Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Go Masculine!!

Peggy Marsh, Our fearless DT coordinator is the hostess for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenges this month, didn't she do an awesome job.  Today she chose the theme, make a masculine card.  That should be easy enough with all of the new awesome guy images that Mo has come out with lately.  I chose Big Guy Golfing for my card.
I colored the image with my favorite guy colors right now, blue and green.  The main image is matted on a scalloped edge border of SU Blue Bayou.  I have this wondeful blue and green plaid dp that I love for my guy cards.  Are you sick of seeing it yet?
I wanted to add sharp contrasting details without overwhelming the design.  I cut the photo corners from aluminum sheeting using a cuttlebug die and my cuttlebug.  I had a small strip of aluminum and turned it over and used my stylus to write DAD backwards on the aluminum.  Flipped it over and adhered it to the Blue Bayou tag.  It was pretty hard to photograph because it was so shiny.  The letters are narrow lined but the aluminum gave off such a glare it makes them look fat and distorted.  I used my crop-a-dile to punch the holes for the silver brads.  I added a silver brad in each corner of the main image.
You have got to check out the rest of the DT projects for Peggy's wonderful masculine challenge and whle you are at it check out Mo's newest Big Guy Grilling image.  There is also a new Cat Grad, and a super sweet Kissy that would be a perfect card for a little girl to give her Mommy, or a big girl to give her mom.

Sassy Cheryl's Dance Partners...Too Cute!

Isn't this a darling image. It is from Sassy Cheryl's and is called Dance Partners. Too cute!!!

I did some coloring last week and finally decided that I needed to make a couple into cards. When I colored this image I had this dp in mind. I bought it a couple of years ago and have hoarded it because I really love the color and tiny flower detail and I couldn't find any more of it. I cut my last piece to make this card.
The solid color cs is from my LSS and is called Weathered Barn Two by The Paper Company. It is a light rusty peach color that matches the linen look flower dp perfectly.
The Dance Partners were colored with copic markers and sponged with TH dusty rose distress ink. A prima flower with a FUN brad center and this little cutie is ready to make someone's day.
Hope you liked my card tonight. I couldn't believe when I looked tonight and I hadn't posted a card since last Thursday.....It has been a long time since I have been that neglegent but I had no energy left after work. Much better this week :)
See you tomorrow Thursday is Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge day!

Thanks for stopping by. If my blog post looks different Blogger was being a butt tonight. I had to revert back to an old version to be able to post a picture to my blogpost...what's up with that
:(

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.

WooHoo it's Tuesday that means a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge!!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge hostess this week is the very talented Judy.  She chose the theme white on white.  The only color could be on the main image.  I thought this challenge was quite fun.  What do you think?

Well, you all know that I love Bears and I love Americana so this was a perfect image for me to use. The image is called Triple Star Bear.
The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with faded jeans Tim Holtz distress ink around the outside edges .
The main image was mounted on a plain white matt.  The larger card base was run through the cuttlebug using the Stars embossing folder.  I had run a strip of white through the cuttlebug using the lattice embossing folder.  I then punched the lattice piece using my MS double scalloped flower border punch and placed it under the main image horizontally.  I added a white grosgrain ribbon tied around the middle of the card.
The flower was so much fun to create.  I used a new huge 5 pedal flower punch by EK Express to punch a flower from a white cs that had been run through the dotted swiss cuttlebug folder.  The MS medallion punch was used for the next white layer and then a tiny white heart shaped button was added to the center of the flower.
The final touch was to add a tiny dot of Stickles white mist paint to the center of each embossed star.  3 white brads in the corners and this adorable Triple Star Bear is ready to Celebrate.
Be sure you check out the rest of the DT creations.  I know they will have some truly inspirational and try to make time to play along, it is so much fun and we really love to have you play along, besides you can win a gift certificate from Sassy Cheryl's!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge---Yippeeee it's Thursday!!!

Two awesome things happen on Thursday.  It is Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge day and it is my friday at work. ( Decoded to mean...my days off are Friday and Saturday. )  On to the important stuff!!
I absolutely LOVE this image called My Friend:

Doesn't this just make you go AWWWWWwwww!!!!  A little puppy trying to get the attention of the little girl.  Do you see the little rascal under the gate?  You can double click the image for a close up and personal view.
The challenge hostess this week is our Fearless DT coordinator, The Peggy Marsh.  Peggy chose a 3-2-1 challenge.  3 DP, 2 buttons or brads, and one ribbon.  I was pretty good (for me) and only strayed from the challenge by adding a flower on top of the ribbon but it is also my third dp so it had to be there!!!  That's my story and I am sticking to it.  (it's true too)
I loved coloring this image called My Friend, and look I even had a stamp with that sentiment, added bonus!!!
Two things I wanted in this image were a white washed looking fence and for the little girl to have red hair.  Don't ask me why but usually when I see an image I just know what colors I want to use. This darling image just screams Spring!!!  The daffodils, the cute dress and light weight sweater, green grass and puppies!!  I really like the way this card turned out.  I put it on the shelf above my laptop where I can see it all the time.
I guess I should add, everything was colored with copic markers...are you shocked LOL!!!  The edges were sponged with  Tim Holtz distress ink broken china.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure you stop by the rest of the DT's blogs to see the wonderful cards they came up for Peggy's awesome challenge.

Artistic Outpost card for the new Release

The Artistic Outpost, Wonderland Collage stamps are available as of yesterday and they are awesome.  I love all of the Artistic Outpost stamp plates, but this new release is one of my favorites.  As amazing as it sounds for a person who has been a reader all of her life, I have never read Alice in Wonderland, nor have I seen the movies.  I know some of the quotes and the gist of the story just because we all do.  Here is my second card created for the new release:  Alice in the Looking Glass is the Classic..........:

Alice in the Looking Glass was so much fun to color.  I tried to keep it soft and vintage with a modern touch.  The main image was cut out around the outside edge and mounted on a panel that I had punched with the beautiful double loop corner and border punch set from Martha Stewart.
Each layer was mounted on white cs to highlight each layer.  The dp are both from the My Mind's Eye Delightful paper pack.
A dark pink gem was added to the sentiment added to the main image.  A medium half pearl was added to the top of the crown.  3 medium half pearls were added to the upper left corner to add a touch of elegance and a dainty pink sheer ribbon was tied around the bottom of the main image.
If you like the Classic Children's stories you will love this set and the possibilities are endless.

Be certain that you stop by the DT members blogs to check out their awesome creations if you haven't already and the store is open 24-7 for your convenience.

These could belong to me :)

Mo's Digital Pencil has come out with a series of images called "Big Guy" and they are so cute and funny too.  When I first saw this image I knew what I had to do.  Living in the midwest summers bring "farmer tans" you know when guys wear T-shirts so they tan faces, and arms from mid bicep down!!! Yep, that's the image.  Don't get me wrong farmers shouldn't go bear chested as it is too much sun exposure and skin cancer is a real threat but this image is still funny!!!

I named my card "It Happens" because this could be my husband and dog.  The dog doesn't know any better, the human does LMBO.
I don't know why I couldn't envision this colored differently the first time but I just had to do it this way, just once.
Look at that smile, on the human and dog and the earphones...Way cool Dude!!!
The Big Guy series is so awesome and are perfect for that husband, brother, son, father, or grandfather.  Check them out in the Mo's Digital Pencil Store.

Thanks for stopping by.  Just had to share this with you.

Artistic Outpost New Release Sneak Peek #1

Who doesn't love a good story with a lot of fantasy and a hint of quirk? Ok, so with Alice in Wonderland, you get more than a hint of quirk, you get a whole load of zany with a hint of logician philosophy.

I love the White Rabbit image with the clocks and flowers.  Just the style of vintage image I love to color.

Artistic Outpost has pulled together some of the most zany iconic images from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, to bring to you a fun collaged set of Alice-themed stamps.

This collection features unique images including the White Queen and the Dodo characters as well as an ATC sized White Rabbit collag

This set is available in unmounted sheets and mounted on EZMount cling foam with indexed storage sheet.
We can't wait to see what you create,
