To the Beach girls!!! I kind of cheated..just a little LOL

I really love the new beach images Mo's Digital Pencil has released this past week.  My last project was a beach scene with a palm tree and two little beach babies.  Tonight I have the teen version call To the Beach straight hair and curly hair, catchy names huh?  Here is the project I completed tonight:

Because this is a 12X12 page the colored image looks small so I also took a close up picture:

When I merged the two girls I reversed the straight haired girl on the right so they looked like real teen girls chatting away on the way to the beach about boys, , friends and movies.

The image was colored with copic markers and the sponging was done with SU cool Caribbean ink.

Now for the cheating part.  The layout is a 12X12 ready to put your photo on page by K & Company paper pack called Instant pages.    It was just so perfect I didn't do anything except add the colored image.  You could add ribon or buttons, lots of different embellishments but I thought it was perfect the way it was.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day.

Summer Fun--New Mo's Digital Pencil Beach images!!!

I have always enjoyed merging images and when Mo's Digital Pencil released these newest little beach beauties I had to have them, and couldn't even wait for the ink to dry to start creating....I am such a patient person..........NOT!!!!  What do you think?:

Don't you wish you were there?  Janie and Jeffy are from, the Girls in July, and Boys in July, new stamps which I merged with Pirate Isle palm tree from the Pirate Stuff set.  Once I got these new images I couldn't wait to start creating with them.  I have also created a card with the To the Beach girls....maybe my card for tomorrow.

I guess I could mention a couple of details about my card :)   It was merged in PhotoShop Elements 7 and I don't know if I do it the right way, I figured out what worked for me to merge the way I wanted and have no problems.
The images were colored with copic markers and  the clouds were sponged in with distress ink.  This is really not hard and there are several programs that allow you to merge the images quickly and easily, and some are free like Gimp3.

Hope you enjoyed this little summer getaway with me, and be sure to check out Mo's newest images, there is something for everyone (or a few somethings LOL   )

Have a great day.

Super Fun Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

This week the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge hostess is Elaine who has chosen the theme:  Beach or Summer.  What fun!  I chose a Summer Beach scene LOL   . l chose Pool Party Bella and Bronte and placed them on a beach:

I hope you can see the details of the ocean scene and the sky.  You can double click on the image to get a closer look.  The sand was created with copic markers and a copic multi-liner for the tiny black specks.  The ocean was created with copics as well, with the white caps created with a white gel pen.  The clouds were created by sponging distressed ink using a mask to form the clouds.  Check out Bella's nose, I gave her white nose coat sunscreen so she wouldn't sunburn her nose.  LOL, I couldn't resist!!!

The fun dp was from a paper pack in the dollar bin at Target last year.

An orange check bow and an orange polka dot paper flower with a button center complete my beach scene.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations, they are wonderful!!!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the new images Mo has created  they are cute and Lizzy in a Tizzy is too funny!!!

Have a great day!!

Miss Kansas?

Mo's Digital Pencil has a new series of images from the States, the first is Kansas.  I used to live in Kansas so this was a must have for me (besides she is adorable).  Here she is:

Isn't she just the sweetest little Dorothy, see Toto in the basket.?   I colored her in the movie colors but didn't make her hair as dark.  She was colored with copic markers and sponged with Faded Jeans distress ink.

I used a blue polka dot dp from my stash and added a narrow red checked ribbon tied with a bow knot.  I used a white crepe paper flower that I airbrushed with blue after it was finished.  The red leaves are MS punch leaves.  A trio of 3 red buttons and Dorothy can click those sparkly red shoes.

I can't wait to see what State Mo does next,  I can't even envision what she will come up with for Iowa or Nebraska, corn just doesn't seem to make a really cute image, guess it is a good thing I am not the illustrator.

I just wanted to share this little darling with you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge It's a Sketch!!!

It feels so good to be creating again.  I finally got my new contacts on Friday so I can see to color in the lines now LOL. Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week is a Sketch Challenge.   I love sketch challenges and this one was a lot of fun.  Here is what I created:

I'm not really ready to make Christmas cards yet, but I couldn't wait to use this hysterically funny image Sassy Boss Lady created last week called Getting Stuck.  I love it Cheryl.  My 4 year old grandson actually did this last winter because his older brother told him to.  Gotta love Big Brothers!!!

The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with SU pretty pink .  The pink panel was run through my cutttlebut snowflake folder and the dp is from the Cosmo Cricket Mini Deck paper pack from last Christmas.  I really thought the pink and green was christmassy enough for July!!!
The flowers are felt and cut with my cuttlebug flower die and adorned with a white snowflake button.

I think the sentiment says it all!!

Be sure you check out the rest of the DT creations, they are awesome as always.

Take a few minutes this week to join us for the challenge, it is fun and you could win a gift certificate from Sassy Cheryl's

Mo's Digital Pencil Birthday Celebration Blog Hop!!!

If you are a regular visitor to my blog welcome, but if you are looking for the Mo's Digital Pencil Birthday Celebration Blog Hop you may want to go back and start at Lisa's Blog so you don't miss a single stop along the way.  If you arrived here from Paola's Blog you are in the right spot.  Today we are having a special Blog Hop to celebrate the 85th Birthday of Ginger, Mo's mother.  From what we have been told Ginger is one of the biggest fans of the Design Teams images and of course her special daughter Mo Manning, the one and only owner of Mo's Digital Pencil.  Here is the card I created for Ginger, Happy Birthday Mummu!!!

This Chubby Fairy is and has always been one of my favorite Mo images.  The Mo's Digital Pencil Dream Team is the organizer of the Blog Hop and make sure you visit all of their DT blogs as well, I know it will be a wonderful Birthday Card Shower.

Thanks for stopping by my blog along the hop.  Next blog along the way is Peggy Marsh.  Thank you for joining us on this Birthday Celebration for Ginger.

I am also entering this card in the Crazy 4 Challenges , challenge this week which is to use at least 2 different ribbons.  If lace qualifies, I do too LOL!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Wow it is Thursday already!!!

Hi everyone,  It has been a long week and I don't really feel like I have accomplished much but I had to get a card done for Elaine's wonderful challenge this week to use fabric on your card for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.  Well, last week I saw the cutest bear Dawn B. had used for her challenge card.  I love bears and snowmen, so had to check out the bears.  Bought the Berry Bear set and had to use this little cutie for my card,  Thanks Dawn!!!:
Don't you agree these are the cutest bears?  I colored him with copic markers and then took my blender pen and tapped it all over the body.  Next I took a "nasty" cloth ( that is really what they call it in Copic Certification class) which was a square of a terry cloth wash cloth and brushed my brown copic marker onto the fabric and pressed it over the body giving the fur like texture.  You probably have to click on the image to enlarge it to see the texture.
The TopNote die was sponged with distress ik and mounted over a MS scalloped edge border piece I placed behind the main image.  The dp is Eskimoo Kisses from my Christmas stash last year but I thought the trees were appropriate.
My fabric is felt, My sister, Peg, was kind enough to bestow upon me her felt pieces left over from a craft project she had done.  I have a whole box and intend to use it with my die's but just don't usually remember it is there until I have used something else.  I wanted a more masculine flower? so used 3 different cuttlebug circle dies for my flower and sewed a button in the center.  I think it is really cute.  I may have to do that more often.
I really appreciate everyone's patience with my blogging.  I am slowly getting back to creating.  I went back to work on Sunday and am struggling a little to have enough energy to do everything I want to so I have had to cut back and go to bed earlier.
Enough of that,  Thanks for stopping by and be sure you check out the rest of the DT's cards, I haven't even gotten a sneak peek this week so they will be a surprise to me too LOL!!
Have a great day.
