Elaine is our hostess this week for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challeng this week and she has chosen for us to have a food themed, sweet project. Candy Canes ARE a food group if you ask my grand kids. Since it has been sooooo hot here, I thought I would make a Christmas card to cool things off, LOL. Here is Sticky!!!! :
Now you have to admit, it doesn't get much sweeter than this. Colored with copic markers and mounted on assorted christmassy colored dp. A red and white checked ribbon and bow, a strand of pearls, ( which I am sure were slimed with candy cane fingers) and and cookie cutter heart in the upper right corner and my Sweet card is complete.
The white band and the balls on the ties were highlighted with tons of white gel pen strokes to give the appearance of yarn fur or tassels.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and see what the DT has created this week, it is amazing.
Mo has been busy busy busy creating tons of new images and they are wonderful and there is a huge variety so be sure to check it out...
Thanks for stopping by.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Ribbons and Lace
Heather has chosen another wonderful challenge for this week's Sassy Cheryl's Challenge which is to use Ribbons and lace. Two of my favorite elements when card making!!!
I just love this little Pencil girl without glasses, and of course she was so much fun to color with copic markers. I thought it would be fun to color her in peach and then I found this cute peach and blue dp in my stash that was just perfect. I used some of my favorite lace bordering a band of peach polka dotted ribbon with a hand tied bow.
The sentiment was cut with my cricut Pagoda cartridge Kanji word feature. isnt it perfect for a little back to school card.( Of course you have to have a freakin magnifying glass to get the right words, I did woman the first two tries lol , they are a shift on a flower image )
My card ended up kind of plain and simple but I think it is perfect that way, the image is the main feature and I love her.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created, I know Cheryl always has some new images in the store and she has really been on a roll lately and this week is no exception. Be sure to check them out!!
We would love to have you play along with the challenge. Every week Sassy Cheryl gives away a 5 dollar gift certificate to her store and with the new/old images I know I always have some on my wish list. LOL
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Colored with copic markers and embellished with computer generated lettering on the left side and a Disney stamp (yeah I do have a "few" LOL ) I added a bottle cap with a circle punched mickey sillhouette. Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Circles
The Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week was chosen by the super talented, Heather, who chose Circles...how fun. Here is what I chose, called Just a Little Hello:
OMG, isn't this just the sweetest little cutie patootie sitting on the steps saying hi to You!!!
I incorporated the circles in the pants, I drew in the polka dots, and the background dp. The embellishments have circle elements, rosey circle cheeks and a circle green button. I think that covers it pretty well. LOL
I just love Sassy Cheryl's images, if you didn't know that already...they are just so fun, fit so many different occassions, and are fun to color to boot...doesn't get much better than that.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT has created and be sure to play along for the chance to win a 5 dollar gift certificate to the Sassy Cheryl Store so you can add to or start your collection of these darling images.

Welcome Baby--Just Inklined
This little line up of baby items, called Baby Line, from Just Inklined is just perfect for a baby card:
I used all the traditional baby colors so it would be non gender specific and could be used for any new baby coming up in the future. I don't know of any right now, but still wanted to make a card using this adorable clothes line of cute baby items.
The images were colored with copic markers, no surprise there, and sponged with distressed ink. The rickrack at the bottom is from My Favorite Things and the Flower was cut with my cricut. Wow. how could I create without my toys LOL.. I could it just woudn't be as much fun :)
I thought the tiny clothes pins added the perfect touch and my little welcome baby card is finished.
Be sure to stop by the Just Inklined Blog to get daily inspiration by the DT as they are a really talented bunch of ladies and the Artists are always coming up with new images so be sure to stop by the store so you don't miss a thing.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--I'm the hostess!!!
I get to be the hostess this week for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and I chose one of my favorite Themes which is Black and White and for a little color a red flower somewhere. I love the look of black and white photos and that is what I wanted my card to portray. Here is what I came up with using Flower Girl:
The image was colored with copic markers, of course, and sponged with distressed ink a black and white bow, a hand made red paper flower in the upper left hand corner and my little flower girl is complete. The flowers on her bodice were high lighted with clear Atyou glitter pen as was her hair and the bows on her shoes.
As I glanced at the other DT cards I was reminded of the telephone game, you know the one where you whisper something in the ear of the person next to you and by the time it gets to the last person it has completely changed. That is kind of what this challenge turned into. I have been kind of out of the loop for a few weeks due to health issues and wedding stuffs but the cards are beautiful, but not the black and white I was looking foward to seeing. For those of you playing in the challenge I would love to see your black and white cards with one contrasting color, I just prefer red LOL.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, It does feel good to do a Mo's Challenge again :)
Hugs,
Cathy

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Paper Ribbon!!!
Leave it to my good friend Judy to really challenge us for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week, you should have heard the questions flying in the DT email group this week LOL. Paper ribbon? I really had fun making this darling baby card with Sassy Cheryl's wonderful baby tower Baby Girl Gift image:
I cut a paper bow with my cricut using my wedding cartridge and then I used some strips of coordinating paper to make streamers or paper for celebration streamers for this joyful card.
Isn't this just the funniest group of babies piled high to celebrate a new beginning of joyful days.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations, after all the questions, I know they will have figured out some spectacular creations for you, they are an amazing bunch. Be sure to also check out the new Digi Store for new images this week.
It feels so good to be back in the swing of things for a couple of weeks. then it will be down again for a couple of weeks while we attend my son's wedding in Tennessee, it is going to be awesome. A real vacation!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

I'm Back!!! Just Inklined Image
Boy, I feel like I have been gone forever, I hate it when I don't have the time or energy to create and share with all of my wonderful friends and followers. I thank each and every one of you for sticking with me.
Here is a super fun image, Rocky, from Just Inklined that I had colored a couple of weeks ago and finally had time to make a card :)
I thought Rocky would be a perfect Get Well Card with the proper sentiment. What do you think? I colored him with copic markers and added glossy accents to his boxing shoes and gloves to look like the real boxing gloves which are sometimes shiny. I have no idea why I think that but ......
The star eyeletes were added to symbolize him getting punched silly from the "bug" , cold, flu, what have you.
A sentiment tag which was created by punching the ends of a long paper strip with a MS corner punch. The sentiments were computer generated.
Thanks for stopping by and I am going to try my best to get a couple of challenge cards done this week.
Have a great week-end.
