Happy Thursday and Welcome to a new, Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge using the theme, Bling. I chose the sweet image, Big Shoes:
This adorable image was colored with copics and shaded then cut with my friskers oval cutter leaving the purse half way out of the oval :) . I then cut a pretty frame with my cricut and my Elegant Edges cartridges and using the same frame type cut the border as well. The bling is the metal border with the purple/pink jewel I mounted in the upper right corner, two jewels at the ends of the border, the coat hanger clip, and the hat pin was hand made.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of my DT Sistah's have created for you to oogle over :) showing off the awesome Mo's images and be sure to grab an image or two and play along in the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Don't be Blue
Are you ready for another fun Challenge as Sassy Cheryl's? Ann is the hostess this week and chose the theme, Don't be Blue, and she wants you to make a card with the theme to be blue. I chose the new, Beauty in the Making, for my card:
I absolutely fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it, and was in desperate need of some serious therapy, so decided to do some image merging using all of the files in this group in one card.....the only one I left out was the shoes...LOL
First I added the music layer and added the Sassy Ballerina over the top. I then simplified it so I could erase the overlapping lines. I then added the top sentiment and lower Dance sentiment all merged as layers and then printed as one image. The program I use is Photo Shop elements 7.
I cheated just a teensy weensy bit and added a little red for the shirt and shoes. I thought it was busy enough that I only added a few embellishments, and wallah, I have me a beautimus card, got a lot of therapy, and got to practice my merging skills. Win Win Win!!!
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards, I know they will be beautiful. Be sure to grab an image or two and play along in the challenge, you may win in the random drawing for two images held every week from the entrants, just use a Sassy image.
Just a reminder that the new, Sassy Cheryl's Store, is ready to go, the images have been moved over from the old store and you can purchase the images from the Bargain bins only until Thursday night, then they will be no longer available.... you snooze. you lose.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Mo's Challenge-Anything by Square
Hurray, it's Thursday and time for another Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge. The Challenge this week brought to you by the super talented Kathleen is: Anything by Square and I chose the, Dragon Hugs, image:
I decided that this adorable image would be so fun made into a cute Photo album so I went with my cricut and cut out the super fun castle from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge at 8 inches. I enhanced the castle details with my airbrush and the Photos letters were also cut with my cricut using the Caligraphy cartridge. The Dragon Hugs image is mounted on photo mounting foam to add dimension.
The pieces are cut from chipboard, thank you very much Shirley Swope, and also from marbled lt blue cs. The photo pages are cut 3X4 and I used my zutter binding system to create the photo album. Kind of small for photos but for little wallet size it will work. I didn't want to make the castle any bigger and the Dragon Hugs image is so precious and perfect for any little guy from 1-101.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you to drool over, or for your creative inspiration for the Anything by Square project :) Be sure to drop by the store and grab an image and play along for a chance at one of the prizes offered for every 25 entries in the challenge. You must use a Mo's image and enter in the challenge blog, easy peasy.
I apologize that I am not able to create any hyper links for the challenge blogs and my image tongiht as the sites are down for maintenance. I will do it tomorrow as soon as the sites are back up.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great, creative, day, I am going to be experiencing a snow storm if the weathermen are predicting correctly :) 7-11 inches is what we are to get so looks like a coloring day for me :)
Hugs,
Cathy

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Sketch Challenge
WooHoo, it's Tuesday and time for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge. The hostess is Dawn and she has chosen to give us a wonderful sketch to follow. I actually followed it exactly:
I used the newest Sassy image, Ace in the Hole, isn't she just too cute. This little card shark is ready to play with anyone and maybe even pull out a flush or straight to win the pot LOL. I usually play with a full house, pun intended :)
Here is the sketch you are to use:
The image was colored with distress inks and an aqua paint brush and mounted on a cricut oval scalloped frame using my Elegant Edges cartridge. I mounted the sentiment and the main image on photo mounting squares to elevate them for a little dimension.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has done with the sketch. The sketch takes half the challenge work out for you and all you have to do is color a Sassy Cheryl's image and enter it.
All images are available at the awesome NEW Sassy Cheryl's Store here: You can still get stamps from the old store and you can get images from the bargain bins but only until March 1 and then there will be no more bargain bins for now so get them while you can. But personally I am so in love with the new images, Max and Maddie are just too cute and all of the new Sally and Noah, oh my!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Happy Birthday!!
Happy Thursday and Happy Valentines Day !!!, it's time for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and this week the theme is Happy Birthday. I just happened to pick up the new Bronte Birthday image :) Here is my card:
How can you not love Bronte? And this image, which I colored with copics, is no exception. I know some people do not think that blue and green go together, but I am from the age group that blue and green were cool together, and I still love it in the right shades, and I threw in the pink so it could be a BD card for a girl and matches Bronte's pink collar.
The embellishments are handmade cricut roses and metal corner scroll with antique typewriter letters with white backgrounds for the sentiment. The bakers twine is just enough ribbon embellishment I think. The dp is from my stash and I think goes perfectly with the blues and greens of the hat and tutu.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT cards. Be sure to grab an image or two from the store, and play along to win as for every 25 entries Mo gives a prize, isn't that awesome!!! The more entrants, the more prizes. And I know everyone needs a Birthday Card.
Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Valentines Day today and a wonderful creative week.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Say it with Love!
Are you ready for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge? The theme this week brought to you by the talented Ms Sassy Judy is With Love and I chose, "Come Here Often":
I grew up in a small town that had a Drug store with a soda fountain and we would gather there to meet our friends after school and church and this brought back many fond memories LOL. In fact a deaf lady who was my mother's best friend and for whom I was named, Cathryn Roberts, worked there as a server. My drink of choice was a green river, just in case you wondered :).
I watercolored this wonderful image with SU watercolor crayons and an aqua paint brush. Love the effect and the antique look, in keeping with the era LOL. I purchased some wood cut out sentiments that I airbrushed for the sentiment in the upper left corner, that was fun. A cricut frame, button and a drink ticket and my With Love card is complete.
I am going to admit now that I didn't read the part where Judy said to add a heart until after I had photographed the card and added it to the file, so I am going with... that I didn't see it at all....sorry Judy. Noah has a huge heart and I think he is in love. Actually I added a small cut out heart to the ticket but did not re-photograph the card.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT cards and see what they have created With Love. Grab a few new images from the, Sassy Cheryl's Store, or the new, Just Being Sally Store, and play along in the challenge to win a couple of images in the random drawing held weekly.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week.

Mo's Digital Challenge--Anything Goes
Thursday is Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge day and the First Challenge of the month is Anything Goes which means we get to choose any image and do with it what we want!!! I have always loved Dream but have never colored it until this week:
I love the flight jackets with the sheepskin collars and tried to get that effect with copics, I think I succeeded :) I love all of the detail that Mo puts into her images but it does take a LOT of time to color it all in but that is the beauty in the finished product!!
The embellishments are some of my new favorites, Tim Holtz tags and antique charms from Michaels. Miscellaneous dp from my stash, a couple of eyelets and a hand crafted pink rose, which is my last one which means I need to get busy making more :)
The trio of cuttlebug quilled flowers and rose in the lower right corner on the fence are my newest favorite flowers to create. Don't you just love the expression on her face :)
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has chosen as their Anything Goes project for this week, I know they will be awesome as always. Grab a Mo's image and play along in the Challenge, for every 25 entries Mo gives away a prize, isn't that awesome.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge --Nature
Yippee, Tuesday is Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, day and the Challenge this week is Nature as chosen by Jeni. I chose to use: Thick as Thieves:
I chose to color my image with SU water color wonder crayons and an aqua painter brush this week. I haven't done this in months, maybe even years. I always just go to my copics, I really do know how to use other mediums :) All Sassy Pat's fault for talking about it :) I really like the way it turned out. I pretty much use a dry brush method and still use regular cs , I know I am weird, but it works for me, as long as you don't use too much water it works...
Wanted to keep it kind of simple to accentuate the super fun new image from the new Just Being Sally site and the image from the Sally and Bella category. They are all so stinking cute, I can't stand it, I have another one all water colored up already just need to finish the card :)
I tied a fun pink bow and added a heart with a trio of my new favorite flowers created with the cuttlebug die cuts.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and see what they created for the Nature theme and while you are there check out the new site and brag a couple of images, play along in the challenge to win a couple of images in the random drawing next week since you must use a Sassy Cheryl's images.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.
