Mo's Digital Pencil--Love!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week is Love and I took a little different twist on the usual theme, imagine that :)  I used Johnny Baseball:

To me summer means lots of sports and my girls played softball and my son played baseball, so this cute little guy just caught my fancy.  Omaha just hosted the NCAA College World Series and we have a minor league baseball team for the Kansas City Royals so Baseball is pretty much all around here in the summer.

Colored the image with copics and sponged with TH distress ink on the base shaped image layer.
The Twill tape is stamped with the Take Me out to the Ball Game and baseball stitching and I have a whole roll of it :) The rest of the Sentiments are computer generated.  The star is die cut and attached to a round paper clip to hold the Love sentiment.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and see what they have created for the Love theme, grab a Mo image and play along for a chance to win a 5 dollar gift certificate given for every 25 entries.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week.

Cathy

I absolutely LOVE your twist on my challenge theme, Cathy! Perfect example for interpreting the theme Love in so many ways. Besides that, you used the perfect papers and embellies for your card, it looks so gorgeous!

Oh Cathy!! I love this card! You crack me up...while everyone is making cards with brides and babies...you created something that focuses on loving summer and baseball!! I swear, I really do need to come visit your mind for a few days! I do believe you created the "think outside the box" concept!! Gorgeous designwork...I just noticed the ribbon looks like a baseball! Awesome!! Hugs. Pat

Considering how seriously some people take their baseball, I think it just may fall into the love category. LOL Fantastic job with the image and a fun layout Cathy. Hugs!
