A little Red hair, a beautiful blue dress and white trim fulfills the challenge requirements and makes a beautiful card...right?!?  Anyone who knows me knows that I HATE mornings and LOVE to stay up late coloring and  doing design team work at night, so I thought "Sweet" Patty's expression and the wood die sentiment is perfect :)

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge-Lace and Hand Made Flowers My Favorite !

Tuesday means a new, Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, and I am the hostess.  I chose Lace and Hand made Flowers, two of my favorite elements when making cards. Here is my creation:

Do you think you are on the wrong Challenge site?  No, this is an awesome sentiment from the, A Walk in the Light, stamp set from which I decided to use just the sentiment for my card this week.  The sentiment was cut out with a spellbinder die and airbrushed while still in the die and mounted on a different label I had cut with my cricut.  Hey, you gotta play with all the toys :)  I airbrushed the edge of a paper lace doile to mount the sentiment labels.

My flowers are cuttlebug dies and the middle one is a cuttlebug and MFT combined.  A ribbon and lace center border, two butterfly punches and two metallic corners finish out my challenge card.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards to see what beautiful flowers and lace and Sassy Images they have chosen.  Grab a Sassy image and  join the challenge for a chance to win a couple of images in the random challenge drawing held each week.

Be sure to keep your eyes open for a big surpise  Sassy Cheryl has to announce in June, I know a lot of you are gonna like it :)  I for one am very excited and can't wait!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day...don't forget to play along!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Clean and Simple

Thursday means a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge brought to you by the super talented Anja, who chose the theme Clean and Simple.  I chose the super sweet,  Bella's Birthday:

Usually I have issues with Clean and Simple cards, even though I don't usually add a lot of embellishments to my cards, I usually do layers and dp and flowers, etc.  So I had to kind of sit on my hands, and at the last minute, still there on a couple of splashes of color, sorry couldn't help myself, LOL.

Sweet Bella  tooting her Birthday horn is colored with copics and sponged with distress ink.  I did add some crystal effects to the shoes if you look real close you will see it.  A hand tied bow and hand made orange rose are the only embellishments, I know, can you believe it :).  I did add  some embossing on the corners of the layers using my MS  score board to add a little dimension.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations and then grab a Mo's Image and play along with the challenge, you might be one of those chosen for one of the 5.00 gift certificates given by Mo for every 25 entries in the challenge, pretty cool and generous huh!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day!!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Girl's Rule

Yippee, it's Tuesday, time for a new, Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, brought to you by our ubber talented, Sassy Pat :) who chose the theme, Girls Rule.  I chose the image, Quiet Inspiration for the wonderful image and sentiment:

Isn't Maddie just the cutest little paddler?  I had so much fun coloring her up  with copics.  I used my new Sizzix scalloped circle die I got on  sale last week at Michaels, and my new wooden flower buttons to make this Girl's Rule card beautiful.

Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of my Sassy Sistah's have created and then grab a Sassy image and play along. You might just be the winner of 2 Sassy images of your choice in the random drawing , but you have to use a Sassy Image to play.

Sassy Cheryl's is having a Mother's Day sale going on right now, even on the rubber stamps,  so even more reason to grab an image or two.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Time to Play with some Die Cuts and just for fun!!!

I had some time this week to play and found myself creating this card with some die cuts I made and bought.  I had been wanting to create a card using a bicycle die cut, but hadn't been able to find one exactly to fit what I wanted until I was looking on Pinterest the other night, imagine that LOL.  Here is what I created with the bicycle as my starting image:

Everything on the card was created with Die Cuts.  A scalloped circle from a newly purchased Sizzix die I found on sale at Michael's this week and a lace doile.  I mounted 3 strips of Tim Holtz tape to make a fun background for my bicycle.  The rolled flowers are a SVG file I have had in my Cricut files for awhile that I have saved and cut out and roll when I am watching TV :)   I purchased the Gothic Window SVG file and a couple of other files online and the Memories  was cut from a Cricut cartridge called Phrases.

Hind sight I would have looked harder for a different fence that was larger, but I used a MS punch.  But I still like the way the whole card turned out, and the most important thing was that I had fun creating it !!!.

I hope that you do what I did and take some time to just have fun with your crafts and love the finished project. This is going to go in my craft room if I ever get my curtains and pillows made, but that is another story and post.

I hope you have enjoyed my project and take some time to do something fun yourself.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Anything Goes!!!

I love the first Thursday of the Month because we get to do an Anything Goes theme for Mo's Digital Pencil  Challenge :)  I chose to use the adorable, Fixer:

The image was colored with copics of course and sponged with distressed ink.  I mounted the image on a pink polka dot dp onto which I stamped the sentiment and added a silver corner bracket.  The main base dp is a pink floral dp and I used a yellow orange cs for the base for all of the dp to coordinate with the tool box so I also created a medium size rolled rose.

Aren't the tools cute, they are a die cut set from MFT, once I got this little cutie I had to order the tool set, there is also a screw driver in the set.  I used metalic cs for it but I can also use metal of paper depending on the effect I want.  Great for manly cards.  That's my story and I am sticking to it :)

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and see what they Felt like creating this week with an awesome Mo's image and then drop by, grab an image and play along, you just don't know who is going to win the drawings for the Gift Certificates offered for every 25 entries given.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.
