I get to be the hostess this week for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and I chose one of my favorite Themes which is Black and White and for a little color a red flower somewhere. I love the look of black and white photos and that is what I wanted my card to portray. Here is what I came up with using Flower Girl:
The image was colored with copic markers, of course, and sponged with distressed ink a black and white bow, a hand made red paper flower in the upper left hand corner and my little flower girl is complete. The flowers on her bodice were high lighted with clear Atyou glitter pen as was her hair and the bows on her shoes.
As I glanced at the other DT cards I was reminded of the telephone game, you know the one where you whisper something in the ear of the person next to you and by the time it gets to the last person it has completely changed. That is kind of what this challenge turned into. I have been kind of out of the loop for a few weeks due to health issues and wedding stuffs but the cards are beautiful, but not the black and white I was looking foward to seeing. For those of you playing in the challenge I would love to see your black and white cards with one contrasting color, I just prefer red LOL.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, It does feel good to do a Mo's Challenge again :)
Hugs,
Cathy

Hi Cathy...I'm so happy to see you...I've missed you BUNCHES!! I have to admit...I was freaking out coloring grey skin...and I was thinking you must be nuts! But...I love the "black & white photo" concept...and will undoubtedly do this again!! Your card is just gorgeous! I am partial to red too!! I'm so happy you're back!! Hugs. Pat
Loving this black & white photo technique...can't wait to give it a try..

Cathy...Love your card! Sounds like a fun challenge, I can't wait to try!:)
Just stunning. I'm with you black and white and always a touch of red.
I was wondering how the DT would interpret this as well. I love black and white images. Our son, although an English Lit major by degree, became a photographer by profession. He has some beautiful black and white images. I would agree that as a contrast color, red is my go-to choice as well. A very nice card, and a great challenge for all!
Hi, Cathy!
This was a real challenge to most of us! I wimped out and used a cat image....I can't sell cards with people with gray skin. LOL!
Yours is lovely, though! That little flower girl is just so pretty.
Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave today [15 Jul 01:00am GMT]. Thanks, Maria
WOW - this is stunning! Your colour work is gorgeous and your design suits this image beautifully. Hugs, Lesley
