Just Inklined Challenge card-Bridge Scene

You all know I love to color and I often love to create scenes, well Just Inklined took the work out of it for me and created some beautiful scenes ,one of which is called, Bridge Scene.  What do you think?:

I tried to color the scene as realistic as my imagination allowed.  The coloring was done with copic markers and guess what, no sponging, yep, it really didn't need it.

The green mat was stamped with the cracked paint stamp, which I love to use, to create a vintage or antiqued look.  I matted everything on black to showcase the image.

My final touch was to use brads that resemble old fashion upholstery nails and the chain and Listen disc are Tim Holtz.  I thought they were perfect for this image.  If you listen carefully you can almost hear the water flowing gently under the bridge.

I have been coloring all day and having a ball.  My new work schedule is much more conducive to my crafting...finally.

Thanks for stopping by,  always glad to see you!

Yankee Doodle Fantastic News!!!

Did I get your attention!!??!!  Just wanted to make sure you came by to see this darling little Yankee Doodle's Ride from Sassy Cheryl's which I used to create a little scene.  I love it when I have time to just play!!!  What do you think?

Isn't this a cute little scene, even if I do say so myself?  You have got to love the expression on the horse and do real men ride in the desert with an english saddle?  LOL  The mountain and trees is a stamp from the Happy Camper set illustrated by my very good friend Theresa Momber who designs for Gina K Designs.  I thought it was just perfect for my little scene.  Thanks GF!!!

I used a post it note to make my cloud mask and sponged the sky around.

I just wanted to show you my fun lttle project.  Hope you enjoyed it.

I have a little Mo's Digital Fairy for you tomorrow.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Christmas in July!!

Yippee!!!  It is Thursday and that means my last work day and more importantly Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Day!! :)   Elaine has chosen so many wonderful challenges for us this month and today is no exception--Christmas in July.  Here is my card using, I Even Love the Box

I think we can all relate to this image as toddlers always seem to like the boxes the expensive toys came in better than the toys themselves and can get hours of enjoyment playing in them....what does that tell you?

I colored this little cutie in Christmas colors using greens for the jammies and the traditional red Santa hat.  The fur was accented with white gel pen to give the dimensional feel of fur.

I used Spellbinder circle die for the main image and the scalloped circle die for the outer layer.  I realized as I was making this card that I had no solid red cs so I had to make a  quick dash to the LSS to get some.  Good thing it is only a couple of  blocks away (sometimes that is a bad thing too LOL).

The green polka dot was left from last year's Christmas pack I got at Target and the dp in the upper right half is from the Cosmo Cricket Mini Deck  6X6 paper pack from last year too.  I laid a piece of red and white check narrow ribbon diagonally across the seam and tied a knot bow.  Can you guess what I used for the candy canes in the lower left corner?

Did you guess a paper clip.  I had gotten some striped paper clips with a magnetic clip holder from one of the hotels that come to visit our Reservation Center and I clipped the open ends shorter and cut the curve off the bottom.  I think that are pretty cute, if I do say so myself.

My favorite new embellishment is the Giggle ticket.  I finally found out where I could get them.  Thank you Lydia!!! They are Tim Holtz Adage tickets and I ordered and received them last week.  Don't get me started on UPS that's another whole post URGHHHHHH!!!  But isn'st it perfect for the sentiment on this little cutie?

Be sure you stop by the other DT members and check out their projects.  If I had checked out their cards before I made  mine I might have ramped it up a bit, but I like it!!!  I sometimes feel like the cheapest house in the expensive neighborhood, there is so much talent in this group of DT members.  Oh, well, just like the owners of the cheap house I love the neighborhood LOL!!!

OMG have you been to Mo's Digital Pencil lately, she has gone crazy creating the cutest images, Christmas, Fairies, Berry girls and today  5 funny cats!!!  So many images...so little time...

Have a great day and  join in the challenge.  You get to play along with us and get one more Christmas Card under your belt...

Thanks for stopping by.

Strawberry Girl--Mo's Digital Pencil

Everyone is in full swing with their summer time images and Mo's Digital Pencil has come up with some adorable little Berry Children.  This little cutie is called Strawberry Girl:

Isn't this just the sweetest little girl in her summer dress with strawberry and her little strawberry purse.

I wanted a special strawberry dp to go with this little cutie.  I remembered I had a Digital Summer pack from Gina K Designs that had strawberries on it.  I found it in my computer file and opened it in Photo Shop Elements 7 to deepen the colors and add more red to the dp.  I like the way it turned out. The pink stripe is a piece I got on sale at Michael's last week.  I love it for girlie cards.

Three bttons and a little pink bow and my card is ready to display.  Did I forget to mention that I colored this image with copic markers and sponged with SU ink?  LOL  I think you already knew that but you never know if I have a new reader.  : p

I can't believe that I actually had time to create some cards this week and they were't commited to a challenge or release or something.  I love just because I felt like it cards!!!

Catch you all tomorrow.  I am off to bed.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Riley and Company Challenge---Summertime

Frances is the hostess this week for the Riley and Company Challenge and for the challenge she chose the theme--Summertime.  Perfect timing since last weeks Riley and Company release was Summertime Fun!!!

Here is my Picnic Riley:

It is too hot here in Omaha today to go on a  picnic,  Temps near 100 and heat index about 107.  Too hot for this gal  !!!
The dp is from a Recipe book kit I got because I loved the summer paper,  Isn't it cute.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT blogs to see their wonderful projects and if you missed the Riley and Company Release last week stop by the store and check out the 8 new Riley's and 2 darling sentiments.  We would love to have you join us in the challenge and if you post your card in the SCS gallery use the keywords Riley1410.

Have a great day.   Catch you later with a new project.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge---Stump Cheryl LOL!!!

Let's stump Sassy Cheryl.

The Sassy gals have been working behind the scenes to stump the boss. Sassy Cheryl claims that she can tell which design team member made a particular card by just looking at it. So, we are putting Sassy Cheryl to the test.

Want to play along?  It's easy... just enter our challenge for this week. Use a Sassy Cheryl image and the challenge criteria "Thinking of You". Link up your post at our challenge page using Mr. Linky. Then take a look at Sassy Cheryl's guess... is she right? Or is she wrong?  Just tell us what you think by leaving a comment on the challenge page..then you'll get an extra entry in our random draw this week if you've guessed right. To recap: participate in the challenge and get one entry... participate and guess correctly, get another entry.

The winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to Sassy Cheryl's shop!  How cool is that?

Here is my challenge card:

What do you mean you don't think this is my card?    Well, you are right.  Since we don't really want Cheryl to know which cards are really ours, we didn't put on a watermark and we are not showing our own card...or are we?!?  To be honest I am not sure myself which DT member created this card  but I am guessing it is either Heather or Kim, just not sure, it sure is cute though!!!

Here is a collage of all of the DT cards.  You can play along and see if you can decide which DT member created each card.  Can't wait to see which one you all think is mine.

I wonder how Sassy Boss Lady, Cheryl did on the Stump Cheryl challenge?  Don't you love when the DT is ready for ANY challenge LMBO....

Thanks for stopping by, play along it will be fun!!!

Have a great day.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Paper Piecing and Happy Birthday Mo!!!

It's Thursday and that means Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge. This week our hostess with the mostest is once again Elaine, and hasn't she had some wonderful Challenges this month?  This week is no exception.  Elaine chose for us to do paper piecing.  Not something I do a lot, because I am addicted to coloring, but I gave it a shot!!!:

I have to admit I absolutely LOVE this rabbit called Late.  To me, he is the well loved vintage rabbit, so I always seem to gravitate towards Vintage cards with him.  In case you wondered, the paper pieced pieces are the shirt sleeves and body.  Printed onto a turquoise paisley dp and cut out.  The dp later below is the same piece.

The turquoise paisley dp was masked with my Clock Works Tim Holtz masks and airbrushed with my copic Airbrush system.  The bottom kraft dp was also airbrushed with the same masks in browns.  The vintage flowers and bunnies dp is from my LSS and I believe it was BoBunny from Easter time.

The Thanks tag resembles a pocket watch in shape, pretend the cover is closed, okay, close your eyes and envision it is a pocket watch, got the picture!! LOL.  The ribbon is a special purchase I got at the same LSS and is handmade by a local lady and it is dyed and wrinklie and perfect for Vintage cards.
My final embellishment was my favorite Teal hand made paper flower in the upper right hand corner.

I feel like my MoJo is finally back,  I haven't felt like I have been creating cards worthy of my position lately, but now, I feel like I am back on the right track.  Thanks for your patience with me.

Also want to mention that today is Mo Manning's Birthday... A Huge MWAHHHHH!!! Happy Birthday to one of the most talented artists of real-life... you know that look.... images we all relate to!!!

Be sure you stop by the rest of the DT's blogs to check out their wonderful creations.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Riley and Company Summertime Fun Sneak Peek #4--Sailboat Riley

Tonight is the Riley and Company Summertime Fun Blog Hop.  Are you ready?  The Blog Hop starts at 9:00 p.m. Central time.  The Blog Hop will start at the Riley and Company Site and the DT members have some really special projects to show you.  Here is my Sailboat Riley:

I actually had a brain fart last week and thought the release was last Thursday so I created this card for Cindy's Cut it Out and Pop it Up Challenge on Tuesday...good thing I decided to check the Release dates before the Challenge day....Whew!!!  That would really have been an early Sneak Peek Huh?

The dp reminded me of ocean waves so I mounted Riley between the waves.  The Sentiment is included in the Release and has so many Moose possibilities!   I mounted the sentiment behind a Spellbinder Fancy Tag die cut .

A narrow red grosgrain ribbon and my ocean voyage scene is complete with Captain Riley Moose.Maybe I should have put a life jacket on him, the waves look pretty ominous! LOL

Any Sailing stamp is a favorite of mine as my husband and I have sailed much of our married lives and when a lot of people went camping in campers we would go to our sailboat and spend the week-end there and go sailing during the day.  Oh the memories.  We still have a 25 foot sailboat that has been dry docked for years as there isn't anyplace in Omaha to sail.  Someday we are going to build a boat house on our Ozarks water lot and enjoy it again.

I hope you enjoyed my final Summertime Fun Sneak Peek and can't wait to see you at the Blog Hop tonight. As always each DT member will  be giving away a new Release stamp of your choice to the winner chosen from those who leave comments on the DT members blog during the hop.  You have until 9:00 CT Friday night to leave your comment.  Be sure you check back on each blog to find out if you were a winner.  I always hate it when I have no way to contact the winner.  The winner on my blog will be announced in a special post at 9:30 Friday night.

Be sure to check back later for my Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge card.  Today is also Mo's Birthday.  A Big Happy Birthday to you Mo!!!

Thanks for stopping by, see you later.

Riley and Company Summertime Fun Sneak Peek #3 Bouncy Ball Riley

Are you enjoying the Riley and Company Sneak Peeks? Aren't the new stamps just the cutest fun loving little moose?!?   Here is my sneak peek for today...Bouncy Ball Riley.   I wish I was small enough to have a bouncy ball like that  LOL :

Doesn't this just make you smile :)  The dp I had was perfect with the spirals going up .  Colored with copic markers and the die cut for the main image is a QuikKutz label with my favorite coordinating outer contrasting border.
I punched a horizontal border using my MS handle punch and the flower was punched with my 5 pedal EK mega flower punch.  The smaller flower is also an EK punch.  The sentiment was created using the fancy scallop MS punch trimming the end with the punch design. The leaf sprigs are also a MS punch.
Be sure you stop by the rest of the DT blogs and see what wonderful creations they have in store for you.  They are all so cute and the girls have really outdone themselves with their creations!!!

Thanks for stopping by.  See you tomorrow with another sneak peek and the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.

Have a great day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge --Cut it out--Pop it up!!!

Our hostess for this weeks Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is Heather, and she chose Cut it out-Pop it up!! Okay, I am going to have to admit this was a Challenge for me.  Because most of the Sassy Cheryl's images I gravitate to have really tiny parts and skinny legs and arms so I spent two days trying to decide which image to choose...I finally chose Cardinal and Snowman
The cut out and popped up items are the Cardinal and the scarf.  Trust me, I cut them out  and I can guarantee you they are the cut out and popped up items!!!
The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with broken china distress ink.  You are shocked I can tell....LMBO!!!   The side dp was punched with a MS border punch and tied with a narrow silver trim ribbon.  The main cs is a piece of Eskimo Kisses by Basic Grey from last Christmas.  I tied a silver ribbon around the image like a package and tied a bow...yep, a real bow...I can do it, I am just lazy......you don't have to agree so loudly!!!
The snowflakes are punched from glossy photo paper and the side dp.  The photo paper snowflakes were over colored with a Sukara Stardust glitter pen.
I added a clear rhinestone in the center of each snow flake in the upper right hand corner.

Be sure you check out the rest of the DT's projects.  You should play along with us it is so much fun and with all the adorable Christmas images Sassy Cheryl's has out right now you could do a challenge, maybe win a prize, and get a head start on your Christmas Cards.  It's a win win situation...come on, you know you want to!!!

Sassy Cheryl's releases her new stamps on Tuesday's and the images being released are absolutely cute cute cute!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Riley and Company Summer Fun Sneak Peek #2-- Butterfly Riley

Are you ready for another adorable Riley and Company Summer Fun Sneak Peek?  Here is Butterfly Riley:

Riley is just chillin under the little shade tree and watching the little flutter by (butterfly) floating towards him.  The image was colored with copic markers and the sentiment was stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink.  The border was sponged with Broken China distress ink.
The bottom border was punched with the MS fancy Scalloped border punch and a narrow green and white check ribbon was tied with my never fail knot bow.  The dp is assorted polka dot and plaid dp I really like, are you sick of seeing it yet?  I will run out of it one day...LOL!!!
The flower was cut from a AIE cs border and it is all glittery, you just can't see it in the photograph.  The butterflies were punched from vellum with my MS butterfly punch and sponged with ink two blue and one pink to coordinate with the dp.

Be sure you stop by and check out the rest of the DT's sneak peeks, I can't wait to see what they have created.  They are a very talented group of ladies.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by tomorrow for another Riley and Company sneak peek...Aren't they just the cutest new moose stamps you have ever seen?!?

Check back later for my Sassy Cheryl's Challenge card for today as well.  Yep I did another snowman :)

Riley and Company Summer Fun Sneak Peek #1

Are you as excited as I am about the new release of Riley and Company Summer Fun stamps!!!   There are 8 stamps and 2 new sentiments so the Design Team is starting today and showing you projects on our blogs and on Thursday night we will have a Blog Hop and the new stamps will be available at the Riley and Company Store........Are you ready?????...  Here is My Window Box Riley:

I thought Riley might like to look out of his house window from under his striped awning to welcome you to the first Sneak Peek.  The Flower Box Riley is so fun and perfect for a House Warming card, welcome to your new home, welcome to the neighborhood or just Hello.

The awning is a very special antique stamp I found in an Antique store in Kansas last summer when I was visiting my new granddaughter Leigha.  I added a blue picket fence using my MS fence punch and flower buttons for the flowers.  The Welcome sign was hand written on vellum and placed under a Tim Holtz fragment tag.  I thought it looked like a plaque you might find at my house.

The house siding was hand drawn and shaded with copic markers, then sponged with distress ink.

My next card is a very simple card using one of the new sentiments, it speaks volumes to me being the coffee drinker I am...the rest of you might need the rest of the ingredients.....me, I just need CAFFEINE and lots of it LOL...!

I say this is a simple card because the coffee pot/cups is a dp sheet from the K & Company Brenda Walton adhesive paper pad.  I added a pink striped SEI ally's wonderland dp I got on sale at Michaels for the background and center strip.  I added some vintage lace to the borders of the center strip and a Spellbinder fancy tag was cut in half and attached to the sides of the Sentiment.  Isn't this the funniest sentiment!!!

I hope you have enjoyed the first two of my Riley and Company Summer Fun Sneak peeks.

Be sure you stop by the rest of the DT's blogs and see what they have created for your viewing pleasure.  Mark the blog hop on your calendar, we'd love to have you and you get a chance to win a new release stamp from each of the DT members blogs during the Blog Hop.

Have a great Monday, Thanks for stopping by.

Just Inklined Challenge Wrinklies!!! Too Cute

Okay, this week as I was going through the new Challenge posts for Mo's Digital Pencil I noticed Jak of the Mo's Dream DT had started a new company called Just Inklined and a challenge.  I am always looking for new challenges to do occassionally so thought I would take a look.  Jak offered this free image of Albert for a limited time.  I absolutely love the Wrinklies.  The lady is hysterical with her walker too....  Here is my challenge card:

I had so much fun coloring Albert, what a hoot with his souped up walker and horn!!  I couldn't resist.

Just Inklined is also using the Challenges to choose monthly guest designers.  With images this cute that would be so much fun.

No matter what this was so much fun.  The DP is new Tim Holtz Lost and Found paper stash I got yesterday at Michael's.  The sentiment stamp is from SU several years ago.

Be sure to go check out Jak's new site July Inklined and see what neat images she has to offer.

Thanks for stopping by.

Another Sassy Cheryl's Snowman Card....Trying to stay cool here in Omaha!!!

Oh, my gosh it was hot here today.  It was in the high 90's with heat index in the 100's.  It is supposed to be cooler tomorrow with high in the mid to high 80's...I may need a sweater LMBO!!!  To try to keep cool I like to color snowmen and Sassy Cheryl's has sooo many simply adorable snowmen I never run out of images to choose from:  I chose 4 squared snowmen for this card:

Isn't this a fun image with the 4 snowmen holding or reaching for the stars.  The upper left snowman with the yellow scarf and mittens was reconstructed after his arms were momentarily removed to have them extending outside of the border.  The mittens were reattached by drawing arms stretching across the borders.
I created the green polka dot flower to showcase part of my sentiment.  I thought it would be cute to mount my sentiment on my little picket fence, a MS fence punch.
The largest flower punch is an EK large 5 pedal punch and the smaller embossed punch is a Spellbinder punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I may have  new post tomorrow, no promises.  I have been working hard on my new Riley and Company Summer Fun Release Sneak Peeks which begin on Monday.  There are 10 new stamps being released.  There are 8 new Riley and Sophie Stamps and two awesome sentiment stamps. There are Sneak Peeks all week with a Blog Hop Thursday night at 9:00 pm Central time at which time the stamps are available for sale.
Tuesday is Sassy Cheryl's Challenge day and Thursday is Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Masculine Card

The ever talented Elaine is the hostess for this week's Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge. Elaine chose for us to make a Masculine card.  I always enjoy making guy cards and Mo has lots of awesome images to choose from.  I chose Harvard for my project:

My Grandson, Hayden, wears glasses and this could be him.  He loves to dress preppy and he is only 8. He is very smart and  cute.  I have been told I shouldn't put bows on boy cards so I tied a knot in the twill at the bottom, added three dew drops at the top, a You Totally Rock sentiment printed on vellum, and my masculine card is ready to give to my grandson for his birthday.

I tried to keep the colors softer on this one, I think I succeeded. Harvard is colored with copics and sponged with weathered wood distressed ink. I used my SU spiral punch for the notebook page,it is actually dp made to look like an old ledger page. I punched the photo corners with my SU photo corner punch.

I bought some vintage charms at Michael's a couple of week's ago and this pencil was one of them, thought it would be perfect for a school oriented card.

Hope you like this masculine card and be sure you check out the rest of the DT projects, they always blow me away!!!

I am lucky I have a laptop I toggle to my cell phone for my wireless internet connection because otherwise I could not post this as we had a bad storm blow through Omaha tonight and we are without power.  Last time we had this bad of a storm it took two days to get it back.  My not always so bright husband has the generator out at the farm, he may have to go get it.  It won't run the air conditioning but it will keep the refrigerator stuff from spoiling and I can make coffee...Do you hear me Marlene!!!????

Thanks for stopping by.  If you don't see comments from me tomorrow you will know we are still out of power.

Riley and Company Challenge--Cut it out Pop it up!!

Yep, it's time for the bi-weekly Riley and Company Challenge.  This week's hostess is the mega-talented Cindy Haffner who chose a Cut it Out-Pop it Up Challenge.  I chose Sock Monkey Riley because I got this awesome new dp I bought especially for him!!!
Sock Monkey Riley was colored with copic markers and then cut out,  yep, every nook and cranney!!! It was popped up on foam mounting tape.   The pink and white labels were cut out with my Quikkutz dies.  I love this die because it cuts a perfect border so I usually cut two contrasting colors ...I like the look.
The dp is from the Instant Page paper pack, by K & Company, I got a Michael's this week.

The sentiment is from the May Release of Word Stamps and they are so much fun with the Riley and Company stamps...Don't you agree?!?

The prima flowers were mounted with contrasting brads and my challenge card is complete.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects and be watching starting next Monday for the Sneak Peeks for the Summer Fun Riley and Company Release.  The DT Blog Hop of the new Release Stamps will be Thursday evening.  Be sure to stop by and see all of the wonderful new stamps you Riley and Sophie fans are sure to LOVE!!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Christmas in July!!!

I think Sassy Cheryl's is trying to cool off the heat of the summer with a lot of new Snowman images, which I love!!! Heather, is our awesomely talented hostess this week, and her Challenge is create a Christmas in July card.  Here is my Handing Out Candy canes Snowman:

You have just gotta love Sassy Cheryl's snowmen, they are sooooo fun, I love them all and they are wonderful to color, my favorite thing to do!!!

I just got the MS fence punch at Michael's. (I had a 50% off coupon and you just can't let those go to waste, can you?  )  LOL !!!  I have been wanting this punch for a while but always found something else I Needed worse.

I, of course, colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink.  The white fence was also sponged to bring it out a little bit more.

The dp is from the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper pack from last Christmas.  The ribbon is from Michaels as is the Rejoice gold metallic sentiment.

Did you get cooled off?  Well,, to stay cool, be sure you check out the rest of the DT creations,  I can't wait to see what they created too!!!

As always Sassy Cheryl's has new images available today and they are wonderful.  I can't wait to get my hands on them.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!!

To the Beach girls!!! I kind of cheated..just a little LOL

I really love the new beach images Mo's Digital Pencil has released this past week.  My last project was a beach scene with a palm tree and two little beach babies.  Tonight I have the teen version call To the Beach straight hair and curly hair, catchy names huh?  Here is the project I completed tonight:

Because this is a 12X12 page the colored image looks small so I also took a close up picture:

When I merged the two girls I reversed the straight haired girl on the right so they looked like real teen girls chatting away on the way to the beach about boys, , friends and movies.

The image was colored with copic markers and the sponging was done with SU cool Caribbean ink.

Now for the cheating part.  The layout is a 12X12 ready to put your photo on page by K & Company paper pack called Instant pages.    It was just so perfect I didn't do anything except add the colored image.  You could add ribon or buttons, lots of different embellishments but I thought it was perfect the way it was.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day.

Summer Fun--New Mo's Digital Pencil Beach images!!!

I have always enjoyed merging images and when Mo's Digital Pencil released these newest little beach beauties I had to have them, and couldn't even wait for the ink to dry to start creating....I am such a patient person..........NOT!!!!  What do you think?:

Don't you wish you were there?  Janie and Jeffy are from, the Girls in July, and Boys in July, new stamps which I merged with Pirate Isle palm tree from the Pirate Stuff set.  Once I got these new images I couldn't wait to start creating with them.  I have also created a card with the To the Beach girls....maybe my card for tomorrow.

I guess I could mention a couple of details about my card :)   It was merged in PhotoShop Elements 7 and I don't know if I do it the right way, I figured out what worked for me to merge the way I wanted and have no problems.
The images were colored with copic markers and  the clouds were sponged in with distress ink.  This is really not hard and there are several programs that allow you to merge the images quickly and easily, and some are free like Gimp3.

Hope you enjoyed this little summer getaway with me, and be sure to check out Mo's newest images, there is something for everyone (or a few somethings LOL   )

Have a great day.

Super Fun Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

This week the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge hostess is Elaine who has chosen the theme:  Beach or Summer.  What fun!  I chose a Summer Beach scene LOL   . l chose Pool Party Bella and Bronte and placed them on a beach:

I hope you can see the details of the ocean scene and the sky.  You can double click on the image to get a closer look.  The sand was created with copic markers and a copic multi-liner for the tiny black specks.  The ocean was created with copics as well, with the white caps created with a white gel pen.  The clouds were created by sponging distressed ink using a mask to form the clouds.  Check out Bella's nose, I gave her white nose coat sunscreen so she wouldn't sunburn her nose.  LOL, I couldn't resist!!!

The fun dp was from a paper pack in the dollar bin at Target last year.

An orange check bow and an orange polka dot paper flower with a button center complete my beach scene.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations, they are wonderful!!!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the new images Mo has created  they are cute and Lizzy in a Tizzy is too funny!!!

Have a great day!!

Miss Kansas?

Mo's Digital Pencil has a new series of images from the States, the first is Kansas.  I used to live in Kansas so this was a must have for me (besides she is adorable).  Here she is:

Isn't she just the sweetest little Dorothy, see Toto in the basket.?   I colored her in the movie colors but didn't make her hair as dark.  She was colored with copic markers and sponged with Faded Jeans distress ink.

I used a blue polka dot dp from my stash and added a narrow red checked ribbon tied with a bow knot.  I used a white crepe paper flower that I airbrushed with blue after it was finished.  The red leaves are MS punch leaves.  A trio of 3 red buttons and Dorothy can click those sparkly red shoes.

I can't wait to see what State Mo does next,  I can't even envision what she will come up with for Iowa or Nebraska, corn just doesn't seem to make a really cute image, guess it is a good thing I am not the illustrator.

I just wanted to share this little darling with you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge It's a Sketch!!!

It feels so good to be creating again.  I finally got my new contacts on Friday so I can see to color in the lines now LOL. Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week is a Sketch Challenge.   I love sketch challenges and this one was a lot of fun.  Here is what I created:

I'm not really ready to make Christmas cards yet, but I couldn't wait to use this hysterically funny image Sassy Boss Lady created last week called Getting Stuck.  I love it Cheryl.  My 4 year old grandson actually did this last winter because his older brother told him to.  Gotta love Big Brothers!!!

The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with SU pretty pink .  The pink panel was run through my cutttlebut snowflake folder and the dp is from the Cosmo Cricket Mini Deck paper pack from last Christmas.  I really thought the pink and green was christmassy enough for July!!!
The flowers are felt and cut with my cuttlebug flower die and adorned with a white snowflake button.

I think the sentiment says it all!!

Be sure you check out the rest of the DT creations, they are awesome as always.

Take a few minutes this week to join us for the challenge, it is fun and you could win a gift certificate from Sassy Cheryl's

Mo's Digital Pencil Birthday Celebration Blog Hop!!!

If you are a regular visitor to my blog welcome, but if you are looking for the Mo's Digital Pencil Birthday Celebration Blog Hop you may want to go back and start at Lisa's Blog so you don't miss a single stop along the way.  If you arrived here from Paola's Blog you are in the right spot.  Today we are having a special Blog Hop to celebrate the 85th Birthday of Ginger, Mo's mother.  From what we have been told Ginger is one of the biggest fans of the Design Teams images and of course her special daughter Mo Manning, the one and only owner of Mo's Digital Pencil.  Here is the card I created for Ginger, Happy Birthday Mummu!!!

This Chubby Fairy is and has always been one of my favorite Mo images.  The Mo's Digital Pencil Dream Team is the organizer of the Blog Hop and make sure you visit all of their DT blogs as well, I know it will be a wonderful Birthday Card Shower.

Thanks for stopping by my blog along the hop.  Next blog along the way is Peggy Marsh.  Thank you for joining us on this Birthday Celebration for Ginger.

I am also entering this card in the Crazy 4 Challenges , challenge this week which is to use at least 2 different ribbons.  If lace qualifies, I do too LOL!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Wow it is Thursday already!!!

Hi everyone,  It has been a long week and I don't really feel like I have accomplished much but I had to get a card done for Elaine's wonderful challenge this week to use fabric on your card for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.  Well, last week I saw the cutest bear Dawn B. had used for her challenge card.  I love bears and snowmen, so had to check out the bears.  Bought the Berry Bear set and had to use this little cutie for my card,  Thanks Dawn!!!:
Don't you agree these are the cutest bears?  I colored him with copic markers and then took my blender pen and tapped it all over the body.  Next I took a "nasty" cloth ( that is really what they call it in Copic Certification class) which was a square of a terry cloth wash cloth and brushed my brown copic marker onto the fabric and pressed it over the body giving the fur like texture.  You probably have to click on the image to enlarge it to see the texture.
The TopNote die was sponged with distress ik and mounted over a MS scalloped edge border piece I placed behind the main image.  The dp is Eskimoo Kisses from my Christmas stash last year but I thought the trees were appropriate.
My fabric is felt, My sister, Peg, was kind enough to bestow upon me her felt pieces left over from a craft project she had done.  I have a whole box and intend to use it with my die's but just don't usually remember it is there until I have used something else.  I wanted a more masculine flower? so used 3 different cuttlebug circle dies for my flower and sewed a button in the center.  I think it is really cute.  I may have to do that more often.
I really appreciate everyone's patience with my blogging.  I am slowly getting back to creating.  I went back to work on Sunday and am struggling a little to have enough energy to do everything I want to so I have had to cut back and go to bed earlier.
Enough of that,  Thanks for stopping by and be sure you check out the rest of the DT's cards, I haven't even gotten a sneak peek this week so they will be a surprise to me too LOL!!
Have a great day.
