Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--No Embossing!!

Yep it is Tuesday and time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.  I am the hostess again this week for the Challenge and I loved seeing all the wonderful cards for the No DP challenge :)  The Theme this week is another easy one...No embossing...!! I grabbed the new Sassy Sally Takes a Bath for my card:

Sassy Sally was colored with copic markers and sponged with distressed ink.  I added some ruffled rolled flowers from my Flower Shoppe cricut cartridge and a few sprigs of MS punched leaves in matching coral.
The bubbles were all covered with Glossy Accents  as well as the puddles on the floor and the overflow on the sides of the tub.
A gold corner bracket and a band of punched stars, which Sassy Sally is, and my No embossing card is complete.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and stop by the store as well as I know for fact that Sassy Cheryl, affectionately known as Sassy Boss Lady has created the cutest images of Callie and Sassy Sally with Floppie bunnies....yeah, you gotta check them out. I personally have already gotten them LOL.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--No DP--What you say!!!

Happy Tuesday!!! Tuesday mean time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and I get to be the hostess and I chose the theme, No DP.  What!!!!!  For those of us who are DP obsessed it is a challenge :)  I used the darling new image called Sassy Sally Sits in Wonder for my card:

Do you think  Sassy Sally is saying "What was she thinking"!!!!! Nay, she is too sweet for that :)  I colored her with copic markers and cut her out with a spellbinder oval die and mounted that on a spellbinder scalloped die which was attached to a paper circle doile.
My kraft card stock was stamped with my favorite background stamp which is a cracked paint stamped with disressed frayed corduroy ink.
I used two die cuts for the scalloped blue edge on the left side and my paper piercer (AKA frog stabber ) for the punched effect.  I layered a lace edge and brown and white checked ribbon on the scalloped edge and tied a bow and attached it.
I added 3 hand made paper roses and leaves with my cricut and assembled them after airbrushing them to match the cs.  Two swirls and a trio of clear gems and my NO DP card is complete.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT thought of my no DP challenge :) I know they will have some wonderful creations to show you.  While you are at it be sure to stop by the Sassy Cheryl's Store and see the new images she has, they are absolutely adorable. I am going shopping for sure :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Where have I been?!? and Baby Shower Name Frame

First of all I want to show you a gift a made for a fellow co-worker's baby shower tomorrow. I knew what I wanted to do just couldn't get it made until today, but better late than never.  I hope she likes it:

I really like the way that this turned out.  I had already colored the Mo's Digital Pencil, Spit Happens image a while back and planned to use it for a photo book cover, but like this idea better.
The inside dimensions of this walmart frame are 4 3/4 X 11 1/2 inches. I usually don't leave the glass in the frame as I add flowers and lace and more buttons that would just get mashed.   Since this was for a boy, the embellishments were kept to a minimum and the layers allowed me to add the glass, even though the Play ticket  and button on the bakers twine are popped up with mounting foam.

The background dp all coordinates and is three different pieces.  The letters of the name, 100 Boy and the truck were cut out with my Cricut.  The Play ticket is a Tim Holtz ticket that I thought was perfect for the corner and the theme.

I have been out of commission the past couple of weeks with High blood pressure and issues with my computer giving me migraines so have not been able to be on the computer except at work.  Went to the eye dr and the problem apparently is not with my prescription, so went to my medical dr and the day I went my blood pressure was way too high and I wasn't even aware of it.   More tests and Dr. appts next week and just having to stay off the computer.

I will do what I can but for the next week or until they figure out what is going on.  5 min on the computer starts my migraines, so I have to save my computer time for work, Don't give up on me, I will be back as soon as I can :)

Have a wonderful creative day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Be My Valentine!!!

Ann is the hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and the theme is:  Be My Valentine!!!  I finally got to use this sweet image called Sally's Letter:

Isn't Sally just the cutest little Sassy gal you ever saw?  She was so fun to color with copic markers and sponge with distress ink.  I wound some pink yarn around the bottom of the main image and then attached that to a layer of pink cs. I then mounted that to red and white polka dot cs from my stash. I love red and white polka dots.
I added a trio of red buttons, which I tied with the same pink yarn, to the lower left corner and in the upper right hand corner I added a red puffie heart stitched with pink  which says Love U , perfect for my Valentine Card.

Be sure to stop by the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for the challenge.  While you are there check out to see who all the winners are for the 100th Challenge from last week, could be you.

Every week Sassy Cheryl gives away a 5 dollar gift certificate to her fabulous store and there are so many cute images you will have a hard time picking just one.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Just Inklined Blog Hop

Welcome to the Just Inklined Blog Hop this morning featuring Fancy Fold cards. If you arrived here from Karen's Blog you are in the right spot. If you want to go back to the beginning and our hostess this month that would be Joyce.  I don't know how fancy the fold is, (ribbon straps should work), but I wanted to feature this fun image and it isn't just placed on the card front so that makes it fancy in my book.

The image is one of 4 you receive and oh the possibilities are endless :) the sheets are available here:

And for the inside of the card:

The ribbons hold the two layers together and you just flip it open to show the sentiment which was hand written.

The next stop along the Hop is the super talented Heidy, who I know will have something extraordinary to show you.  As always leave a comment on each of the DT members blogs for a chance to win the image they have used for their creation.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day.

MFT February Guest Designer Challenge

I got a wonderful package of stamps from Megan Locke for winning a Blog Candy give away she had last month. Thanks Megan :)  The package was amazing and in the package was this adorable little set called Fred Bear Out West...too cute, I fell in Love.  When I checked out what Challenges I might want to enter I saw a MFT Guest Designer Challenge so decided, why not give it a try?!?  Here is my entry:

The images were stamped with London Fog Momento ink so you don't get such a dark outline and when you color with copic markers the outline just kind of disappears and looks more three dimensional...That's my story and I'm sticking to it.  The cactus was stampted twice and the second was cut out and mounted on foam mounting tape for a pop up affect.
The fur affect was attained by pouncing the blender pen on the bear and then white gel pen added on top.

I love the sentiment and attached it with a red checked bow and a pair of cowboy boots which was a button from my stash.  I think this just hollers Love!!! A white doile a couple of white punch hearts and this Fred's Spurs are just janglin to tell his honey how much he loves her.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the rest of the darling Fred Bear stamps available at My Favorite Things

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Sketch or Anything Goes

It's Thursday and that means Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge WooHoo!!! Iulia is the super talented hostess this week and her challenge is to either use her Sketch or Anything Goes.  I opted to go with Anything goes:  Here is my Fairy Princess:

Sorry Iulia, but I didn't see the Sketch until I already had my card made and I have been struggling with a migrane for a week.  I colored this little sweetie pie with copic markers in greens and corals which are two of my favorite little ballerina colors LOL.  A little Atyou glitter pen and she is ready to dance up a storm.
The dp is from my stash and I thought perfect for my color combo.  The swirls were cut with my cricut and the little leaf also.  A coral button and coral bow and my Anything goes card is ready to send.

I think I know just the perfect person for my card.  A very special cyber friend, only 49 just had a Heart Attack and I think this might just cheer her up a little bit.  This would be me as her Guardian Angel watching over her, the very thought would be enough for her to always take her medicine huh, LOL.

Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has  created for your viewing pleasure and be sure to play along with the challenge as Mo is giving away a gift certificate for each 25 participants.  Isn't that awesome.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.
