  I couldn't resist this as a sweet fall image and it was so fun to color. 

The image was colored with copic markers and the sky and parts of the grassy area were airbrushed with my copic airbrush system. 

The little ladybug in the upper right corner was punched out with my ladybug corner punch, I like her gliding along the edge of the paper.  I left the embellishments to a minimum, a couple of buttons and a rolled paper flower were enough as I really didn't want to detract from the cute image....no I wasn't just being lazy... :)

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Week 2

Wow, we had over 130 ladies participate in the first Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge last week. That is so awesome and the cards that the ladies made were so wonderful and proves how many ubber talented ladies there are in this group.

Here is my Fall limited embellishment card for Challenge Week 2 hosted by Sandy:

The challenge is to make a Fall themed card and only use two embellishments. If the challenge police are watching I am under arrest as I have 3 embellishments :)

One of the things that I loved to do as a child in the fall was rake leaves. I used to rake them into a house and make rooms or just into a pile to jump into. My kids carried on the tradition and now my grandkids love my huge maple tree in the front yard which offers the same raking party in the fall.

I colored the image with copic markers and sponged with Tim Holtz distress ink. The maple leaves are a MS maple leaf punch and I sponged the edges. I used paint chips for the punched leaves instead of cs. The large maple leaf is a silk maple leaf purchased at Michaels. The Autumn brad was in a dollar bin pack at Target.

KLM Digital Designs Fall card!

Good Morning,

Today I have new fall scene card created using the Harvest Scarecrow image from KLM Digital Designs. There are a lot of beautiful fall images available so go take a look at the store. Here is my card using the scarecrow leaned on a fence post with pumpkins, it doesn't get much more fall like than that!

Colored with copic markers and sponged with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink. The yellow sentiment panel is a Spellbinders Label4 which I only used half just for some interest.

The random faux stitching around the main card base was created using my single row Cutter Bee bug.

If I have time I am going to post my card for the Digital Two for Tuesday challenge. I have it all colored just need to make a card so maybe later today or tonight after I get off work.
