My very first My Favorite Things card!!!

Since I had too much free time on my hands, I decided to play along in a My Favorite Things Challenge.  I realized after I started it that it was a Challenge to pick a Guest Designer for December,  Ohhh even more fun.  What fun that would be!!!  I have stalked the MFT forum and store for over a year and just never had the extra money to become addicted to another Stamp Company, no matter how much I love them!!! Here is my Challenge project card to use Kraft cardstock....

I have not bought any MFT stamps until last night but really wanted to play in the challenge.  I remembered that MFT had added some digital images.  Right up my alley.  I bought Gardner Flopsey and I'm Pulliln for you Flopsey digital images.  I get stamps with instant gratification and have time to play in the Guest Designer Challenge.
I'm pullin for you Flopsey was colored with copics and then cut out with the Spellbinder Label 3 die and I thought this die was perfect because it had a rounded center section that looked like it was made especially to go around Flopsey's ears LOL,  Works for me!!
Before I removed the die I sponged vintage photo and weathered wood Tim Holtz distress inks around the edge leaving a nice white border.
I used a piece of dp with blue and brown diamonds on a neutral beige background I thought fit the colored image perfectly.  The blue cs is from my LSS and I punched the two horizontal sides with the Wide scallopped lattice design border punch.  Looks like a fence to keep a rabbit in.... or out!!!
I added some brown and white narrow checked ribbon to which I added a real bow, I'm getting better at tying those little buggers LOL
Lastly I wanted to use my new embellishment addiction, the pretty punched flowers.  My DT friend Lisa Cook had a tutorial on her blog a couple of months ago on how to make them using the MS geranium flower punches.  I used the same dp as the center band to punch the flowers.  I love that I can punch the flowers out of the same dp and they alway match, added bonus.
I can't image that I would be chosen to be the December Guest Designer but it sure would be fun.  I will attend the MFT release party on Wednesday, December 2 (which just happens to be my birthday)  Wouldn't that be a wonderful Birthday present!?!
I'm pullin for you Flopsey was so much fun to color I can't wait to make another.  I wonder if I should do a second card for the challenge?

Thanks for stopping by see you tomorrow.

Happy Coloring

Home Tweet Home altered to be a Christmas card :0

When the Mo's Digital Pencil Group on Paper Craft Planet, (PCP), hit 650 members earlier in the week Mo created a new freebie called Home Tweet Home.  It is a really cute image of a grapevine style wreath with a Home Tweet Home sign at the top and two cuddly birds sitting on the wreath.  Well because it is the Holiday Season I made it an evergreen wreath with holly berries and two red birds.

The image was colored with copic markers.  the holly berries were added with Christmas Red Stickles.  The beige twill ribbon was sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink to make it a little more brown tone rather than the grey tone it had.  The Happy Holidays was stamped onto the twill ribbon after tying it onto the card and was stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink.
Kind of a simple card so as not to take away from the really cute dp.  Love those Christmas Trees in country Christmas colors.
Now that Thanksgiving is over, and it was great!!!, I have to get busy on Christmas stuff soon especially since the Celebration is at my house. Making Christmas cards helps get me in the Spirit :)

See you all tomorrow!!!

Riley and Company Challenge Card for the Delightful Sketches Challenge

This week Riley and Company is sponsoring the Challenge at Delightful Sketches.  I created this Sock Monkey Riley card with a Christmas theme for the challenge.

The appropriate sentiment on this card is Merry Christ Moose!  Riley and his BFF sock monkey are wishing each and everyone a Very Merry Holiday Season.
I didn't want to cover up my beautiful Christmas Tree dp so I decided to use strips of rick rack instead of a wider strip of paper.  I punched a MS border punch along the bottom of the center strip of dp and added a green holiday satin ribbon across the center of the card.  The sentiment was hand printed and glued to the back of a clear Tim Holtz fragment tag.  A matching green ribbon is attached to the tag hole.
Thanks for stopping by and Thanks Tanya for sponsoring the Challenge.  The challenge winner will be chosen at random from the entries and the prize is 3 wood  mounted Riley stamps of your choice.  Pretty cool!!

Thanks for stopping by, Not sure what I will have for you tomorrow but I think it will be the newest freebie from Mo's Digital Pencil that she offered when the Paper Craft Planet group reached 650 members.  It is so wonderful to watch this group grow.  Mo is such a talented artist and graces us with new images almost daily.

See you all tomorrow,

Cathy

Hark the Herald Angels--Mo's Digital Pencil Angel image

I thought this little Heralding Angel called Monique from Mo's Digital Pencil, would be cute colored in blue and colored with beautiful black hair.

I colored Monique with copic markers and then added Atyou clear glitter pen on the rope of the robe, wings and angel hair.
The main image was cut out using my Fiskar's circle cutter and the larger black circle was cut out with my MS circle cutter.  After the black circle was cut I used my corner rounder punch to make the scallops as I didn't have a Nestie large enough it is a 4 1/2 inch circle.
The dp behind the circles is Cosmic Cricket Eskimo Kisses and the solid blue for the card base is from my LSS.
The snowflakes are punched with a MS punch and I added MS glitter to the front.
Hope you like this cute little angel.  She would certainly be a cute Christmas Card and I am sure that will be what I use her for.

I will be back later with a Riley and Company card for a Challenge that Riley and Company are hosting this week.  More deets when I post the card :)

Thanks for stopping by.  See you later!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Combined Images and Christmas Theme

This week's Challenge hosted by Caryn is to use at least two Mo's Digital Pencil images and incorporate them into a Christmas Theme.  I used the Christmas Tree and Bella and Bronte Skating.  Maybe more of a winter theme than Christmas but it is what I am going witih :)  What do you think?

The skating pond was hand drawn as were the snow drifts surrounding the Christmas Tree.  All images and background snow were colored with copic markers.  The snowy areas were outlined with an Atyou clear glitter pen and the ornaments on the tree were also colored in with Atyou glitter pens in gold, green and red. If you double click the image you can see the pond was covered with crystal effects for that icy glaze look.
The sky was sponged on with Tim Holtz Distress ink Weathered Wood.
I am in Kansas City today enjoying  Thanksgiving Day with my family.  Hope you are all enjoying your day as well.
Be sure that you check out the other DT members on the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog and we would love to have you play along.
If you don't know how to merge images into one project Dawn has a tutorial on her blog or you can always print out the images, cut them out and merge them that way.  We just want you to have fun with Mo's images and play along with us.

Riley and Company is open!

Just wanted to post this cute little Cafe Riley card using a new Riley stamp that is available now at Riley and Company.

Isn't this a super cute Riley stamp.  The coloring is copic markers and while you could cover the glass with crystal effects for this image I did not.
I cut out the Riley image and mounted it in the center of my Top Note Die.  I framed Riley with the outer border of a Quikutz label die.
I mounted on a piece of Cosmic Cricket Delightful dp which I also used for the largest flower.
A couple of flowers and a butterfly and you have a cute card that could be used for a Coffee Break invitation, Thank you card, Relax you've earned it.  The possibilities are endless.

Gotta go to bed for now but be sure to check out all the Riley and Sophie stamps available now at Riley and Company.

Thanks for stopping by always glad to see you!!!

Oh Christmas Tree!

I wanted to make a simple card with the beautiful Christmas Tree from Mo's Digital Pencil.  It may not look that simple but it really is:

The tree is colored with copic markers and the ornaments are colored with Atyou glitter pens.  I have red, green, gold, silver, and clear.  In person this is a very sparkly card, just doesn't show up as well in a photograph.
The glitter is MS glitter called snow.  I used stickles white to add snow to the branches and while it was still wet I sprinkled the MS snow glitter on.  I used the MS glitter glue to add snow to the ground cover.  The snow glitter is fairly large flakes and looks like freshly fallen snow.  The snowflakes falling from the sky are also stickles sprinkled with snow glitter.
I mounted the main image, which I sponged around the edges with distress inks in weatherd wood and vintage photo, was mounted on brown cs and then that was mounted on a weathered beige cs from a Christmas paper pack called A Country Christmas by Hobby Lobby.  This layer was mouned on a blue mounted on brown.
I added a real bow I tied around the middle layer with brown checked ribbon.
Hope you like my simple card with lots of glitter.

Be sure to check out Mo's Digital Pencil as she has added some incredible images this week-end.

I will have a new Riley image for you tomorrow so be sure and stop by.

Happy coloring!!

Celebrate! Merged 3 Mo's Digital Pencil images on one card!

When I saw Aaron Celebrating I knew that I wanted to merge that image with Abby Celebrating that Mo's Digital Pencil offered for sale last week.  Even though Bronte appears to be Bella's dog, I inclouded him in the celebration to hold the sentiment"Party Time"  (I'm sure Bella is at the party somewhere!!! )

I hadn't merged any images in Photo Shop Elements 7 for a couple of weeks and it took me a while to remember how I did it :)
The images that I merged were all from Mo's Digital Pencil and they are:  Abby Celebrating, Aaron Celebrating and the Bronte was cropped from Making Cards.  I hand wrote the sentiment "Party Time"
All images were colored with copic markers...shocking I know LOL.
The dp is from my Cosmic Cricket Delicious paper pack.
The ribbon was dyed by me using SU reinkers and white grosgrain ribbon.
Prima flowers and button were from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by.  I may be a little lax in posting some this week as I have to get ready for company next weekend which follows a quick trip to Kansas City for Thanksgiving Dinner with family hosted by my daughter, Michelle, her husband Roger and kids Cheyenne, Hayden and Sierra.
My son, from Oklahoma will be coming to KC and then coming on up to Omaha to spend a couple of days with us.  We don't get to see him and the girls often enough because of distance and our busy lives, so try to make the most of the little time that we do get.

I am 99 percent positive that Riley and Company is open for business as of today.  Tanya from Stampers Ink has asked the DT from Hanna Stamps to be on the DT for Riley and Company and we have all accepted and are very excited to get Riley and Sophie started in their new home.

I will catch you later.  Gotta watch the Nebraska game tonight...Go Huskers!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--You're my Best

Okay, I have no clue where I lost a day but I thought last night was Tuesday night and not Wednesday night so I didn't bother to post my Mo's Digital Challenge last night URGHHHHHH!!!  I had added it to the DT file to post but not here on my blog.  Here you go:

The challenge this week by our hostess Caryn was called 3-2-1.  3 papers, 2 ribbons, and one fancy edge.

Yeah, I followed a challenge correctly..it happens :)

The darling little boy and his Best Friend blue dog were colored with copic markers.  Take a close up look at the dog and see the fun fur copic technique that I used on it.

I have to go check out the rest of the DT cards and if my memory serves me correctly this is the Dream Team blog hop Thursday.

Thanks for stopping by :)

So Jazzy What a Cool Cat?

Okay, I promised the Mo's Digital Pencil new image, So Jazzed, featuring none other than Bella and Bronte jazzing it up.

I thought Belle should be dressed up Beatnick style in mostly black with just a touch of red to keep it fun!!
My husband plays the saxaphone and my two oldest girls also played the sax in grade school but gave it up for sports in middle school, so this was a must have image for me.
Copic markers were used to color the image and the saxaphone is highlighted and edged with a copic Atyou gold glitter pen.
In keeping with the black/white and red theme I found this black dp with a diamond shape white lined design that I thought would be perfect for this image.  I mounted the dp, main image, and solid black cs with Red Riding Hool cs to make it pop.
The musical notes are a cuttlebug die that I got on sale at Michaels a couple of years ago.  I have only used it one other time, but see...I needed it!!

This will be my last Mo image until the Challenge card on Thursday as tomorrow I will have a couple of new Riley cards and some exciting Riley news.

Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.

Sugar Plum Fairy

Last night Mo's Digital Pencil posted this awesome very detailed image called Sugar.  I had to have it...I know I have to have them all :)  I had so much fun coloring it last night but decided to wait until today to make her into a card.  I got off work early, darn the bad luck, so here she is!

Lots of copic markers got to play on this card.  I added sparkle to her wings and tutu with my Copic Atyou clear glitter pen.
I sponged around the edge of the image with Pixie Pink SU classic ink. Added a flower in the upper left hand corner and a white grosgrain ribbon knot bow on the right side of the matte's.
Isn't this just perfect for a girls Birthday card or even a Sugar Plum Fairy Christmas card.
Thanks for stopping by to look.
Later I will have Bella and Bronte So Jazzed card for you so be sure and stop by.

Hope you are all having a great day!!!

White Christmas with Snowy Woods, Artistic Outpost

It's about time to really start creating some Christmas Cards.  My favorite Christmas set for elegant, gorgeous Christmas cards is Snowy Woods from Artistic Outpost.  For this card I have used the boughs and door from this set.

The images were stamped onto the dark blue card stock using a versamark pad.  I then sprinkles white embossing powder and used my heat gun to set the embossing powder.
I added some sponged white around the bottom and sides to give the appearance of wind blown whisps of snow, you have to use your imagination a little :)
I added MS glitter to the snowflakes which were punched with a MS punch.  A Plaid Christmas ribbon tied in a bow in the upper left corner of the door image and a band of ribbon under the embossed panel.
I love the Snowy Woods stamp plate to color but tonight I decided I wanted to do my favorite Christmas card technique of simple embossing.
Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow when I will share a super cute Cupcake Fairy called Sugar that Mo added to her store tonight.  I couldn't wait to color it but too late to finish the card so will do that as my project to show you tomorrow night.
See you later,

Cathy

Hanna Stamps Pre-Party Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hanna Stamps night before the Release Party Blog Hop.  If you came to my blog from Lauri's blog you are in the right spot.  If you came because you frequent my blog, I really appreciate your visit, and if you want to view the Hanna Stamps DT cards begin at Sandra's blog and I will see you again in a little bit :)

I have a couple of cards for you tonight first being a beautiful but simple Hanuka card using the Hanuka Hanna set that was released last week.

I used the Star of David stamp and the Menorah.  I colored the Menorah  parts that would be metal with my silver Atyou glitter pen and colored the candles dark blue to match the Hanuka Expressions dp that I found at Archivers.

My second card is from the Spa Hanna stamp set.  I created a card that expresses the sentiment to Relax and enjoy the Spa:

The bathrobes and head scarves along with the Spa gift basket that are included in the Spa Hanna set would be perfect for an invitation to a Girls' Night Out, a Birthday gift card, Mother's Day...the possibilities are endless.
Doesn't Hanna look relaxed in her Spa setting:

I have added a scalloped edge with my new MS border/corner punch set.  I added a double row of ribon and a bow for the only embellishments.

Hope you have enjoyed the projects that I have created using two new sets from Hanna Stamps.  Be sure to come to the Release Party tomorrow night at 8:00 Central Time on SCS Hanna Stamps Forum.

Now you are ready to head over to Jeanne's blog to see what she has created for you to see...  You know it will be great.

Be sure to leave a comment on each blog you visit along the way as you don't know which blog will be offering a wonderful prize to Blog Hop visitors who comment!!!

Thanks for stopping by the Hanna Stamps DT Blog Hop!!

Let's Do Lunch?

Mo, of Mo's Digital Pencil, created this super cute image she named Lunchtime but I couldn't resist adding the sentiment "Let's Do Lunch" LOL  The calico cat only looks interested in the veggie tray...... The three mice don't seem concerned about the Calico cat watching them, should they be?
Colored with copic markers and if you can believe it I didn't sponge around the image. I know, it happens, just not often :)
I picked this fun kitchen dp I got a couple of years ago at my LSS so I don't kmow the name of it, sorry.
This will probably be my last post until the Hanna Stamps Blog Hop tonight, hope you stop back by to see the DT samples for the new stamps that were just released.

I am working on a couple of Artistic Outpost cards using my favorite Christmas stamp set, Snowy Woods that I will post tomorrow night.
I'm having fun coloring today, hope you are doing what makes you happy today!!!

Riley is alive and well and living in Kansas!!!

Yep, Riley  and Sophie have made their way to their new home in Shawnee, Kansas at Stamper's Ink.
Riley and Sophie have their own website and email address, how special is that!!!  The website is called Riley and Company.

The Mrs. Claus Riley is one of the newest Riley's.  As a DT member for Hanna Stamps the DT had already received their Riley stamps before the decision was finalized for Kristi to sell Riley,  I think it was more of an open adoption but that is just my opinion :).  Since most of us had already made cards using the two new Riley's we waited until they were up on the new Riley and Company site before we posted cards.

My understanding is that you will not be able to order them from the store until November 21, 2009,  but after that .....

I am planning to stop by the store one of these days on a trip to Kansas City.  Although I usually stay in North Kansas City I will make a special trip to Shawnee, or maybe go and take a class.  I know that I met the owners at the Copic Certification Class in October 2008 in KC but I don't really know them.

Hope you like my Mrs. Claus card using Eskimo Kisses Basic Grey papers and of course Mrs. Claus was colored with Copic markers.

Tonight we are having a Hanna Stamps, Day before the Release Party Blog Hop to show some more samples of the new Hanna Stamps sets that were released a couple of weeks ago.  The Blog Hop will begin tonight at 9:00 Central Time at Kristi Ferro's blog.

The Release Party is tomorrow night and we would love to see you there for samples, prizes, and fun.  The Release Party as always will be on the SCS Hanna Stamps forum at 8:00 central time Monday November 16, 2009.  See you there.

See you later at the Blog Hop!!!

Squigglefly Challenge Card

I chose Shy Bear from Squigglefly for my challenge card.  It is a sketch challenge this week.  I have a couple of friends from other DT's on the Squigglefly DT and thought I would play along this week.   Hi Debbie, Sue and Heather :)

The image is colored with copic markers and I used my dangerous MS circle cutter to cut out the image and matte.  I say dangerous because I got in a hurry removing the protective tip from the blade and cut my finger badly.  I can be hazardous to my own health LOL!
Squigglefly has some really cute digital images and this little bear is adorable.  If you want a closer look at this image double click on it.
Thanks for looking and play along if you have time!

Thanks for Looking!

Today is Friday Hanna Stamps Weekly Challenge and Mo's Digital Pencil Birthday Card!

Okay, maybe I was in a weird mood when I made this but I think it is cute!!!  How many times have we all forgotten a birthday and we say, "Oh, crap(ola) I Forgot Your Birthday"  Think of it as a picture card where the pictures tell you what the words are.... okay it is a stretch, I still think it is cute :)
This was created for the Hanna Stamps weekly challenge, hosted by Silke,  which was to create a card for a man or boy.
This is a really fun new set that was released last week and I have already made several cards with it.
************

My next card will probably be my birthday card to my sweet granddaughter Sierra who will be 2 December 12.  She is a little red head ....this could be her!!!(look below for comparison)

I just love this new My Minds Eye paper pack that I got last week when Michael's had 50% off certain ones.  It is called Delightful and perfect for lots of my Mo's Digital Pencil projects.  Isn't this the cutest little girl image called You're My Best...  I thought that the I WUV U sentiment fit a two year old too.  Wanna see how psychic Mo is,  here is a picture of Sierra and peek of my daughter Michelle:

I told you.  This picture was taken in July at the baby shower for baby Leigha.
Just wanted to share my observation, tell me if you agree?!?
Hope you all are having a great day.  I am home with one of my headaches and am going to stop now and go lay down for awhile.

Thanks for stopping by, always love to have you :)

Out There -- For a Worthy Cause!

Blogger is being really weird tonight.  I was sitting here thinking of what to write and the post published itself...  all righty then... edit published post  :)

I call this card Look Up to see my Star!   created in honor of Layton, 16 month old family member of Jak who died of Meningitis October 27, 2009.

To find out about the reason for this image please click on the Jak's blog for her sad story and what she is trying to do to find a vaccine for Meningitis.

I don't very often feel the need to contribute to a cause but not just because Jak is a fellow DT member on Mo's Digital Pencil I was compelled to contribute and couldn't wait to color this image.

If you also feel compelled to contribute to the cause follow the link on Jak's blog, there are two digital images in the purchase and all proceeds go to the Cause.

I will color the other image included in the cause contribution in the next day or two.

Thanks for stopping by See you tomorrow for the Friday Hanna Stamps Challenge TGIF!!!

Thursday means new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog project!!!

I chose Penguin with Gift for my sketch challenge this week on Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog. I really like penguin images for winter and Holiday cards.  You can find the sketch challenge on the Mo's Digital Pencil Blog, didn't Caryn create a wondeful sketch.?
I used some Happy Holiday dp from Michaels for the backdrop for my Penguin colored with copic markers and sponged with Tim Holtz distress inks.
The scroll at the bottom is a cuttlebug fancy scroll and the top panel is white cs that I punched with my new MS corner and border punch.
I added some stickles clear glitter glue for a touch of snow under the penguin feet along the bottom of the circle.
The penguin's scarf is colored with Atyou glitter pens in red and green., and the candy canes on the gift wrap are also colored with the red Atyou glitter pen.  It really sparkles which you should be able to see by double clicking and enlarging the photo.
A red poinsetta prima flower and a green button and my card is ready to enjoy for the  Holiday Season :)
We have had great participation in our challenges and we love to have you all play along.

This week Mo is offering the winner of the challenge, (which is a random drawing on Wednesday before the new challenge posts on Thursday), the opportunity to offer a suggestion to Mo for an image and  you get to name it too.  Doesn't that sound like fun!
Be sure to check out all of the other DT members projects, there are some truly spectacular projects.

Tomorrow I will have a special project for a worthy cause.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

An experiment with Angel of Peace

I love this image, Angel of Peace new from Mo's Digital Pencil, tonight and tried to add lots of glitter on the wings, doves and the angel's rope belt is gold glitter pen.  I hope that when you double click the image that you will be able to see the sparkles.

I love to color angels. I used all of my 0000 colors on this image to keep it very subtle in color.
I used my new MS corner and border punches to create the outside edge and did really good until I got to the very last corner and then messed up.  I will fix it but wanted to see if you could see the glitter.  I took 10 photos and this was the best. URGHHHH!

Miles and his Flutterby

Isn't Miles and his Flutterby from Mo's Digital Pencil just the most darling little image that we an all relate to.  I think all little kids love butterflies and all creatures great and small.  Just to see the wonder in their eyes as the butterfly lands trustingly on their head or hand on on the flower nearby.

I colored Miles with copic markers and added the fence top made out of a new MS border punch.  I couldn't resist as Michaels has all MS items 30% off this week.

I added butterflies that I punched with a MS punch from embossed cs.  I love the texture that this gives to the butterflies.  I sponged the edges with Weather Wood distress ink.

Hope you like the little guy as much as I did.  Mo has added a lot of really neat stamps this week so if you havne't been there yet, go check them out.  .

See you tomorrow with a heavenly card.

I have coloring to do now so see you later,

Hanna Stamps November/December Release Challenge

It is hard to believe that it is November and that means a new release from Hanna Stamps.  Due to the frenzy of the holidays Hanna Stamps is having a single Release on November 16 for November and December sets.  The Release Party Challenge gives the DT members an opportunity to sneak in a new set in the challenge :)  You should play the challenge as Hanna Stamps is offering a 20.00 gift certificate.  The winner will be announced at the Release Party between 9:30 and 10:00.
This month Kristi of Hanna Stamps decided to release her new sets a couple of weeks early in order for everyone to be able to get those new sets in time for Holiday gift giving.
Here is my first sneak peak from the Chanuka Hanna set:

I used my newly discovered favorite Holiday dp called Eskimo Kisses by Basic Grey. Hanna is colored in copic markers.  The texture of the skirt was created using the blender copic marker and pouncing the marker up and down all over the skirt area to gain the effect.  Just a tip to do some pouncing but remember that as it dries it lightens even more and you can redo it to take off more but it is very difficult to add the color back.
The images were cut out using the Spellbinder Label 4 die cuts and then embossed to attain the rim around the edge.  The rim along the edge was outlined with the Atyou gold glitter pen.
The gold ribbon was laid on and then I tied a real bow and attached it on top of the strand of ribbon.  I created white and red/cream flowers using the MS geranium flower punches I got at Michaels.  I love these little flowers.
This card was created for the Hanna Stamps New Release Challenge which was a sketch challenge.  I followed it almost perfectly, however, I did add the 3 flowers in the upper left hand corner that the sketch didn't show.
We are going to have a DT blog hop on Sunday November 15 to jumpstart the release party which will be Monday November 16 at 8:00 pm Central Time.
Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow!

I needed a Mo fix, isn't she Beautiful!

I haven't had as much time to color while I was recuperating from my surgery.  The last of my stitches come out tomorrow and after having company all week-end I had to color. Lately when I have to color, I want it to be a Mo Digital Pencil image, they are so fun to color.  I bought Clara last week and colored her last night.  I wanted to keep her soft and beautiful, I think I succeeded!

I colored Clara with copic markers of course :)  I had to use my largest Fiskar's circle template to cut out my main image.  The dp is Basic Gray Eskimoo Kisses.  Ribbon is from Michaels, Poinsetta flower is from Archivers.  I think that about covers the local craft stores LOL.
I added a trio of gold rimmed diamond gems to add a little sparker around the circle and to focus your attention on the main image.
Thanks for looking and keep your eyes open as I am all healed up now and ready to color, color, color.  I just got two more Mo images tonight so fun for me.  See you tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by!

two quick Mo's Digital Pencil images for tonight

Not really much to tell about these two but do want to show them to you.l  The animal pile is called Coexist and is brand new tonight.  I had to have it!!!  Here is what I did with it.  I photoshopped it onto a piece of scanned Let there be Peace on Earth sheet music.  Colored with copic markers:

Second I have Thomas in Trouble.  Colored with copic markers.

This reminds me of my children when they say Mom come here and see what I colored for you.   You are busy and say bring it here so I can see.  To which they reply.  I can't..... yeah you have to go see which wall was beautified and hope it wasn't too permanent for Kilz to fix. :)

Have a great night.  Thanks for stopping by.

Remember you can double click on the pictures to get  a close up of them.

Happy Coloring!!!

All that Glitters, Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

This month Caryn is our hostess for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog challenge.  Caryn chose the theme of "All that Glitters"  Your card must have three things that glitter!  I am not usually much of a glitz and glitter gal but I think my card turned out pretty and cute rolled into one:

I colored Harry gets a Hand using copic markers.  I drew in a strand of silver garland around the tree with my Sukara Star Dust glitter pen as one glitter element.  I used Twinklets Diamond Dust on the snowflakes as my second glittery element.
I gold star and paper that the gold star was cut from (at the bottom) are colored with a copic AtYou gold glitter pen.
My final glittery item is the transparent beige ribbon with gold edges and gold strands running through it.
The cs is from Cosmo Cricket, Mini Deck Jolly by Golly 6X6 paper pack that I purchased at Archiver's.
Be sure you check out the other DT members All that Glitters projects, it will so be worth the trip.
Hope to see your glittery card in the challenge this week, I'll be looking for it.
Thanks for stopping by.

Mrs.Katz, New Hanna Stamps set--too cute!

Hanna Stamps has some new stamp sets for November and December that have been offered in the store right now.  Mr and Mrs. Katz is an adorable set and tonight I have one card using 6 of the stamps from this hilariously cute set:

Don't you agree that this is a wonderfully cute set, just look at those cats, the yarn ball, and the sentiment.  Mrs. Katz is soo incredibly cute and I think we all know a Mrs. Katz in our lives.
I found this super cute dp at Archivers and thought it would be perfect for this set.  I created the cat collar on the bottom of the card with the jewel ring from a strip of cs cut into two pieces, a belt like tab trimmed, a small gold d-ring created the buckle.
The image has a lot of sparkle which Mrs. Katz cats like on the wires of the fish hat, Mrs. Katz glasses and chains, the circles on her skirt, the knitting needles, and the stitching on the cat collar.
Hope you like this card created with Mr. and Mrs. Katz available now on Hanna Stamps website.  Wait till you see Mr. Katz!!!

Tomorrow is the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.  This week we have a wonderful challenge so if you don't have a Mo's image yet, there was just a new freebie offered so you can play along.  Hope to see you there.

See you tomorrow, thanks for stopping by,

Cathy

Give Thanks!

Today I went back to the Dr. to have my stitches removed from my surgery last week.  Only part of the stitches were removed but the rest will be removed next week.  After fighting an infection at the incision site over the week-end and having to call for antibiotics, all is well and healing.  The biopsy showed that all cancer cells were removed so to celebrate,  I created a Give Thanks card for tonight!
The flowers from The Old Grist Mill stamp plate from Artistic Outpost are so beautiful and I love to color them in fall colors.  Today I used my copic airbrush system to color them.  I love the more impressionistic feel created this way.
The orange checked ribbon is nice on this background with the gently swirled ribbon outlining the sentiment which was stamped with Just Rite stamps.  I love that I can make the sentiments that I want with them.
Thanks for stopping by.  I have a lot of things to show you over the next few days so stop by often, I love to show you what I love to do!!!

Tonight I am thankful for many things!!!

Watch Mo's Digital Pencil Grow! 600 Members

Mo's Digital Pencil celebrated another century milestone in Paper Craft Planet group membership tonight, Linda became the 600th member.  It is so much fun to watch this ubber talented illustrators group grow by leaps and bounds and each and every single one of her images is a must have.
The following is the freebie that Mo had created in honor of reaching 600 members:

The freebie image is called They Grow so Fast   but I think that it symbolizes how fast Mo's Digital Pencil following has grown once people see how incredibly talented she is and how each and every one of her images are so wonderfully created with love.
I created this card as a tribute to Mo. , her talent, and how much her followers (myself included) appreciate her talent and how much she cares about her followers.
I added the numbers 400, 500 and 600 to the branches going upward.  You should be able to double click on the image to view the image closer.
I hope that you enjoyed my card tonight and if you haven't had a chance to visit Mo's Digital Pencil you really should.  If you love to color and you love cute and meaningful images you wil love Mo's Digital Pencil as much as I do.
See you all tomorrow.

Geisha Hanna

I love this Geisha Hanna from the October Release at Hanna Stamps.  I added the parasal and footbridge, included in the set, to create this scene.
The image was colored with copic markers and because I always think of Asian themed cards as being very formal, elegant and have gold highlights I tried to incorporate these influences in this card.
The flowers in the kimono are outlined with gold  copic Atyou glitter pen,
I sponged clouds above the bridge to accentuate the sentiment, and sponged a hint of ground along and below the bridge.
The dp is origami paper which was purchased in a packet at Michaels because I wanted a true Asian feel to the cards I created with this set :). I liked that this piece of dp had quite a bit of red and the blues and greens that I had used in the coloring of the image.
I tied gold cord around the card base and added 3 gold buttons tied with gold cord for accents.

Well, it is back to work tomorrow.  Hopefully I will get everything back to normal this week.
It was a wonderful fun filled week-end having my second daughter, Michelle, and her family here to spend Halloween trick or treating and a quiet Sunday with us.  They spent the night with my daughter as my old dog has issues with one of their dogs.  They all came over for breakfast and lunch today and it was fun to have 6 of my grandkids there all at once.  It is more fun now that they are older to do things together and reason with :)
See you all tomorrow night.  I will have a Mo's Digital Pencil image tomorrow night.

Thanks for stopping by,

Cathy
