Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Fun in the Sun

It's Thursday and that means it is time for a new, Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge, and the theme is Fun in the Sun.  I chose the image, Baby Fairy Bee :

Colored with copics and sponged with distress ink.  I have seen so many of my DT sistah's color this little darlin and I just had to get her and color her too and I am so glad I did, what  joy!!!  I added glitter pen to the wings which I tried to make translucent .  A hand crafted rose with a bee button , twine bow, a ribbon swirl and a brass corner bracket are the perfect bling for my summer fun card.

Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and check out rest of the DT cards and see what wonderful projects they have created for your to see, I know they will be wonderful.  Join in the Challenge using  Mo's Digital image and for every 25 entries Mo will give  a 5 dollar gift certificate to the store.

The image and bee are from the, 3 Baby Fairies set,  which are just soo irresistible especially with the flying accessories :)  Colored with copics I kept the main image rather soft and made the dp and embellishments the bright and bold statements in the card.  Perfect for just about any occassion don't you think?  Who wouldn't want to get a card with this adorable fairy baby on it?

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--School's Out!!

Did you all enjoy last week's Children's Challenge?  We had so many wonderful entries and boy can those kids color good!!! Wow.....,I better keep practicing :)
This week we have a wonderful new, Mo's Digital Challenge, with hostess Elaine, which is School's Out.  I chose to take the image a rather different way but if you know me you would understand :) and chose the image Dragon Hugs:

Do you wonder why I chose the image for the School's Out theme?  I have always been under the impression that schools have to have worksheets and busywork and large group stuff because of the teacher student ratio of public schools, BUT when school is not in session or when my kids were home it was :  If you don't have a book to read,,..write one... don't give them a coloring book give them a piece of paper and colors, markers or colored pencils.  Instead of watching TV go out and see what animals you can see in the clouds from the back of your horse ( an option my kids had :)or better yet, watch the people on the street, better usually than TV. or at least it was when my kids were younger, not too sure I would recommend it today :).  I thought the Tim Holtz sentiment said it for me perfectly.

I loved coloring this image with copic markers and mounting it on school dp.  I used some red and white checked ribbon and 3 buttons as my only embellishments to keep it rather masculine.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards on the challenge blog and I know you are gonna love what you see.  Be sure to grab a Mo's image and play along in the challenge for a chance to win a 5 dollar gift certificate randomly drawn for every 25 entries, pretty good huh!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Guy Card

Time for a new, Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--make a guy card.  I chose the adorable, Who Burst Your Balloon:

Max was colored with distressed inks and an aqua brush and the clouds were sponged with a sponge dauber and cloud template torn from a post it note, yep that is how I do it.

The strip of dp to the left was punched with my SU spiral punch and I added 3 wood buttons tied with bakers twine and mounted on oval label punches.   A wood, You Rock Sentiment die cut, finishes this masculine card, perfect for any guy occasion.

Be sure to drop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you to see.  Grab a Sassy Cheryl's image and play along in the challenge and you never know if you will be one of those chosen in the random drawing for two Sassy Cheryl images.

Don't forget about the Design Team Call going on now and if you are interested, be sure to read the rules and requirements in the Challenge Blog and when you enter your Challenge card put DT behind your name when  you enter.  I just want to say that I saw a lot of awesome entries this past week and it is going to be really hard to narrow it down.....Keep them  coming you are all awesome.!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Children's Challenge

We are so excited to offer a Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week in which even the children can participate.  Here is my card using, Baby Fairy Ladybug:

This was so much fun to create using the new cute, Baby Fairy Ladybug image, colored with copic markers, sponged with distressed ink.  I used a darling piece of double sided paper which I folded down the top to show  the pink polka dot for the top and added a band of a coordinating band of heart embellished dp.  I added a wood die cut  leaf which I colored with markers and added 3 ladybug buttons and in the 3 roses.  I added a lace doilie and pearls and a Welcome Baby sentiment.

Be sure to stop by the Mo's Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created for this fun Challenge using children images.

For our adult Challenge participants just use a Mo's image of a child to fulfil the challenge requirements and if you have a child, grandchild, niece or nephew who wants to enter, they just need to use any Mo's image of their choosing and make a card with as little adult assistance as possible :) and enter under your challenge entry or blog.  We are so excited to see their entries.

Pink and just a little green and Maddie on the swing are a perfect card for any occassion you may need a card this spring or summer.
