Birds of a Feather--Artistic Outpost

My crafting time has been rather limited for the past month but everything is back to normal now so I have time to show you a couple of projects that I created for the January Release at Artistic Outpost.

Birds of a Feather is a wonderful set and birds are always so perfect for almost any occasion.  Here is my note card created with this beautiful set:

The embossing is done with a Quikutz embossing folder.
The oval was outlined with the copic airbrush system as well as the coloring on the robin.
I wanted to keep it rather simple so only tied a brown checked ribbon at the top.
This would be a wonderful iimage and design (if I do say so myself) for a set of gift cards.

Next I created a simple bookmark using the stamps from the Paris Exposition stamp set which was also released in January:

Very simple design.  I cut a strip of white cardstock 2X6. The corners were punched with the MS fancy corner punch (the one that has the coordinating border punch).   The hole for the colored fibers was punched with a 1/4 inch SU hold punch.
The balloon themed stamps were the ones that I chose for this bookmark.  The images were stamped randomly down the bookmark using Momento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with copic marker in shades of blue.
The edges were sponged with brown and blue distress ink and the faux stitching was done with a SU brown journaling pen.

Thanks for stopping by.
Be sure to check out the Artistic Outpost blog and store for all of their wonderful stamps and inspirational projects by the DT.

See you tomorrow with a Riley and Company Valentine card.

Happy Coloring!!

New Stamp Release -- Artistic Outpost

The wait is finally over!!! Paris Exposition and Birds of a Feather are here.
Use coupon code Spring2010 at checkout to receive 20% off each of these two new collections purchased together or individually. Note - coupon expires January 26th.

 Paris Exposition

Paris Exposition: Inspired by the Paris Exposition of 1889, for which the famed Eiffel Tower was built, this stamp collection features bold vintage style images including a French version of "What's up?". In French, we translated it to be "Quoi de nuef?" There are several collage elements to this collection which will provide you the flexibility to add multiple layers to your creations.

Birds of a Feather

Birds of a Feather: Edwardian romanticism inspires this collection of bird images. Included is a perfect ATC background of German text. You will also love the engraving realism to the main bird images. This collection is timeless and seasonless, though we did give you a special sentiment for your springtime project
Both collections are available unmounted or pre-cut and mounted on EZMount cling foam.
