Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Use a Gel Pen

The Challenge this week at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog is to use a gel pen on your creation.  This should be easy, except I used an Atyou gold glitter pen from Copic and it looks wonderful IRL but doesn't show up worth a darn in a photograph.  If you enlarge the photo you can see it.  Here is another Halloween card:

Isn't this a cute little witch wondering why the little elf troll is offering her a cute pumpkin...must be a catch huh?   The image is called: Surprised Witch.

The image was colored with copic markers and cut out with my newest long curved rectangle spellbinder die.  Look ma no sponging LOL!!!   I used the Out of the Box  for the witches hat for two reasons, I like the look and I was going to use my new dies.
The embellisihments are a large rickrack die cut, a large scalloped die cut and three flower die cuts.  I think I was punch happy on this one...oh well at least it isn't boring!!  The little spiral flower in the lower right corner fit the image.
I used my copic airbrush system to spary over a chipboard spider web and spider for a little background interest on the purple cs.  The lines were highlighted with my gold Atyou glitter pen as well as all of the gold on the Sassy Witch's dresss, hat and leggings.

I really like this image but am not crazy about the color, I guess I use purple because it is a halloween color, but it is not my favorite color to work with.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has for your viewing pleasure today and be sure to check out our two new DT members, Jeni and Lily...I peeked and their creations are awesome, so glad to have you on the team.

While you are at it, stop by the store and see all of the new images Sassy Cheryl has created for you this week and if you belong to the Paper Craft Planet group you better get over there and get your super cute freebie.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day and try to join in the challenge with us, we'd love to have you.

I come before you to stand behind you ........

That is one of the funniest lines I remember from High School.  The rest of the first sentence is:  to tell you something I know nothing about.   I thought of that saying when I looked at this image I created by merging two of Mo's Digital Pencil Wizard of Oz characters:

I thought I would merge these two awesome new characters from Mo's Digital Pencil together with Dorothy with ToTo in the basket but I have lost Dorothy.  The file is no where on my computer......@#@@@$$%  I hate when that happens.

I think these two guys turned out really cute merged together with the Brave Tin Man (who just got his heart) protecting his not so brave friend, the Cowardly Lion.  There is something I find fascinating about coloring fur,

The image was colored with copic markers and then I went to playing with the embellishments.  Wanted to stay with the tin theme so punched out some tin photo corners with my cuttlebug, still need to work on the correct sandwich for that, it worked but in a couple of places it had to be convinced it was scored.

The flowers in the upper right hand corner are Tim Holtz flowers with the edges curled back.  An antique silver button was added to the center to keep with the whole tin, beige theme I have going here.

I hope to get lots more crafting done tomorrow and Sunday, I have a busy week and company coming next week-end so have to work a little ahead so I don't get behind,...It is good in theory..we'll see LOL.

Have a Great Day and thanks for stopping by.

WooHoo!!! I am sooo Excited!!!

I just have to tell you all I am sooo excited to have been chosen as one of the Guest Design Team Members, for Just Inklined, for September!!!  Jak emailed me yesterday and said I had been chosen by the DT to be a part of the team for September...Wow, I need to get busy LOL!!!

To celebrate I decided to color the newest Just Inklined freebie I got today.  I actually merged the snowy church image behind the verse, which was also included in the freebies this week.  What do you think?

I kept the colors rather muted so as not to take away from the serene church scene that I merged behind the verse .  The trees, roof, and some snowy areas are covered with Diamond Dust but you all know how hard that is to photograph...so I just say it looks so pretty IRL (in real life).
The church scene was cut using a Spellbinder die and the background layer was embossed with my cuttlebug filagree folder.  A little sponging a gold ribbon, 3 diamond dust covered snowflakes and I have a beautiful Christmas card ready to send.

You can get the freebies too just be signing up for the weekly newsletter on the Just InkLined site.

Just Inklined will be having another Challenge to choose a Guest Designer for October so get on over and check it out,  there are images for every occassion imaginable and more coming all the time.

I just couldn't wait to tell you all about my exciting news !!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Mo's Digital Pencil--Halloween!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week is Halloween.  Our wonderful Team Leader, Peggy Marsh, is our hostess this week.  Have I mentioned lately that Halloween is my favorite Holiday :), yeah I know...Here is my card:

I didn't want to make the traditional colored Halloween card and I just love this darling little Halloween Witch.  I thought the browns, orange and black would be fun and I really like the way it turned out.

The image was colored with copic markers and the moon was created using a Fiskar's circle cuting template drawn in with a copic marker and blended to resemble moon glow.  The outside was sponged with distress inks in weathered wood and vintage photo distress inks.

The dp is from a Me and My Big Ideas paper pack called Harvest and a strip of MS spider webs created with a border punch.  I added little spiders highlighted with clear glitter pen. The spider webs are highlighted as well with the same glitter pen.

The spiral flowers in the lower right were created by cutting a 2 1/2 inch circle and cut the certer evenly in a spiral ending in the center and then twisting it from outside to the middle of the spiral on a tweezers.  It is fun to make them and a little smaller than some of the larger roses I have made out of square spirals.

Be sure you check out the rest of the DT members projects and now that the kids are back in school you need to play along with us and you may even win the free image from Mo's Digital Pencil store.

Thanks for stopping by.

Silver Bells---Just Inklined freebie

This beautiful Christmas Bell image is the newest freebie from Just Inklined.  What do you think?:

I really wanted the bells to look silver metalic without using sparkly ink to do it, I think I succeeded.  The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with Wild Wasabi SU ink.
The main image was mounted on Christmas Red cs, left a little longer than the image, to mount the gold metalic edged ribbon on.
The designer dp is from the Cosmic Cricket Eskimo Kisses paper pack from last season.    I thought it looked pretty good with the image.

I guess I forgot to mention you can also get the weekly freebies from Just Inklined by signing up for their newsletter on their website.  I am gonna tell you, they are just as detailed and wonderful as the images for sale in the store....always an added bonus.

You need to check out the newest images from Just Inklined, there are some Halloween characters that are must have's for this gal.  I love Halloween!!!

Just Inklined is now on Facebook so stop by and become a fan.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Polka Dots

I was so excited to see that our hostess this week chose the theme to use Polka Dots for your Sassy Cheryl's Challenge card...I love polka dots :)  Here is my Sassy Golfer:

Are you seeing spots before your eyes now LOL.  This sooo could be me golfing.  I don't get to golf as much as I would like to in fact I haven't been golfing at all this summer. I chose the image Sassy Girl Golfer, isn't she just too cute in the polka dot knickers and Scottish Tam o' Shanter ?

The image is colored with copic markers except the shirt because my sister wanted to know what OMS was so I showed her how to use it with colored pencils.  See I don't always use copic markers LOL!!!

I added polka dot dp and polka dot flowers and polka dot flower centers....Do you think I over did the polka dots....I like the way it looks!!!

Be sure to check out all the DT members cards, there are some awesome projects as always from my talented Sassy Sisters.

I am sure Sassy Cheryl, affectionately know to me as Sassy Boss Lady, will have some wonderful new images for you to NEED today as well, so be sure to check out the store.

We know you have all been busy with summer and getting kids ready for school  but we would love to have you play along with us in our challenge and maybe your number will be drawn for the gift certificate.  You can't win if you don't enter!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Riley and Company Challenge--Make a Scene

No, not that kind of scene!!! LOL.  I am the hostess this week for the Riley and Company Challenge.  I love to create little scenes with this darling little Moose, so that was the theme I chose.  With school having just started here in Omaha, and the rest of you probably getting ready, here is Schoolgirl Sophie:

Sophie is headed into Moose School for her first day of school and isn't she just the cutest with her little pink outfit and antler ribbons.

The brick wall is from Riley and Company also, just used my Copic multi liner pen to finish the ends. The same pen was used to draw in the landscape, sidewalk and step.  There is a reason I only color LOL!!  The image was colored with copic markers.  Just a tip on the brick wall,  the wide tip of the copic markers is the perfect size to make a swipe on each brick in an alternating pattern to give the effect of a brick wall.  I used 5 different copics E40, E50, E53 and E31 and E33 to color the brick wall.  Really makes fast work of a brick wall.

In keeping with the School Theme I added letters and numbers to the right side of the image, which had been cut out with my Top Note Sizzix Die cut from SU.  The red rickrack border on the left side ties in the red letters some.  A paper prima flower with red button center and Sophie is off for her first day of school!!!

We would love to have you play along with the challenge and if you download your project to a gallery use the keyword Riley1610  so we can all see your wonderful creation.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects for the challenge.

Just InkLined Tiger Lilies

I love the flowers created by  Jak and her team for Just Inklined, they are beautiful and I love the Tiger Lilies almost as much as the Roses I did last week. Here is the beautiful Tiger Lilies I colored:

The image was colored with copic markers and I also used some of the free dp that Jak offers on her website.  I changed the hue a little more orange to keep with my tiger lily color scheme.
I wanted to try the spiral flowers everyone has been using and because I had made the roses from a spiral square this was  made from a spiral circle.  Really easy and really fun.  I thought I would just keep the rest of the card rather simple and used the punched corners with a dew drop in each one corner.

The card was finished with an orange checked ribbon over a fancy scalloped edge border in the center of hte image.

Love the image and love the free dp that Jak Heath offered and the paper comes in different colors.  I finished a Bell Image that was the free image from JustInklilned

Well, I need to get this wrapped up.  My sister has been visiting this week-end so I haven't gotten as much crafting done as I would like as I have been trying to help her with a scrapbook for her summer reading program.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll catch you tomorrow.  Hope you are having a wonderful week-end.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Little Girls!!!

First important news...Jackie was chosen as the September Guest Designer by the DT.  There were so many awesome entries it was a really tough decision.   Congratulations Jackie!!!
Thursday's are good days for me, it is my last day of work and Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge day.  This week the challenge is to use one of Mo's Little Girls...easy you think...making a decision on WHICH little girl is the tough part.  I decided to use the new Kitty Kai which is one of Mo's new images for Halloween.  Here she is:

Isn't she just the cutest...look at that smile!!!  I wanted to keep the colors happy and fun so went with this fun dp from the K & Company Instant Pages. The paper pack is intended to be used for scrapbook layouts but I loved the colors and cut it into pieces that work for my cards.....sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!!!

The MS dripping goo border is a wonderful Halloween border and the possibilities are endless for color and uses, baby cards come to mind LOL....   The large scallop die under the goo border is a die-namics die from My Favorite Things...I love it.  Kitty Kai was cut out with a Spellbinder circle die after it was colored and the orange is a scalloped circle spellbinder die.
I wanted to keep the colors bright and had this perfect pink and orange double sided ribbon.  I think it ties in the pink and orange wonderfully.  The pink grosgrain is some I dyed with SU ink refills.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by the rest of the DT blogs and leave them some love.  Be sure to stop by the Mo's Digital Pencil store too and see all of the new images Mo has been creating lately including 3 Wizard of Oz images which are wonderful, can't wait to play with them.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

I was too late for the Challenge --Bummer

I had a little time last week to play so I decided to play the Copic Creations Challenge, but alas I did not get my projects done in time to submit them for that challenge.  I downloaded two free images from the sponsor site so i thought the only right thing was to give a small plug here in appreciation of the generosity of Elizabeth O Dulema.

Here are the two book marks I created for the challenge which was Reading!!:

The Tim Holtz tag doesn't show up but it says Journey which was Reading for me.  I have always loved to read and instilled this love in all of my girls, My son reads too but not like the girls and only very specific authors.
My second image is my favorite.  It is a darling little fairy reading a book sitting on a stack of books.  Here she is:

Don't you agree this is an adorable image.  You can get this image at Elizabeth's free download site here

Hope you all had a great day.  I have got to get some coloring done, not because I am behind but just because I NEED to color!!!:

Well, I am off to color, hope you liked my little book marks which may not really be as functional as they are cute but oh well....

Thanks for stopping by...

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Stitch it up!!!

Peggy is our hostess this week on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and her challenge is for us to sew on our cards...This should be easy for me because I keep my sewing machine right below my computer table, plugged in and ready to go...but do I do it often?  Anyway, here is my Funky Scarecrows, Hallween themed card:

Have I mentioned that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays?!?  I love to see the little kids dressed up and soo darn cute you wish you still had little ones to costume?  Ahhh the memories.  Don't get me started on the older (high school) kids who come to my door with their pillowcases and have the audacity to ask for something for their brother who couldn't come out with them....ummmm NO!!!
Back in the dark ages, when I was a kid, we would have been too embarrased to dress up and go door to door trick or treating.   We did have Church Halloween parties and that was okay...but really if you are old enough to drive, don't come to my door for candy, drive to the store and buy your own, mine is for the cute "little" kids....sorry for the rant...

I love Sassy Cheryl's Halloween images, and her Snowmen, and her bears and her girls, and her boys LOL....Yep I love them all but I am in the mood for Halloween cards right now.  Loved this image when I downloaded it a couple of months ago and was just waiting for the right challenge to use it.
For some reason my sewing machine didn't like sewing on the thinner dp on the bottom layer and I tried to improve the stitching but even after ripping it out once and restitching it, it turned out the same. Didn't change a thing for the image layers except that there were 3 layers instead of 2 and it stitched correctly....what can I say...I guess a Ghost or Goblin was making the stitches...BWAHHHHHHH!!!
Don't you love the MS dripping goo border punch?  I also got a new 28mm button brad punch for the I-Top and cut out the BOO and attached it to the center of a Tim Holtz die cut flower that I had sponged the petal edges green to blend with the dp.

Be sure to stop by the rest of the DT blogs to see what they have created.  Sassy Cheryl is back from vacation and has some new images in the store and they are cute, cute, cute!!!

Well, since I have been home sick all day with a debilitating headache I didn't get anything done today, hopefully it will be gone by the time I get up in the morning.  I am going to try to assemble the 4 cards I have laying on my desk so I have something to show you the rest of the week, LOL.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Can you guess what I got in the mail today!?! MFT stuff!!!

I have had to watch my pennies lately since I know I have a big hospital bill to pay but when I saw the Rick Rack Die namics die at My Favorite Things, I had to have it.  I deserve it....and I wanted it. Because I wanted the Rick Rack die I also just had to have the 3 flowers and leaves  and large scallop die as well.  The Pure Innocent Being Cute is what I do, just happened to jump in the cart as well LOL!!!  Here is what I created with my new stuffs:

I am entering this card in the WSC Challenge which is a Sketch challenge and although it is a little bit different (the flowers should have been on the other corner) I hope it is close enough :)
I just think the Pure Innocent girls are just the cutest and so fun to color with my copics.  Of course I have to sponge everything including the scalloped die cut and the main image.

It has been a busy week-end but I had to take time to play with my new stuff.

I must say I absolutely love these die-namic dies  so I just had to use them all on one card!!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great rest of the week-end.

A Beautiful Rose--Just InkLined

I know you have been seeing so many cute people, snowmen, bears and just cute stuff for quite awhile but did you know one of my favorite things to color are flowers?!?  Just InkLined has some really beautiful flowers and I purchased two last week.  Here is my Rose card,  I really like the way it turned out:

Don't you think this is a gorgeous Rose?  It was so much fun to color with my copic markers and I overstamped it with my cracked paint stamp and sponged with Bravo Burgundy SU ink.

The dp is Tim Holtz Lost and Found paper pack which I loved with the rose because of the different lines and textures giving that wonderful Vintage illusion.

Sorry, for the short post, it was a typical day off, everyone thought of things that I needed to do to help them and there wasn't as much me time as selfish me wanted, but I still have tomorrow and most of Sunday....we'll see what else the family can think of for me to do LOL!!!

Be sure you check out Just Inklined newest images and try them out.    Catch you all tomorrow :)

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Inspiration!!!

Happy Thursday,  It's Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge day, yep...This week's hostess is our mega talented, Peggy Marsh, who chose an Inspiration Challenge for us.  Here is the Challenge iinspiration:

I chose the thread in the upper left corner for my challenge card here:
I loved coloring this adorable Halloween at Bat Cat.  The irridencent look of the bat mask doesn't show up very well in the photo but it is a beautiful shade of bright yellow green.  I added the orange checked ribbon to tie in the pumpkins color, although the owls in the dp are pink and orange and green,  I thought the ribbon would help.

I kept the other embellishments to a minimum, as the dp is pretty busy , only adding a flower in the upper right coenr.  I used three different 5 pedal flowers and used an orange brad for the flower center.

Thanks for the great challenge Peggy, wonderful as always.  Be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects and see which part of the inspiration they chose.  I hope that is what we were supposed to do :)  If I don't ask I can plead ignorance  LOL.

I think the Guest Designer will be announced soon, check the Challenge site,  The DT has voted, it was really tough as there were soooo many incredible entries.

Have a great day.  It is supposed to cool off a little bit next week so I am staying in until it does.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great day

Best Seat in the House!!!

Just Inklined, a new stamp company  owned by the so very talented Jak Heath, offers a free digital image every week to everyone who subscribes to their weekly newsletter.  Here is one of the new images that I just happened to have the perfect sentiment stamp for, and I just couldn't resist the image :)  :

Isn't that dog just a riot, but how many of us can relate to the fact the dog is always sitting in our favorite chair.? Of course, my dog is a white Japanese Chin who weighs 10 points, but still. .... The image was colored with copic markers and like I said, I had a sheet of dog sentiment stamps I bought at Michael's a couple of years ago. This sentiment stamp was perfect for this card.  The paw prints were also in the set.

When I went to Hobby Lobby today to get some tape runners I just happened to look through their clearance row and they were getting rid of some of their Spellbinder dies...I bought the Scalloped Edge frame for 14.95 which has two flowers and two frames.  The frame and sentiment, shown above, are the smaller frame.  I left the outter frame piece (it becomes two different cuts) in the die and airbrushed with blue to color the raised dots, easy peasy way to color just the dots.  Stole that tip from looking at Sandy Hulsart's blog, Thanks Sandy HUGS!!!

I just got a newsletter this morning from Just Inklined with this week's free digital download image which is an adorable skiing snowman.  You might want to check out the site, there are some awesomely talented ladies there and a wide variety of images to choose from..

*****************************

Sassy Cheryl's is having a Beat the Heat Summer Sale starting today and you can buy 2 images and get the third image free.  If you purchase more than 3 images you must place the order for each set of 3 separately as the shopping cart is set up that way ?!? When you buy the images be sure to pick something that would fit the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week (hosted by me) for a project that is Black, White and has pink embellishments.

I don't know where you live, but the heat here in Omaha has been dangerous.  Temperatures in the mid to high 90's and heat index over 100 for 3 days and a couple more to go.  Next week's mid 80's will seem cold. HA HA

I am so far behind since I took 3 days off from crafting, with the heat and work I am wayyyyyyyyyyy behind.

Catch you all later, gotta get my Mo's Challenge card made for tomorrow.

Have a great day!!

It's Tuesday--Sassy Cheryl's Challenge -Yep, I'm the Hostess Again!!!

Like I said I am the hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.  I know not too many got to play along last week but this is such a busy time of year with vacations and school starting soon or maybe it was the Challenge :(  I thought it was a good idea last week and this week's Challenge is:  Black, White with pink embellishments.  Here is my card:

I didn't exactly make the dress, hat and  bow black but shades of grey.  The image is called Freebie 600 and you can get this darling image by Joining Sassy Cheryl's group on Paper Craft Planet.  All of Sassy Cheryl's images are so cute and awesome and the Freebie images are no exception.  You know how some companies have kind of questionable freebies ?!?  Sassy Cheryl's freebies are as meticulously drawn as the images available in the store.
I like bold color combinations like Black, white and red :  Black and White,  and so I thought it would be fun to change it up just a bit.  What do you think of the Black, White and hot pink?  I like it.  The ribbon was white grosgrain ribbon dyed with SU reinkers.  The color is Passion Pink.  The image was sponged with pink and black soot distresss ink.
My fellow DT member on another team, Sandy Hulsart, FORCED me to buy some new dies and one of them is the lower slotted flower .( Sandy didn't really force me :) , but I loved the dies on some projects she has on her blog and went to the Sweet Stamps site and picked out 3 dies).   I added two prima flowers on top.  They are really nice Dies but I did have to add some ejection foam that I had on hand so I could get the flowers out of the die.  Always feels good when I have something on hand to make my life easier. Even better than that is I remembered exactly where it was when I wanted it LOL!!!   I had bought the ejection foam a couple of years ago for some QuickKutz dies, and have only used a couple of  pieces of it.

Be sure you stop by the rest of the DT's blogs to see what they created for the challenge today.  I know it will be worth the visit.  Try to find a few minutes to play along there is always a chance to win a 5.00 gift certificate from  Sassy Cheryl's Store and there are over 700 images to choose from, gotta have something you can't live without.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.  I am almost recovered from my trip and should get some more projects posted this week.

Cowboy UP!!! You gotta see this image!!!

You all know I love Mo's Digital Pencil Images and I want them all, but once in a while I see an image that I HAVE to have NOW!!!  This was one of them, Tex

I could hardly stand it until I got home last night so I could print this little cutie off.  I colored him in "real" cowboy hat colors and the holsters for his double shot of bottles got a little trim of red.  The binkies in the holster are colored in boy colors too, no sissy binkies for this Dude.

For this special card I used some of my hoarded Outlaw dp from SU.   I haven't seen a SU catalog for quite a while so don't know if the dp is still available or not, but I broke down and used two pieces of it for this card.

The image was colored with copics and sponged with distress ink.  The Sentiments are from my awesomely talented friend, Theresa Momber's  stamp set, called Out West available at GinaK Designs.  Love ya, GF
When I used the Cowboy Up stamp I intended the sentiment to read more like the Cowboy is Up  Let the Rodeo begin.....On Mo's Facebook page she thought it should have had an inside sentiment of "Ya Big Baby"...that's funny too!!!  Maybe next time LOL.

I finished off the image with a lasso, which I created with twine cut to length and tied, not like a real lasso but it works for the card...

Well, that's all I have for you tonight.  I have been busy coloring and have several images that I need to create the cards but I am going out of town for the week-end for my granddaughter Leigha's First Birthday!!!  It will be fun, busy but fun.  I will be back in time, on Sunday night, to go to work but probably won't post anything until Late Sunday night or maybe even Monday, it depends on how tired I am when I get back.

Thanks for stopping by...Always love have visitors, especially ones I don't have to clean for, LOL!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Special prizes!!! GD Search

Wow, lots included in the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week. First the Challenge is to create using something with wings.  I chose one of the new 5 little Fairies.  They are just so cute:

Aren't these little Fairies just adorable.  I have been having a ball with them.  I decided to keep the colors pastel, which is not my usual but I do like it, just always seem to gravitate to the deeper tones.
I actually used quite a few die cut elements now that I look at this card LOL.  The main image are spellbinder circle and scalloped circle dies.  The SU Top Note die, which will always be one of my favorites, and the QuikKutz flourishes, Sizzix and Spellbinder flowers.  That 's a lot of die cuts...guess I got a little carried away, but I like it.

The dp is from Michaels and is nursery dp, but I liked the colors and design of it so it works for anything I want it to right?

Other than the rhinestone flower center and the Sukara Stardust Glitter pen on the wings, wand and crown, it is just a cute Fairy greeting card perfect for any occasion.

Now to the rest of the important details of the Challenge.  The DT will be choosing their favorite card from the challenge and the majority will determine the Guest Designer for next month.  So play along, show us what you got, There are so many winged images, there has got to be one you can really strut your stuff.  I can't wait to see the projects!!!

Mo is also giving a 20.00 dollar Gift Certificate, to the randomly drawn winner, from all entrants who use a  Mo's Image with wings.  Mo has been creating like crazy the past couple of weeks and the images are sooooo cute,  Did you see Tex.???? What a hoot, I printed him off tonight and plan to color him up as soon as he is dry enough.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created.  It was wonderful to see so many people join us this week in the challenge and can't wait to see all the entries this week.

Have a great day.

Here Kitty Kitty!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil created a litter of darling cat images last week called FatCat, and I just had to have them....I say that about all of them, but it is true!!!!  I have always loved cats and until a year ago I had a cat.  Now I am trying to be happy with just a small dog and so far I am okay with that.  Here are two cute cat cards I created:

I call this one Gone Fishing!!! LOL  I think I got a pretty realistic look to the fishbowl, that is always the hardest part,  at any rate I think it worked.
I had the cute fish bones dp which I got a couple of years ago and don't remember the mfg. sorry, I got it at my LSS.  The blue is Blue Bayou from SU and the brown worn edge dp is from Michaels  I did sponge the white over with blue to match the rest of the layout.
The  kitty was colored with copics and sponged with..........distressed ink.  I tried to keep it fairly simple with just the flower in the upper right corner.

My second card is Princess Cat in Purple, such a regal color:

I think purple is an okay color, don't wear it and find it my last choice of colors to play with, but thought it was perfect for this Miss Priss kitty.  I love this dp and maybe that is why I colored the kitty in these colors.  I used my Spellbinder oval scalloped die for the kitty image.
The horizontal panels were created with a MS punch for the purple and the white was created using my large QuickKutz multi rectangle large die set.  It has a fine scallop edge which looks very elegant.  The two scrolled dies are also QuickKutz and my only other embellishments are the half pearls in the corners.

You should check out the whole set, it is adorable.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day.

Guess who the Challenge hostess is this week for Sassy Cheryl;'s ...MOI!!!!

Well, did everyone guess whether Sassy Cheryl got all of the DT cards with the right designer?  I know but I am not going to tell....Yet!!!  This week I am the hostess for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and I have chosen the theme Altered Notebook.  I love to make them, hope you do too!!!  Here is my project:

I don't have a Bind it all or any of the other binding machines so I buy my little notebooks at Michael's in their dollar bin.  I decided to go with a Christmas theme for two reasons. Sassy Cheryl's has soo  many cute snowmen I can't get enough of them  and I need a Christmas Wish List book for this year.  I chose Which List snowman..What do you think, naughty or nice?

With 13 grandkids and their parents I have to write down their wants and needs so I don't forget, not only what they want but what I have already bought...My kids are wonderful to give me ideas all year long for things their kids would like and if I find it on sale wonderful.

Back to my project.  The notebook is a tall thin Journaling notebook and the spirals match up with the SU spiral punch so that I can decorate all the way to the edges, no fuss no  muss...done!!!  I used some of my favorite Holiday dp from Cosmo Cricket, from last year, called Eskimo Kisses.  I colored the Snowman to match the village scene dp.  I added the green polka dot  strip along the binding edge punched the spiral punched edge on one side and the MS fancy scalloped punch border on the other.  I angled my Snowman which of course was colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink...a shock I know.

I finished the little notebook with a stamped Christmas 2010 sentiment at the top and tied coordinating ribbons on the binding.  It looks so cute sitting on my shelf :)

Did you guess that this card was mine for the Stump Cheryl Challenge?

Yep,  Frankie and I stumped Sassy Boss Lady, but I didn't really feel like I changed that much, just didn't do any sponging....

I can't wait to see what you all come up with for the challenge.  Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you create.

Have a great day.

I had play time over the week-end ---Yeah Me LOL!

I have a new work schedule and that means that I am back to having the time I want to create and still go to work.  I work from 5 pm to midnight, which means I get to craft all day and then go to work and earn money for my car and crafts...win win for me!!!  I created a couple of cards over the week-end and would love to show them to you:

First is one of Just Inklined's super cute Animal images.  It is called: Dick Van Duck Surfer.  I just called him Dude!:

Isn't he just the cutest surfer dude?  I finally got my tiny bubbles embossing folder, Thank you Elaine (fellow DT member for Mo's Digital Pencil) I also got seeing spots...Elaine steered me to the online store where I could get the folder since I couldn't get it locally. Thanks for enabling me Elaine LOL!!!

I also created  a card using one of Mo's Digital Pencil  new 5 Little Fairies:  Here is one of the fairies in blue:

These little fairies are so quick to color and a few sparklies and they are done.  I am having a lot of fun coloring them but you know how I am about creating the cards.  I work a lot harder to make the card than i do coloring the image.  I think this one turned out pretty cute though.  The little fairies are so perfect for a little girls Birthday Wish card,  a Magic want wish, anything thing with fairies and sparkles will delight almost any little girl.

As usual the images were colored with copic markers and for the Fairy I used a Sukara Stardust glitter pen for the sparklies...

I am going to save the rest for another day, don't know for sure what this week will bring.  I may need a card to post.

I am the hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and it is going to be fun ( at least I think so)  Did you all try to figure out if Sassy Cheryl guess the DT members cards correctly?  Yeah, I sure couldn't figure it out.  Maybe I would have stood a chance if we hadn't worked so hard at fooling Sassy Boss Lady I might have stood a better chance of guessing.

I'm going to close for tonight.  Thanks for stopping by.

Where is their Mother?!? LMBO

I got to play with Mo's Digital Pencil newest images tonight.  A huge set called Bethy's Wagon.  What a riot!! So many possibilities for merging.  Here is my first attempt with the set...

It actually took me about an hour to merge the layers in PhotoShop Elements 7 but it is so worth the outcome.  I used Bethy and her wagon first, then I added another Bethy and her wagon and erased everything but the wagon and put the brother in it.  I added Bethy's sister in the first wagon and left a space between the two wagons thinking I would add a tongue between them but then I thought another little sign between would be fun.  I thought about having the sign say something like 2 for 1 special but then I decided "Have had Shotz" would maybe more appropriate for this age group LMBO....I can just see my girls having done this.  Good thing we lived in the country!!!!

I can image that time permitting I will play with more of the elements of this fun set tomorrow.  I have designated tomorrow as a play day for myself before I go to work.

Hope you like this fun project.  Don't be intimidated by merging images, it is not as hard as it seems you just have to be patient and remember to make each file a separate layer so you can erase the overlapping parts.

Thanks for stopping by and Thanks Mo for creating another fantastic set of images that we all can relate to...did I just admit that?!?  That being said my kids turned out normal in spite of their mother LMBO.....
