Blogger has been hateful for days and this should have been posted on Tuesday. I hope it gets posted today since I am the hostess for this challenge this week and I am totally not happy with Blogger at this point in time.
Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week is My Favorite Color combo and I am the hostess. I chose this adorable Sassy Sally image, A Letter sent with Love, in my favorite color combo of blue and brown:
Someone very near and dear to me gave me the stamps to see how I liked them. I used for the tag I thought was so much fun and I thought went so perfectly with the slightly vintage theme I was going for with the tags, doile and colors.
The rest of the DT created awesome cards and I hope you visited their blogs and left them some love and grabbed a Sassy Cheryl image to play along in the Challenge for a chance to win two images in the weekly random drawing.
Sassy Cheryl is having a big store wide sale this week-end so be sure to check it out!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Easter Week-end if you celebrate the religious holiday and if not, enjoy the wonderful weather if you are lucky enough to have nice weather :)
Hugs to all and have a wonderful creative week-end.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--E is for.....
Are you ready for a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge? Well, it is Thursday and time for a new one and Pat has chosen the theme, E is for.... and you get to choose anything that begins with E to complete your project. I chose the sweet image called, Fairy Needle :
Sorry about the darkness of the photo but easel cards are kind of hard to photograph. I colored this little beauty with copics and decided that my "E's" would be Elegance, Edging, Easel, and of course, made by EDGAR. I managed to saw a wooden spool in half and wound half of it with turquoise bakers twine for the lower level of the easel and a bow for the spool on the top.
Have I mentioned I am in love with the little wooden die cuts right now, I had a pair of scissors that were perfect for my quilt card and a button finished off the embellishments set on the tape measure ribbon I found at Michaels. Three hand made flowers and my card is complete.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what beautiful E cards the rest of the DT has created and then grab a Mo's image and play along because for every 25 entrants a prize is given...how cool is that.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Women or Girls
Happy Thursday and welcome to a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge. The theme this week is, For Women or Girls, and is brought to you by the ubber talented Iulia. I chose Full Heart:
I chose this darling image with the sweet basket of hearts to color with copics. I cut the image out with my fiskars circle cutter and them created a frame with my cricut elegant edges cartridge. Mounted that frame onto a coordinating pink polka dot dp.
Michael's was clearancing their lace last week so I stocked up on the colors I use most in the adhesive lace ribbon which you can see at the bottom of the card, isn't it just perfect!! A couple of dragon flies punched out and shaped a little, a trio of hand rolled roses sponged with blue ink and my little girl is ready to send. I forgot to mention I used crystal accents on her little shoes, to make them shine :)
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards to see what they have created for you to see and stop by the store to see what Mo has created, grab an image and play along in the challenge for a chance to win one of the prizes offered for every 25 entrants in the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Pearls and Ribbons
Thursday is time for a new, Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge, and the theme this week, brought to you by the talented Pat, is Pearls and Ribbons. I chose to use Mummu's Roses for my card:
Mummu has always been one of my favorite Mo images, maybe because I can relate to her LOL. The image was colored with copics and the shading was sponged with distressed ink. The corner mounts were cut with my cricut using the Picturesque cartridge and the pearls and lace was added to adhere to the theme. Had to add a few hand made roses, cause I still love them :) I added a wooden bird, which I think added a spring outdoorsy touch to the card which I kind of liked too. I love the new wooden embellishments that are so popular right now. Good thing too, because I just bought a bunch, couldn't resist, they jumped in my cart at Michaels, what 's a girl to do???
Be sure to drop by the Challenge Blog and check out the rest of the DT challenge cards, I know they will be gorgemous!!! and grab a Mo's image and play along in the challenge for a chance to win in the random drawing. Mo gives a prize for each 25 entrants who participate in the Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Anything Goes!!
Can you believe it is the first of the Month again and time for another Anything Goes Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge!!! I chose the darling Bernard:
Mo created several darling dog images a few months ago and I chose this adorable St. Bernard and colored him and he has been sitting on my desk just waiting for the perfect opportunity to get made into a card. The only problem I had was trying to find a fire
hydrant LOL. You would think with all the cricut cartridges I have and all the free SVG images online there would be one..........but NO........after wasting too much time looking I finally printed off a clip art image and cut it out, second best I guess.
I used two different dog dp's, that I had, a little picket fence, a paw print ribbon, and a paw print ribbon attached to a Play TH tag chain. I added a few hand made roses and sprig leaves and my Anything Goes card is complete.
The Sentiment is from a Dog stamp set I got at Michael's, with all different Dog related stamps and this is one of my favorites.
Side Note: When I was growing up: back in the dark ages--a good friend of the family who was actually a dwarf, used to raise St. Bernards. We always thought it was so unusual that a small man would choose such a large breed to raise. I remember Andy even now and can remember him stopping by to visit with my parents.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the my DT sistahs have created for you to see and grab a Mo image and play along. Remember for every 25 entrants Mo gives a prize.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day!!!

Show Me Thursday--Play time for Me!!!
I have been doing a little playing so decided to show you a couple of things and a picture of my messy desk LOL. Perfect time to submit to the Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Thursday Challenge :)
I have been reading a lot of crafting magazines and Pinterest lately because I can..... and the Library card notebook which I described above in my previous post and the belt buckle necklace which I am in the process of making are two of my projects. The flowers in the upper left are in the process of being made, I make them while I am waiting for things to load on the computer, or while watching TV. or whenever LOL. The little wooden birds are a new purchase today. Those and 70.00 in other necessary items :) Good thing I am not in the shopping mood much lately.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing my playtime :)

Just Because--Library Card Notebook
Sometimes when you make so many cards and your creative juices really lend themselves to other projects, I just get in the mood to do other projects, so I decided that I would spend a little time this week doing just that. I saw a plain project in a magazine using a library card to make a little notebook. I thought it was cute just as a plain notebook but I am not a plain kinda a gal so here is what I came up with :) I had a digi template for a library card.:
I did several things on this project I haven't done for awhile, I grabbed out a SU set, (yep, I actually stamped!!! ) I really loved for a long time and used many times in card making. The set is, Bloomin Beautiful, which has the definition, the flower and the bee, I googled Librarian sentiments and thought the Search Engine one was very apropos and added the sentiment to the TH Library clip.
The notebook was created using chipboard, compliments of my Sassy friend, Shirley Swope, to which I added dp, and the library cards which I pretty much covered up. I used my Zutter binding system to add the spiral binding and added enough paper inside so it could actually be used for a while. I figured if my sister wanted to she could use some post it note pads in it later if she wanted to keep using it, the binding rings would work for those pads too. I added a few ribbons and my simple notebook is complete. Since my sister is a Librarian I think she will like it. So my time gazing through magazines was not wasted and I have created a cute project, gotten a couple hours of therapy and had a lot of fun.
Thanks for stopping by and if you like this project, by all means make one for someone you love, or for yourself. The possibilities are endless.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.
Hugs
