Wanna See?!?

Wanna see what you can get done if you don't do anything else for two days :). Hey, my kids are grown, my dogs don't care and my husband can pick up after himself!!!

Besides the projects that I have already shown you today I finished 4 more, here you go:

Elf Hanna from the Elf Hanna Mini stamp set, that was released in September at Hanna Stamps, is taking a rest while decorating the tree.

Colored with copic markers and sponged with SU kiwi kiss classic ink. Tied with a gold cord and a Noel button in the upper left corner complete this Happy Christmas card. There is a lot of sparkle that doesn't show up in the picture on the tips of the collar, the christmas balls, Hanna elf's slippers, belt buckle, and the bells on the end of the elf cap.

Not sure what this Riley's name is, but isn't she just too cute in her Halloween costume?

Colored with copic markers and designed around spellbinder nestibilities for the ovals and sentiment tags really a pretty simple card.
Next I have two Mo's Digital Pencil cards. A Karate boy and a Cute Witch:

I colored this little witch in purple and grey. Can you see the cat hanging on for dear life.

Colored with copics and sponged with Tim Holtz concorde grape distress ink.

Last but not least Karate boy:

Four of my grandkids are in Karate so to get these was a no brainer. The boys, Austin, Cole and Hayden are 8,4, and 7 respectively. Austin and Hayden are both blue belts and Cole is a yellow belt. Cheyenne is 9 and is a purple belt and I will do the little Karate girl for her.

I thought the dp that I found in my stash was perfect for the karate kids.

Well, I am coloring yet and my work week starts tomorrow, ugh, so I won't have as many projects, at least not multiple ones per day.

Inky Impressions First Ever DT Call

Inky Impressions is a brand new stamp company that is having their first ever DT call. I absolutely love DT and Guest DT assignments (for lack of a better word) and I love to color anything with copic markers. Inky Impressions stamps are darling children images that lend themselves to lots of coloring. Here are two of my favorite projects that I am submitting for consideration:

I won a Christmas Card Making Contest!

Isn't this just the cutest little guy. I made a two coaster mini photo album today, isn't it cute.

I think that I should buy a lottery ticket. Some wonderful things have happened in the past few weeks and everyday it seems like something else good happens to me.

I had entered a Christmas Card contest about 6 weeks ago and submitted my Believe Santa card which fit into their Vintage Christmas card category. We were supposed to post a link to the contest to our blog but we couldn't ask people to vote for our card. I completely forgot about the contest until today. I checked Susan Daly's blog today and low and behold my Believe Santa card was shown and listed as the winner in the Vintage Christmas Card category.

I get to choose one Stampin Up stamp set with a value of up to 25.00. Perfect for me. While I was a SU demo until November there was one set that I really wanted but never bought. Inspired by Nature was on my wish list but my wish list was longer than my money so I never bought it. That is the set I chose. Can't wait to get it.

As you all know if you read my blog I am a guest Design Team member for Artistic Outpost Stamps and my appointment is for the December 15 release and will extend throughout 2009 as needed. They are releasing 3 new stamp sets and I had the privilege of working with one very special set. The sneak peaks start on December 10 and I will be showing a sneak peak every day until the release on December 15.

I have more Design Team news to share with you soon but not quite yet. I will just say that I applied for another guest DT spot which was supposed to be a one month spot the end of December. Today I got an email asking for me to do a specific challenge and they would let me know within 48 hours. In about 2 hours, after submitting my project, I got an email offering me a different DT spot starting in February. If it has to do with stamping and I get to color I am okay with that :)

Well, I am going to quit boring you now and go clean off my stamping table before I go to bed.

End of a Serene Day Card

I am going to be busy for the next few weeks creating cards and items for the December release at Artistic Outpost and I don't have a problem with that at all. I am so excited to be a part of this creative team. The stamp plates that I got yesterday are so easy to work with and the images are large enough to create a wonderful focal point. I really like this card I made last night with the Serenity set:

Not too much to ttell about this card it went together pretty quickly for me. I colored the Serenity farm house scene with copic markers. The stamp images are pretty densely etched but it is no problem adding the color with the copic markers. I wanted a sunrise or sunset because, well, just because I wanted to, no other explanation. I used the gradiant copic technic to pull the colors and blend them away from the sun.

I had bought a pack of paper called Ocean at Michaels because I am planning to use it for my release cards but decided to sneak this piece out. It is double sided so no problems matching the colors. Maybe I shouldn't tell you my secrets :) I mounted the main image on a piece of brocade blue and used the same color for the card base. I wanted this to possibly be a masculine card so I didn't want to add any bows. I decided to use three buttons and tie brown checked ribbon through the button holes, now that was fun because I didn't use a needle. I attached the buttons with glue dots.

I really like the way that it turned out.

Did I mention that I won a stamp set today on the GinaK Design forum on Splitcoast Stampers. After the release party they have challenges created by some of the design team members. I know I mentioned this a couple of days ago and posted pictures here of the cards and scrapbook page I made. I have participated in these Challenges for months because I love to do them and any excuse to play with great stamps works for me but I have never won anything. Today I looked at the challenge results for Melanie Muenchinger's Mixology101 challenge and I won!!!!! I was so excited because I really wanted a couple of stamp sets from the release party but it just wasn't going to fit into the budget so for the first time I didn't order any and decided to do the challenges on the off chance that my name would be drawn as they are random drawings from all of the entries. It was MY lucky day. Thanks Melanie for the awesome challenge and Thanks Gina for always being so generous.

Isn't this the cutest little winter boy?

Isn't he just darling! I have wanted this set called Warm and Cozy Christmas from GinaK Designs since the Design Team started showing pre release previews. Only problem with that was that there were 4 other sets that I felt the same way about and didn't have the money for all so this set had to wait until TODAY!
I colored the little boy's snow suit with copic markers and added a tiny band of glitter pen under his feet and sled runners. I mounted him on Taken with Teal from Stampin Up cardstock and mounted that pieceon a piece of dp with tiny snowflakes. I have been waiting to use this beautiful striped piece of DP until I had the right image and this was it.
I had died the twill tape a while back using SU Taken with Teal reinker. I cut the Merry Christmas words apart so that I could mount them on an acrylic block one above the other.
I finished off the card with 3 antique gold star eyelets that I had bought in the WalMart sewing section and used my Cropadile to fasten them to the card.
I am off to finish the card of the little girl from this set. See you in a bit. Thanks for looking.
