Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--My Favorite Mo's Card/Project in 2013.

Wow, the weeks are just going too quickly, it is Thursday and that means time for a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.  The theme this week is to choose your favorite Mo's project in 2013.  I have always loved Dream and loved creating the card so that is my choice...but it was so hard to choose:

I really loved the colors and dp used for this project.  I think part of my liking is the sweet look on her face and how much I enjoyed coloring it, but I enjoy coloring them all, like I said it was hard to choose so I chose another image too...imagine that LOL.

As a sewer, I won't say seamstress, that would be a stretch, but I loved this image and it was so fun to create this easel card with all of the fun embellishments, I still have it sitting in my craft room :)

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards when you stop by the challenge blog and see what everyone has created,  then look back and choose your favorite Mo's challenge project and post it for the 2 week challenge.  Enjoy your holidays and families and we look forward to seeing your beautiful project again and if it is your first time playing along with us, go ahead a create a new card and post that, it will be your favorite of the year for sure :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week. Merry Christmas  and Happy Holidays to all of my  friends in the Mo's Digital Pencil World.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--My Favorite Sassy Cheryl's Project this year!!!

It's time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and the theme this week is to choose your favorite Sassy Cheryl's project, card you have created during the past year and share it with us again.  OMG, this was soooo hard, I love every project image that I use and it was so hard to choose, so I actually have two:

I am kind of a vintage kinda gal and so the colors and old bicycle to me go with Maddie saluting the Flag...the image is called:  Honoring the Flag.

Second is my black and white card using Noah...he is so cute:  The image is called: Come here Often?

Hope you all have wonderful Christmas gatherings planned and because you are so busy at this time of year, the challenge for you as well is to choose your favorite project, card you have shared with us this past year and let us enjoy it again.  If you are joining for the first time, by all means, go to the shop and grab a new wonderful image and create a new card, we would love to see everyone's creations.

Be sure to drop by the Challenge Blog and see what the other DT members chose as their favorite creations, I know I will enjoy seeing them again.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day and Merry Christmas, or Happy Holidays whichever fits your life.  Love ya!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil--Animal,Insect, Fairy

Thursday and that means a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge brought to you by the talented Debbie, who chose the awesome theme:  Animals, Insects, or Fairies.  Isn't that wonderful?  Here is my project using Owl Moon:

Since I first saw this image I had to have it and spent hours coloring it a few weeks ago, so was thrilled when Debbie chose this theme , Thanks Debbie :)  I really tried to keep the embellishments to a minimum so as not to detract from the beautiful image, which I highlighted by framing with a piece of cs the exact color as the owls wrap.  A leather flower, silver embellishments and a mesh band and my Animal card is complete.

Be sure to drop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for your viewing pleasure and grab a Mo's image and play along in the challenge for a chance to win a 5 dollar gift certificate.  Mo gives one away for each 25 entries in the challenge each week, pretty cool huh?!?

Thanks for stopping by and when you need a break from Christmas stuffs, grab a Mo image and color up a challenge card, we would love to see your entry.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Ribbons and Bows

Time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and our hostess this week is the super talented Kecia, who chose the wonderful theme Ribbons and Bows.  Love ribbons and bows so here is what I created with a wonderful Sassy snowman called, The Cardinal Snowman:

I wanted to keep this a CAS card and colored the image totally forgetting the image was called the "Cardinal" snowman and colored the cardinal blue, what????? I guess it has been soooo cold here in Omaha that my Cardinal has turned Blue, but, by hanging out with this sweet Sassy snowman he will warm up quickly and turn red again soon :)  That's my story and I am sticking to it :)   A border created with my MS  score maker  and then outlined it with clear glittery Atyou pen was added.  A cuttlebug snowflake folder was used to create the bottom layer of the card which allows the blue snowflake ribbon to shine.
A silver love heart charm and photo corner and my Ribbons and Bows card is complete.

Be sure to drop by the challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT has created with ribbons and bows and grab a Sassy Cheryl's image and play along for a chance to win a two Sassy Cheryl's images of your choice if you are the winner in the random drawing.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week and try to stay warm :)

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--I is for:

Happy Thursday, Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge is back after a two week challenge and we are excited to see what everyone comes up with for the theme, I is for:

I absolutely had to have this sweet, Miles in Winter, image because my husband feeds the squirrels in our yard so this is my Christmas card for him :)  Because the squirrel is perched on his head which naturally would be "treacherous" and/ or Miles is "awaiting a chance to entrapment"  my I is for word is Insidious.... Ha Ha, cute image and a grammar lesson, doesn't get much better than that huh.....

Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what other I words the DT came up with, always fun to see and grab a Mo image to play along for a chance to win a 5 dollar gift certificate for each 25 entries in the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week :)

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Anything Goes!!

Welcome back to a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.  The theme this week is Anything Goes, so you can do whatever you want just use a Sassy Cheryl's image :)  I chose That's Hot:

The image was colored with copic markers and neutral tones, which is a color combination I particularly like for Chistmas cards.  Gives me a chance to use some of my vintage christmas dp I have stashed forever.....A little bakers twine and red/white checked ribbon, a button and sled and my sweet Holiday card is complete.  The sentiment says it all.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT has created.  Grab a Sassy image and play along, for a chance to win 2 images of your choice in the random drawing held weekly, or in this case 2 weeks since it was a two week challenge because of Thanksgiving holiday in the US.

Hope you are having a wonderful time shopping and when you need a break, create a project for the challenge and get a gift for yourself if you win :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week.

Mo's Digital Pencil--Anything but a Card!

Time for a new Mo's Challenge, and I am the hostess for the challenge this week and have chosen the theme, Anything but a Card.  I have chosen  an adorable Christmas image called, Henry with Wreath:

I love to make gift card holders and decorate them with an image for the holiday or celebration to make them special for the recipient.  Makes giving a gift card a little more tolerable for me :)  I use the gift boxes from Hobby Lobby or Michaels , the ones you find near the check-out, usually a dollar or so, that have the plastic insert for the gift card.
Be sure to drop by the Challenge Blog and check out what the rest of the super talented DT has created that isn't a card...I can't wait. then grab an image from the Store and play along in this two week challenge for a chance to win a 5 dollar gift certificate which Mo offers for each 25 entries in the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Make it Vintage

It's Thursday and Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge time and I get the privilege of being the hostess.  I love Vintage and I love Late:

I love this floppy eared old bunny and have probably used him more than any other Mo's image, I tend to use them once and then go on to the next awesome image, but Late just keeps me coming back.  I added some of my favorite vintage touches, the string of faux pearls, lace, photo corner, rolled flowers with pearl centers and added twill and grosgrain  ribbon to the binding.   The colors are soft and antiquey and go with the rose dp I chose for the cover of my notebook I altered.

Be sure to drop by the Challenge Blog and check out the rest of the DT creations and welcome the new DT members as well.  Grab a Mo's image and play along with the Vintage challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week and remember to do something crafty, it is very therapeutic :)

Mo's Digital Pencil--For the Boys

We're back with a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge after having a two week challenge.  Our hostess this week is the super talented Anja, who has chosen the theme, For the Boys.  I just had to use, Zombified:

Totally adorable image Mo created for Halloween and I had to color him with green skin to look kind of frankensteinish, even though the name is zombified LOL.  I am such a rebel, I know !!! I chose some halloween dpp from my stash, a trio of brads for the side and a pumpkin patch charm.  The pumpkin is cricut generated and I added shadowing with copic markers, not sure I am thrilled with the end result of that but it is what it is, he looks happy at any rate :)

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations, I know they are going to be stupendous as always.  Gab a Mo's image and play along in the challenge remembering you have to use a Mo's image and for every 25 entries Mo gives a 5 dollar gift certificate to the Store in the random drawing.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week :)

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--School Days

Happy Tuesday and welcome to a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge :)  The theme this week brought to you by the super talented Kecia, is, School Days.  I chose the darling new image,  Leave Nothing to Chance:

How can you not fall in love with this mischevious character, trying to decide whether to go to school or not and if he does whether or not to take an apple for the teacher LOL.  You have to get really creative when you Have to use a new image because it is soooo darn cute and it has to fit the theme.  Sometimes I have to get really creative with my sentiments :)  It works my brain overtime-- Pat loves it , don't let her tell you otherwise.  The apples are wood die cuts and a couple of green buttons hold the sentiments in place.  The fall plaid ribbon is from Michaels. I distressed the kraft oval behind Max just to make it more masculine.   The numbers are also wooden die cuts, love them :)

Be sure to drop by the Challenge Blog and check out the rest of the School Days creations by the Sassy sisters and then grab a Sassy Cheryl's image and play along for a  chance to win 2 images of your choice in the weekly random drawing.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week.

Colored with copic markers  and my don't they look like they are having a ball riding down the hill in their "box"car LOL  wasn't being a kid so much fun!!!oh, wait I still do this kind of stuff .......I added a few Tim Holtz gears an a Stop Light charm for tun and then a trio of hand made flowers.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Say it with Flowers!!

Thursday and that means it is time for a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and I am once again the hostess and chose the theme Say it with Flowers...imagine that :)  I chose to use Make a Wish:

When you get to be my age you aren't as excited about Birthdays as you used to be and I thought this sweet little Mo's image blowing on a dandelion kind of fit my sentiment perfectly if you put the two together.  If I have to put the two together for you, the sentiment is : Birthday's Blow, LOL.  The Dandelion used to be a yellow flower.  I used a spiral flower I made on the right hand side center  and on the bottom left I used a pretty blue and white striped cs and added a turquoise butterfly. I would have made more flowers but I didn't want to hide the beautiful flowered dp and detract from the sweet Mo image :).

Be sure to check out the Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT members have created for you to see and just a note, this is a two week challenge, which means you have two weeks to make and post your  Flower card to the posting.  So grab an image from Mo's Store and play along for a chance to win one of the 5 dollar gift certificates given for every 25 entries each week.  .

Don't forget also that we are searching for a few Guest Design Team Members for a 3 month term, so when you enter your Challenge card, if you want to be considered put GD behind your name.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Lavendar and Lilac

Yippee!! Tuesday means a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and the Challenge theme this week is Lavendar and Lilac. I chose the image Sally's Fall Pumpkin:

I just love Sally with her little pumpkin, she reminds me of my girls at Halloween time going to the pumpkin patch picking out their little pumpkins, they treasured the whole season :) Colored her outfit in the chosen theme colors of Lilac and Lavendar and airbrushed the blue sky.   Mounted on a variety of Halloween dp I have in my gynormous stash of Halloween papers :)

I created the BOO banner using my spider MS punch and some bakers twine and a little Tim Holtz distress paint.   A couple of Halloween photo spider corners and my cute card ready for giving.

Be sure to drop by the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT girls have created for you to see in lavendar and lilac and while you are there grab a Sassy Cheryl's image and play along in the challenge for a chance to win 2 images in the random drawing held each week !!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Anything Goes!!!

I love the first Thursday of the month at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge because it is Anything Goes as the theme for the Challenge and I got to use the new Winter image Mo just created called: Snow Pals:

Colored with  copic markers and my favorite white fur embellishment,  Signo uniball white gel pen, which is the only pen I use for any white pen trim that I need. They don't dry out and always leave a beautiful fluid trail.  They are a little pricey and hard to find but well worth the price. Love them.  I use for animal fur and fur on clothing, so I really love winter so I can add fur trim detail to these darling creations that Mo creates :)
I added a lamp post which I cut with my cricut and the globe is a 1/2 in circle punch of vellum which I sponged with distress ink and glued to the base, looks real  Huh?

A trio of hand made flowers  a picket fence, probably frozen :) and some snowflakes with jewel centers and my Anything Goes Card is ready for winter sharing.

Be sure to drop by the Mo's Challenge Blog and see what the rest of my talented team mates have created for you to see and remember that we are having a competition, if that is the correct term, to choose new Guest Design Team members for a 3 month term, so if you would like your Challenge entry to be considered for the GDT entry put the letters GD behind your name on your Challenge entry.  Remember you must use a Mo's image for the Challenge and there is a drawing every week from the entries and with a 5 dollar gift certificate given for every 25 entries.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

It's time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and the theme this week, chosen by our super talented GD Joann is: Off the Page for which I chose The Good Little Witch Sally:

It is getting to be Fall in the Midwest, and that means it is getting to be nearly Halloween season.  I thought it was time to start making some cute Halloween cards and Sassy Cheryl's has some adorable images for the season.  Sassy Sally is dressed up as The Good Little Witch for this occasion and ready for the party along with her friends, the bat in the corner and spider in the lower bottom.  A couple of googly eyes to hold the goo border and a few halloween colored buttons and some orange and black polka dot ribbon and Sally is ready to wish someone a Happy Halloween !!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--End of Summer!

Thursday means time for a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge, and the theme is, End of Summer.  I always think of the End of summer meaning School, and an Apple for the Teacher! so I chose the new, Harvest  Apple Fairy:

Isn't this just the sweetest little fairy you have ever seen, at least since the last one that Mo created and until she makes another one...I always love Mo's little fairies :)  I think any teacher would make this little harvest apple fairy her favorite student.  Not sure my apple doesn't look more like a peach, but I will just have to practice my technique, darn the bad luck :)

Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created for the challenge and grab an image and play along.  If you are interested in a Guest Design position for 3 months with the team put GD behind your name with your challenge entry for consideration.  There will still be the usual random drawing for a 5 dollar gift
certificate to the Mo's Store, for every 25 entries to the Challenge.  Have you seen all of the new images that Mo has been creating?  They are so awesome...I did some buying last week :)

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Make a Splash!

I can't believe that it is almost Fall already and that the time for playing in the water is almost over.  The Make a Splash theme is perfect for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week.  I chose Quiet Moments with Max:

Colored with copic markers, clouds airbrushed. then image mounted  on neutral dp's.  I punched a border on the right side and used some washi tape I made that had the perfect sayings on it for a quiet contemplative visit with a friend by the pond :)  A ribbon on the left hand side onto which I added a button bike trinket I made to go with this card to symbalize that Max might have ridden his bike to the pond to visit his friend and tell him all about what he had done all summer.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and see what water or splash themed cards they created, then grab a Sassy Cheryl image and play along for a chance to win  no one but two Sassy Cheryl's images of your choosing in the random drawing held each and every week.  Now tell me, does it get any better than that!!!

Of course you must use a Sassy Cheryl's image to enter and win...no brainer....

Ms Patty was just not thrilled about the prospect of having to put on a dress to celebrate your birthday...so just get over it already!!!  20 years from now she will send you a card and still be grumbling about the years, LOL. but that's what friends are for isn't it :)

You either love clowns or they scare you to death, but I for one LOVE them and this Sassy Sally dressed as a Clown is just perfect colored up to wish anyone a Happy Birthday.  A birthday balloon punched from metallic cs and flowers hand crafted in the corner make this a special birthday wish.  Don't you just want to beep that red nose LOL.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Sweet!!!

Happy Thursday!! Time for a new, Mo's Challenge, with a Sweet theme this week.  Of course I have been way too good for way too long so I had to stretch the theme just the tiniest bit...but every single one of Mo's images are Sweet so they all qualify, right?... so I chose, Gathering Kindling:

I fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it and couldn't wait to use it .  I dug out my Christmas dp and after two sets of photo corners these were the right ones :).  I added a wooden die cut bird, blue flower, lace and sweet smile sentiment to make this a wonderful cover for my Christmas Journal this year.  Some of my favorite images to color are the Sweet Children of Christmas and Winter that Mo creates, I can spend hours and hours coloring them.  Love them.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Black and White!!

Happy Tuesday!!! Time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge for which I am the hostess and this week I chose the theme, Black and White, as in a black and white photo:

I chose, Come Here Often, featuring the handsome Noah.  Colored with many shades of grey and just to keep it from looking ghastly normal flesh tones :) Hey it's my theme I can cheat a little :)   A little Glossy effects to the ice cream Sundae glass, a couple of black and white brads holding a flower and photo strip.

I always seem to choose this theme when it is my turn, much to my teamies chagrin :) but I love black and white photos so much I have decorated my second bedroom in this theme.  I have taken most of my family photos and edited them to black and white and framed them, have a black and white bedspread.  A black and white table runner made a beautiful valance for my window, a black and white semi plush rug and black desk lamp with red lamp shade and my photo gallery room is a great guest room.

Be sure to check out the Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT has created, they complained (a little) but created beautiful cards :) So grab a Sassy image and join in the challenge fun.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week.

Mo's Digital Pencil--Water Water!!

Yep, it is Thursday and that only means one thing.....Time for a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge...this week the theme is Water Water.... I chose the adorable Bring on Summer:

Isn't this just the cutest summer image that fit the theme perfectly.  Mo gave this image away for free on Facebook  during one of her occasional 12 hour free image facebook unannounced giveaways.  It is now available in the shop.  Just too darn cute, in a homely sorta way, but he will grow up to be a  handsome man for sure! Enjoying the last few weeks on the beach before school with his inner tube and water gun.

Be sure to drop by the  Challenge Blog and see what the DT has created for your viewing pleasure.  While you are there grab a Mo's image and play along in the Challenge for a chance to win a 5 dollar gift certificate since Mo gives one away for every 25 entries...pretty good huh!!.  Not too soon to start thinking about those Christmas cards and Mo has been creating some new Christmas images so perfect time to get one or two and create a card for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Anything but a Card!

Time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and I think I am the hostess :). I chose the theme Anything by a Card because I love to make altered projects and hope you do too. I used We're All Ears:

I love to create little gift boxes for my grandkids using the Hobby Lobby or Michaels ones they have at the check-outs.  This one happened to be black so I didn't have to paint it or cover the bottom.  Here is a pix of the way it looks apart:

Colored the image with copics and then added two strips of musical note washi tape.   3 lady bugs and a happy tag were the fun elements I added to the front and a beautiful large red rose which I made a while back in one of my marathon rose making sessions :)  Sometimes it is nice to just grab one and attach it LOL.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects, they are very creative you know!!!  Grab a Sassy Cheryl's image and add it to an altered item or make a tag, book mark, gift bag, the possibilities are endless.  Cheryl has lots of new images to choose from too.   One in particular I am grabbing for a bookmark or back to school journal  :)

Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful creative day, remember crafting is cheaper than therapy!!! That's my story and I am sticking to it!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge-- G is for........

Thursday is upon us and that means it is time for a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and the challenge this week is, G is for.....  I don't know why this is always such a challenge? Maybe because there are so many possibilities.  I chose Caitlin for her Gift:

Colored with copic markers and airbrushed, I added a green polka dot bow, a green metallic camera  and cell phone (which someone had texted Love), which I had cut with MFT dies.  A few hand made roses and a doile and my little birthday card with the green bag is ready to go.  How can you resist that darling face ?!?

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Vintage, Cream and White with Lace

Wow, where do the weeks go, it is already time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and the theme this week is Vintage Cream and White by our hostess Judy. I chose Patience Secret:

I colored Sassy Sally in the image Patience Secret with copic markers and then  cut it out by hand with her friends the lady bugs who just happens to be at a Garage Sale with all of her Grandma's beautiful vintage stuff.  The dress form with the beautiful hand made pink flower,  Sally laid down on the grass to contemplate the things, memories and visions she can only imagine.  A string of faux pearls finishes off the Vintage feel for me.  A wooden die butterfly, a couple of  TH sentiments on the banner and mannequin, and my Vintage Cream and White card is complete. Even with a touch of pink I think it is pretty close to being a perfect challenge card....

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT challenge cards they are awesome and grab a Sassy Cheryl's image and play along for a chance to win a chance to win two Sassy Cheryl's images in the random drawing held each week.  Someone gets to win and it might as well be you.

It's Tuesday and that means a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, and a super fun theme of BFF, (Best Friends Forever),  for which I chose Maddie and Max, That's What Friends are For:

Colored with copics and the water was airbrushed and the waves were cut from a MFT die and cut in half, the tops were sponged with TH paint daubers.  A beautiful blue flower, that for once that I did not make LOL.  mounted over my typewriter letters spelling out BFF.   I cut an anchor out of metalic cs using my cricut, using my potpourri basket cartridge.   A little washi tape and a few itty bitty buttons and my BFF card is complete.

Mo's Digital Pencil--Turquoise!

Thursday is Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge day and that means another wonderful Challenge...the theme this week is Turquoise and I chose Yeehaw:

What a fun challenge theme and I loved this Old Guy Mo created...maybe I can relate to the old people....maybe they are just too fun to color, you decide LOL.  Colored with copic markers and sponged with distress inks.  over stamped with my crackle stamp ( I love this for antique look images) and then I mounted my image on some Old Guys Rule dp I had in my stash.

I added a lot of fun vintage embellishments, film onto which I added a rub on sentiment.  I added an Oldie but Goodie round sentiment on a wiggly wobbly dimensional thingy,( technical crafty term ),  I had made some time ago.  A couple of metal photo corners and  a ribbon I tied onto a tiny label I had punched with a ribbon and tied the ribbon through a tied the bow and topped with the button.    I love the way it turned out.

Be sure to drop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created, I know they will have some awesome cards.  While you are there, grab an image or two and play along for a chance to win one of the 5 dollar gift certificates, one for each 25 entries in the challenge, pretty generous huh!!!

Have a wonderful creative week.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Fun and Games!

It is Tuesday and time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.  Our Challenge theme this week is Fun and Games and I chose the darling image, Maddie is Flying High, for my card:

I love the way the colors of this card turned out.  I ended up covering up most of the DP but it is trees and it looked like Maddie was flying through the trees, oh well, I just had so much fun with all of my embellishments, but I couldn't stop myself. Clouds and All   First I had this lamp post: I punched a small 1/2 inch circle from vellum and sponged with brown and blue distress ink to give the illusion of a street light globe, I loved the way it turned out :)   No wonder it takes me hours to color an image LOL.

A few hand made flowers sponged with brown and blue to blend in and a Travel tag to which I added a wood button tied with bakers twine.  I really like the way that everything came together and Maddie just flew into Fun and Games for summer fun.
Stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT Sassies created and grab a Sassy image and see  what you can create for the challenge. You might be the lucky winner of the random drawing for two Sassy images.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Mo's Digital Pencil--Love!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week is Love and I took a little different twist on the usual theme, imagine that :)  I used Johnny Baseball:

To me summer means lots of sports and my girls played softball and my son played baseball, so this cute little guy just caught my fancy.  Omaha just hosted the NCAA College World Series and we have a minor league baseball team for the Kansas City Royals so Baseball is pretty much all around here in the summer.

Colored the image with copics and sponged with TH distress ink on the base shaped image layer.
The Twill tape is stamped with the Take Me out to the Ball Game and baseball stitching and I have a whole roll of it :) The rest of the Sentiments are computer generated.  The star is die cut and attached to a round paper clip to hold the Love sentiment.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and see what they have created for the Love theme, grab a Mo image and play along for a chance to win a 5 dollar gift certificate given for every 25 entries.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Hats Off!!

Hello, time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Hats Off.  A very cool challenge with all of the new Sassy Cheryl images with hats!!! I chose Firefly Frenzy Maddie:

I had so much fun coloring and adding embellishments to this sweet image.  Maddie and her jar of fireflies just reminds me of the days that I used to catch them, put them in a jar but always left the lid off at night so they could escape and not die :) I mounted her on a green tag and added 3 cute buttons and a wise Owl to guard her on her night of firefly hunting. You can get Maddie with fireflies, Max with Fireflies or an image with both Maddie and Max, how cool is that.

I added a banner, which I kind of stole the idea for from some I have seen, I went to the site that sells them, but I couldn't justify 16.95 for a die plus shipping so I cut out 4 rectangles,  cut out the triangles at the bottom, punched out the hearts and glued them to some baker's twine, not quite the same but I like it.  I added a nice strip of pink cs I punched a nice MS border on both sides and added some TH washi tape down the middle and a pretty pink button at the top.

Be sure to drop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT created for the Hats off challenge and leave them some love and grab a Sassy Image from the Store and play along. Thanks to everyone who played along in the Americana/Red White and Blue Challenge last week, we had a great turn out considering it was a Holiday week.  Wonderful cards.

Have a wonderful creative week and thanks for stopping by.

Heart Memory Box for my Bathroom-Yeah Really LOL

I  just repainted my bathroom off my craft room a couple of weeks ago and needed some kind of print or decor above the toilet and couldn't decide whether to make it or thrift shop something?!?  I was bored on Wednesday and so I made a quick dash to Michael's and found some Memory boxes on sale for 4.99 instead of the usual 14.99.  I grabbed this heart thinking I could make something for my bathroom.  This is what I came up with.

I enjoy making cards, but I love creating altered projects, it took me hours to find and print and cut out all of the images I used for my different sections.  The heart was brown to begin with and I painted it with Tim Holtz white crackle paint and because I am such a patient person dried it with my heat gun so I could keep working :).

I knew I wanted an outhouse so I found one on line and printed it out the appropriate size and but it out for the upper left hand corner.  I cut out my new cute bicycle, two gate sections, a flower and added a wood die cut flower stem with leaves and a bird which I added to the roof of the outhouse.
The other top section I added a arch window which I mounted on mounted tape for dimention I found a man and woman which I printed and cut out and the Vintage directional finger often used to point to restrooms  and a medium size flower.

Lower bottom I added some stripe dp and added some clothes pins in two different sizes, wood buttons and a cute clother hanger which I just love all of these darling embellishments and rather perfect since my craft room, bathroom is right next to my laundry room :)

My final section is of course my favorite because I love to make flowers by hand, I use my Sizzix Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die and cut each plate out 4 times so that each flower would have lots of fullness.  I crumpled each piece into a ball, and after uncrumpling each piece, I punched a hole with my frog stabber, I not to play with the flowers too much because they can be a little fragile after I have beat them up as much as I have but I usually scrunch them up a bit if needed.  The two smaller flowers are made using my cuttlebug quill die cut set.
To finish this section I airbrushed a string of faux pearls grey and added  translucent seed beads.  A couple of dragon flies which I sponged with distressed ink and a butterfly which I also sponged with distress ink.  A couple of wooden die cut leaves and my project is done.

Thanks for stopping by to see my project.  I am trying to decide if I want to hang it with ribbon or alone.  Any suggestions are welcome.  Leave them in the comment area :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Hugs

First of all, Happy 4th of July, to my friends in the USA.  It is time for a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and the theme is: Begins with "F", and thought it would be fun to use the new Birthday Girl called, Whoopee, because I think she is "F"abulous:

Colored with copics and distressed with TH distressed inks,  Mounted on some rose flowered, pink checked and white cs.  A strip of musical TH washi tape was added to the pink and white checked dp.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Americana/Red White and Blue

Woo Hoo, It is Tuesday and time for a newSassy Cheryl's Challenge, and I get to be the Hostess.  I chose Americana because I love it and because in the USA it is 2 days before July 4th, yep July 2nd is two days before July 4th when we celebrate Independence Day.  They really let me graduate high school back in the dark ages.  I chose the too stinkin cute, Honoring the Flag--Maddie, to make my card:

Red, White and Blue to me is Americana,  Americana is Vintage, Vintage is Antique and Antique is distressed, so that is the direction my card took and Maddie followed that direction very well, I really like the way this little card turned out colored with copics, distressed with a lot of Tim Holtz distressed inks  and a little ink splattering, yeah I had a ball :)

The cute bicycle in the lower right corner is a free SVG file you can find on my pinterest board and the banner I made and punched holes with a tiny hole punch to string the bakers twine through to make it look just the way it wanted it to.   I created a red white and blue cutttlebug flower and then paint splattered it as I also did the bicycle, and banner.  The Peace sentiment is Tim Holtz also.

Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for the challenge and be sure to drop by the new Sassy DT members blogs to welcome them and leave them a little love.  We are very excited to have them join us for the next few months and seeing their wonderful Sassy creations.
