Happy Tuesday, time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and our hostess is once again the super talented Judy who always comes up with the most fun challenges doesn't she?!? Her theme is Snowmen and Die Cuts, and I call it "Snowmen to Die For"!!! Here is my card using Three Funny Snowmen :
OMG aren't these the cutest snowmen you ever saw?????I love the expression on all of Sassy Cheryl's images...they are just so fun. The trees are some that my wonderful friend, Peggy Marsh, let me cut using her Sizzix die when I got the pleasure of spending a wonderful crafting week-end at her house last year. What a wonderful reminder this card making was of that week-end :)
The image was colored with copic markers and then so you could see the trees I fussy cut the top part of the snowmen images so you could see the dp the trees were cut from.
I also punched snowflakes with a MS punch, so add to my snowman scene. I added the cute ticket sentiment which fit the scene perfectly. I did airbrush the sky and ground :)
This is the final Challenge for 2011 so take your time and play along, It will be a two week Challenge and the random winner will be chosen at the end of the two weeks. Don't hold me to that, go by what Peggy says on the Challenge blog :)
Be sure to stop by and see what the rest of the DT has to show you over on the Challenge Blog and play along, can't wait to see all of your snowman creations. Have I mentioned lately I collect snowmen?!?
I absolutely love the new line of kids Sassy Cheryl has created this year and can't wait to see what new additions we will have for the new year. Thanks for the Wonderful year of wonderful images to play with Cheryl. If you haven't seen them stop by the store and check them out.
Have a wonderful creative day, Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Cathy

I have been busy making gifts!!!!!
Have I mentioned that sometimes I hate blogger!!!! I just posted this long post with many pictures of all of my projects and at the very end I hit a button and nothing had saved and the whole thing disappeared......Damn!!!! Here we go again. Here are the Christmas Presents I have been working on:
This is a gift box of note cards for my MIL who still sends snail mail. The cards are 4x4.
My next project is for my new Daughter in Law Mindy to help her know the birthdays of her "new" family. I made her a Birthday book. I got the idea for the book as well as the templates for the calendar pages from my friend and fellow DT member Debbie, thanks so much for your help hon L:).
The book was cut from chipboard using my cricut and the tags and all the page covers were also cut with the cricut, It took me about 5 hours to assemble the entire book. I think it was worth it, what do you think?
The tags have the first hald of the month on one side of the tag and the other half on the back. The tags are held in place with a band of ribbon which was placed just under one of the scallops and then I ran it upward and punched through the ribbon and page with my crop o dile and secured it with a large eyelette. I think it is tight enough to hold the tab in place. I guess Mindy will let me know if is is a PITA. LOL
I made frames for some of my grand children and made them with their interests in mind. Here you go: First is Ashlee's:
Ashlee is a Senior this year and a cheerleader so I made this in her school colors.
Next is one for her 15 year old Sister Cailyn who loves Softball and I think it may just get her a college scholarship....
Cailyn's school colors are Black and Red. I had to add a bow as she is a beautiful young lady.
Their little sister Alexa is enjoying her first year in competative dance and from what I hear she loves it. I can't wait to hear all about it over Christmas!!! Here is Alexa's frame:
My next little dancer frame is for Bailey who is 4 and lives in Omaha, so I have gotten to see her dance class a time or two when her mom had to work and it was my job to get her to class :) She really enjoys it and although she never says anything she takes it all in and does everything.
I also made a frame for Mindy for picture from their honeymoon which they took in Hawaii:
I also made a christmas frame just in case I needed a gift...
I used some dp with the lamp post already on it and cut out the sleigh and pine cone and branch with my cricut. pretty eaasy to make a cool frame.
I have also been making some Word Collage things ( for lack of a better word ) this one is on a square wood base from Michael's which I painted brown and then the vinyl would not stick to the paint so I had to cover the paint with paper LOL, some of my projects have not run as smoothly as they could.
The word collage is cut out from vinyl and now that I have cricut vinyl it works great but this one is made with another brand of thinner cheaper vinyl that didn't come off right and I had to transfer half of the letter manually LOL, not fun and it took forever.
Well, I also made 4 of the fleece bolo style scarves but haven't photographed them so I will spare you.
See you all in a day or two, still have some gifts to wrap and then I have got some serious cleaning to do and I still have work to do.
Hugs,
Cathy

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--The Fabric of our Lives
The Challenge this week at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge hosted by Dorcas is to add fabric...easy you say...well kinda LOL. Here is my card...note no Christmas card...already tired or them :)
I chose this adorable image called, Make a Wish, and colored her in pinks and chose pink cs to show her off. The image was colored with copic markers and cut out with a spellbinder die and airbrushed while still in the die.
I added two doiles behind the image to set it off against the pink cs. I added 3 pearls in each upper corner.
To make my fabric flower I used my cricut and that requires the Heat and bond which you iron onto the fabric you want to cut, and then just cut out like you would paper. Pretty cool huh. I cut the pink cotton gingham in 2 inch and 1 and a half inch flowers and added a gold rimmed pearl to finish my double band of pink gingham ribbon.
Have I mentioned I love my toys :)
Be sure to see what other fabric embellishments the other DT members came up with to show you, I can't wait.
Be sure to stop by the Mo's Digital Pencil Store and see the new images she has come up with for you to purchase, after all it is Christmas. My dog always buys me the best Christmas presents LOL, He always knows exactly what I want, how does he know ?!?
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Time for a Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--White on White!!!
The hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, is my good friend and so talented DT member Judy affectionately known as JDK, and the theme is White on White. This is always such an elegant look and I hope I came close to making a beautiful card:
The Jumpin Jack Santa, was colored with copic markers and cut out to sit on the embossed white cs. I ran the cs through the cuttlebug and this particular folder has the negative embossed finish for the words, kinda cool huh!!!
I added some MS snowflakes, in white of course, and I added a clear gem to the center of each, for a little extra dazzle to the card. A pretty white satin ribbon and bow and my Happy Snowman card is complete . Did I mention I got to play with my white gel pen for the beard, I love winter when I get to play with my white gel pen for beards and stocking caps and muffs, LOL .
To answer a question from last week, it is a plain white gel pen, no glitter pen. The glittery look probably comes from the camera flash off the pen strokes.
Isn't this a fun challenge? Be sure to check out the Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT has to show you and while you are there, go to the store and grab an image or two from the Sassy Cheryl Store and play along with the Challenge.
The next couple of weeks are going to be crazy busy with Christmas for everyone and I hope those of you who can will continue to play along with us, we will be here except for Christmas week when we will be taking a break.
There are so not enough days left until Christmas LOl.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day!!!

Beautiful Snowy Owl--Just Inklined
I love snow scenes, although I don't necessarily love snow LOL. Just Inklined has a new image that really grabbed me and I had to have it as soon as I saw it and had to color it as soon as I had it....Here is Snowy Owl:
I hope I did this majestic bird justice. I wanted to keep the image as natural looking as possible so colored with copics and kept mostly neutral whites, beige, blue and silver.
I added a little green for the ever green trees but kept it to a minimum as in the tree lines where this gorgeous bird resides the snow is heavy which requires his white feathers.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by the Justlined.com shop to see the rest of the beautiful Christmas inages and scenes that would make the most beautiful cards or even framed works and because they are digital you could so easily do it!!!
Not sure I like the sun I tried to make look like it was over cast with the clouds and haze, so it may still get covered with a beautiful flower spray of some sort, we'll see.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Banners or Tags
Are you ready for another wonderful Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge by our wonderful hostesss Dorcas? The theme this week is, banners or tags. I chose banners and it was so much fun to create this fun card with this darling image, called Santa's Hat :
Isn't he, called Santa's Hat, just the sweetest little guy waiting for Santa? I colored him with copic markers and airbrushed the edge softly with blue for that nighttime feel. I love to color the fur on caps with my white gel pen, my favorite part of Christmas coloring I think LOL.
I love the red and white bakers twine which almost looks like candy cane colors wrapped around the panel of green and red polka dots and I left the top of the panel a little taller to have a white background for my banner which was cut out with my cricut.
I love that I could let the machine cut out the NOEL in the banner so perfectly in the plaid banners. I added a piece of the bakers twine to string the banner across the top of the card to tie it all together. I cut a red and white paper clip in half for the two candy canes :)
Be sure to stop by the Mo's DT. Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the team has to show you, I know it will be some beautiful stuff.
We love to have you all play along in the challenges with us and love to see the beautiful cards you create. Be sure to drop by the store and see the wonderful Christmas images Mo has in case you are still creating your Christmas cards LOL. I know I am :).
Thanks for stopping by my little piece of cyberspace and have a wonderful creative day.

Time for a Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Santa!!!
Judy is the super talented hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and has chosen the theme, Santas. I just had to use Cowboy Santa!!!:
I just love this fun image. The Ultimate Santa Clause is coming to Town LOL. Thank you so much Terri for requesting this image and to Cheryl for always listening to requests and coming up with this awesome image!!!!
I colored him with copic markers and cut him out with a SU top note die and mounted that on a kraft cs I softened a little by rounding the corners. The dp is some I have had in my stash for awhile and always use for my sheriff and law images, the sayings are just so cute.
A few buttons tied with bakers twine and a red checked bow with a Tim Holtz token which I consider my find of the year, LOL. It 's the little things :)
Be sure to stop by and check out the rest of the DT creations, I can't wait to see them myself. I haven't had a chance to sneak a peek LOL. While you are there, check out the challenge and play along, we have been so thrilled so many of you are playing along and know that the holidays will probably slow participation a little. Be sure to drop by the Sassy Cheryl's Store and see what new creations she has come up with this week .
Thanks for stopping by and have a great, creative day,.

Just Inklined Blog Hop--Blue Christmas!!
Are you ready for a wonderful Blog Hop with Just Inklined Stamps? Jeni is our wonderful Hostess with the mostess this month and has chosen the theme, Blue Christmas. If you came here from Karen''s blog you are in the right spot, if not start over at Jeni's as you won't want to miss a single blog along the way. Here is the card I created for you:
I love candles and non-traditional colors so this was easy for me. I thought adding lots of sparkly ribbons and leaves added a lot to the bouquet as that is how I would decorate it and I am not much of a sparkly type of person LOL.
The image, called Christmas Candle, is one of many new Christmas images created this season and available in the Just Inklined Store where you can now pay with PayPal which is my payment preference :) when making online payments anywhere.
The next stop along your way is the super talented Heidy, and I know she will have a wonderful creation to wow your socks off.
Thanks for stopping by and Have a Wonderful Holiday Season.

Just Inklined Christmas Mail
I love this Robin on a Post Box with snow on the top from Just Inklined which is so perfect for Christmas Cards:
The image was colored with copic markers and arranged on an assortment of Christmas dp. I added a trio of green brads and red I-Rock gems which add just the right amount of sparkle to the Holiday card.
The label and sentiment were cut out with my cricut. Have I mentioned lately, I love my cricut LOL.
There are lots of new images in the Christmas section at Just Inklined so be sure to drop by the new store and check them out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--The Great Outdoors
The Hostess this week for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge is one of the very talented Design Team Leaders, Dorcas who chose the theme, The Great Outdoors. You all know me and know I always tend to stretch the boundaries of the theme just a tad but I think this little sweetie named Snow Day is perfect:
http://digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.com/2011/11/snow-day.html
The image was colored with copic markers. I love the colors are so soft and can be either a little girl or boy but I am thinking with the ruffles of fur it is a girl. She is having so much fun playing in the new fallen snow....Kids really enjoy it much more than us older folk!!!
I loved this Bo Bunny Blitzen dp with the sign and swirls of snow and snowflakes it was just made for this little sweetie. I cut the Let It Snow letters with my cricut.
I was in a hurry after having company all week-end to get my card completed and had the image all colored and decided to add some stickles to the cuffs, after adding it to one I didn't like it. When I went to wipe it off, I used a cloth with blender fluid on it....yeah I know, duh,.............so I cut out the image and colored over the grey smear with white gel pen...if you can find the smear I will send you the card..... So this little darling is popped up on sponge mounting squares. The snow is my styrofoam snow and the snow on the sign is stickles.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for the Great Outdoors, I can 't wait to see. A random winner is always chosen from the entrants in the weekly challenge and the winner is given a Gift Certificate to Mo's Store, what a great present to yourself that would be huh!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day!!!

Sassy Cheryl's Winter Challenge
My sweet friend, Pat, is the hostess this week for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, and has chosen the theme, Winter. I love all the new images Sassy Cheryl has been creating for the fall and winter, and had so much fun choosing one. I chose, Lucy Lou Princess on Skates:
The image is just the cutest and I love that little smirk, it is definitely Sassy. The image was colored with copic markers and I added styrofoam snow and Martha Stewart glitter ice for the skating pond.
The snowflakes are MS punches with MS glitter added so they sparkled like real snow flakes. A green polka dot bow and a enamel ball ornament finish out my Winter Challenge card.
Be sure to play along in the Sassy Challenge and who knows you may win a 5 dollar gift card just in time for Christmas...presents for you!!! added bonus. We loved having so many of you play along in the challenge this week, we had well over 100 entries...WOW We love it!!!!
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created for your viewing pleasure and drop by their blogs and leave them a little love, it is always appreciated :)
Have a wonderful creative day.

Mo's Digital Pencil--Fantasy?
I love the theme this week by my sweet friend Pat, who chose the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge theme of Fairies, Elves, Santa, or Snowman. I hope that also includes Dwarves. I kind of took it to mean all fantasy characters, my favorite!!! Here is my choice and let the challenge police decide...I am such a rebel:
I LOVE the dwarves Mo created for her Snow White story line and although there are only a few so far they are awesome. This is Dwarf 4 and isn't he just the gruffest looking little guy with his pipe and braided beard.
I colored him with copics and sponged with distressed inks. Added an assortment of dp scattered behind with a pretty frame, two corner brackets, a rolled rose and a double tied tan bow in the upper left corner.
This was so much fun to create and one of these days the rest of the guys are going to make their appearance too!!!
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT has to show you and leave them some love and then get back to the family and have that pie that is waiting for you. Hope you all have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving. I am thankful to be spending mine with family and friends, hope you get to do the same!!! On a selfish note I am thankful for the wonderful illustrators such as Mo who create such wonderful digital images so I get to color until my heart and brain are content, Thank you!!!
Thanks for stopping by,

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge
Well, it is time for the big reveal of the images that each of the DT members created for the Stump the Boss Challenge last week. I think Sassy Cheryl got my card right in her guesses. My card was Whoops!!!:
Gee, I wonder how she knew it was my card?!?
I had a lot of fun creating the card, using Sally and her favorite blankie, for this week's challenge as my kids had blankets when they were little, they all had satin edging and I repaired that edging until it was thead bear LOL. So I just had to use this image as soon as I saw it:
Back to my normal way of coloring, I used copics to color and airbrushed around the outside edge. The faux stitching was done by hand. I added a blue polka dot BoBunny layer behind the main image and a cute Whimsey layer with all the wonderful words that are so girly. A border cut with a MS punch and a yellow polka dot bow a trio of yellow buttons and my security card is complete.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and play along in the challenge. We are thrilled to see so many of you playing in the challenges and while you do not have to use a Sassy Cheryl's image you get two entries in the drawing for the 5.00 gift card if you do.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day!!!

Baby Girl Brag Book
Well, I finished my sample brag books. Thought I would give you a peek and see what you thought. Here is the Baby Girl Brag Book:
I used my cricut to cut the clothes line of SVG images I purchased. The sweet is from a cricut cartridge and the paper roses I made. Aren't the tiny clothes pins too cute!!! I think the cover turned out cute!
The photo mount on the left page you would just add the photo on top but the one on the right is a double mount where you would add the photo between two layers from the top, which is hard to see in the photo. The rounded top is where you would slide the photo in by gently opening it to slide the photo in and the style accommodates a rectagle photo.
The final spread could be used for an oval photo which you would have to cut and then the one on the right you could mount a rectangle photo and have a nice swirley border and pretty pink double flower.
Hobby Lobby had pink Cinch binding rings which I loved, they are a little bigger than I would have thought to buy originally but I think they are fine. I will tie ribbon on the binding rings to finish it and it will be done.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great creative day.

Getting Started on Christmas Cards--Just Inklined
Just Inklined has some wonderful Christmas images for the holidays and I chose this beautiful Fireplace image called, Hanging the Stockings, for my holiday card. I need to get busy to get any cards made in time to get them sent out LOL.
I loved coloring the image with copic markers and sponging with distress inks. The dp is a Christmas asst. packet I found at Michael's a few weeks ago on sale and I mounted the image on SU cs.
Last week I found this wonderful package of Tim Holtz Christmas Muse Tokens and fell in love with them so added it to the plaid bow. A couple of fancy photo corners, a few red pearls and this Happy Holidays card is ready to send or the holidays.
Be sure to check out the store and see all the new and old Christmas images and don't blame me if you drop a bundle...there are a ton of must have images for the serious, fun and all the in between cards you need to make.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

BabyBoy Simple Brag Book
I have been working on some simple Brag Books and thought I would show you what I had been doing. These are just samples for my neice who is a photographer in her spare time, which she has none of, but photography is her second career which she is wonderful at.
In trying to keep them simple and affordable I hope I have not gone too far on the simple side, let me know: All suggestions are welcome LOL.
These are 4X6 and some will be 5X7 to allow for larger or multiple pictures on them. I am also making picture frames which I will show you in the next day or two as time allows. I am almost finished with the baby girl brag book.
They are made from chip board inserts and covered with dp and assembled with my zutter spiral binder thing a ma jiggy,...can't find the exact name right now :)
I used my Cricut Expression to cut the die cut pieces and you know I am having a ball :) The 100% Boy and Oh Boy are from the Boys will be Boys Cartridge and the Cloud and a few other pieces you will see later are a SVG file I bought and used with my Sure Cuts a Lot software and Cricut. Rather than buy a whole cartridge for a few girl pieces I paid 4.98 and used the software....much better :) I hope the Provo Craft Police aren't reading this!!!
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great day and do something creative!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Winter
Our super talented DT sister, Pat, has another wonderful Challenge this week for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and the theme is Winter. I can't say I love the snow that comes with the season but I love to color the images and the beauty of the season as I view it from the comfort of my house LOL. I chose this adorable Llapso Apso with the Christmas hat for my Winter image:
The beautiful image was colored with copic markers and then sponged with distressed ink.
I then mounted it on a gorgeous die cut frame I made with my cricut. I have been making frames and brag books and thought this was the perfect background for this happy Seasonal image. I searched all over the shop for the image and while I found the dog alone, not the one with the Christmas hat, Mo will add it to the store when I mention it to her.
I thought the blues with just the pop of red in the poinsettia flower was just the perfect colors for this nice Christmas Pooch.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT has to show you for the Winter Challenge. While you are at it, drop by the store and grab some Mo images and play along in the Challenge, we love to see what you create !!!!

Are you ready for a Super Fun Sassy Cheryl Challenge?????
The Challenge this week at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is called Stump the Boss. We did it so well last year we decided it would be fun to let Sassy Cheryl try to redeem herself this year. I think it is a hopeless cause and after seeing the cards...she doesn't have a snowballs chance in H....ll !!!!!!!
Here is the card I created:
Well, maybe I created this darling card, using My Little Flower Girl and maybe I didn't, do you think it looks like my style? Do you think Cheryl will think I created this card?
Don't you think these are just the cutest images in the world right now? Be sure to grab an image and play along in the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week with the theme of Anything Goes.
Here is a picture of the collage our super talented Team member Dawn put together. Can you pick the image the Design Team member created?
If you could pick the DT images you are better than I LOL. But isn't it fun. In a few days we will be posting our own cards so you will know :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Are you dying of boredom yet. if not here is another Digital Image.
I have been working on some Brag Books and in the process of a Christmas one got sidetracked and made this page...how did that happen LOL. I love Vintage and this layout just lent itself too keeping going so I ran with it. I may end up being the back cover of the brag book, who knows. Anyway I like it!!!:
I didn't realize it would show up without a border but it is 5X7 as that is the size of the brag book. I love it. and I love playing with all the elements of the My Memories software. So fun to not have to search the internet for all the graphics you want to use and then edit them and then thrown them into your project, the software does it all for you.
Thanks for stopping by, Now I have to go earn my crafting money :)
Hugs,
Cathy

One more Digital Page to show you LOL!!!
I am really having fun with the My Memories Digital Software and while I said I am not big into scrapbooking I love editing pictures and creating stuffs, so here is something else I played with tonight.
I am working on the concept of a subtle photo in the background for some baby brag books I am working on for a business project I an working on. Needed a subject to try it out on and knew that my daughter would not mind if I used Bailey for this and I had a pix handy. If she minds I will soon find out. :)
Not sure about the writing but I love the way the picture turned out. Took me a long time to erase the background though so it didn't show through....I am a messer, yes I am...
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
Gotta go to bed now so I can get something done tomorrow :)

Venturing into a new Rhelm--Digital Scrapbooking
I have kind of discovered digital scrapbooking but use it in a different sort of way. I plan to use it to make Memory books and Virtual Cards as well as the digital scrapbooking. Here are a couple of projects I have worked on this week-end.
I am going to incorporate my Cricut to make lettering to go with the software to add a different dimension to the standard digital scrapbooking version so we will see how these gifts are received LOL. Envision a palm tree and hula girl on this page, I haven't gotten them cut out yet :)
The first page is an easy Honeymooon page I made for my son and his new bride who got married in August and honeymooned in Hawaii:
I also worked on a Christmas card using some free or kits available from the download site, there are some awesome kits available and even if they are not free they are very reasonably priced. What do you think:
I am working on a mini album that is coming together nicely, show you that in a few days, it is going to take a little bit of time, as it will require a lot of embellishments and assembly, as it is 5 pages front and back.
I forgot to mention the software I used was My Memories Digital Scrapbook Software.
Let me know what you think of my first attempts at digital scrapbooking :) Be kind!!!
Hugs,
Cathy

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Fancy Folds
What a fun Challenge our super talented Pat came up with for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week--Fancy Folds. I used this fold a couple of years ago and loved it...but I kind of forgot about it until this challenge and I wanted to use it for these images:
The fold is called a Shutter Tri-Fold and this particular version is a full card front . The creator of the template is Bonnie Szwalkiewicz and the link to the post and template I followed is here. I colored the Carolers Three with copics and added styrofoam snow and bakers twine before I mounted it on Bo Bunny Christmas dp. For the narrow tri fold sections I used other portions I used the reverse side of the dp for the blue section onto which I have tied a piece of lace and more bakers twine. A trio of buttons are on the blue middle section.
On the light dp sections top and bottom I added paper roses . My Chimney Sweep which was also colored with copics and then cut out in a more rounded style to go on the very right side of the card. Here is a close up of the Chimney Sweep:
Isn't he just the most adorable little guy. I loved coloring him. I see a few Christmas Cards with him on them !!!!
Be sure to stop by the Mo's Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT chose for their Fancy Folds...I can't wait to see !!! Stop by the store and pick up some new images and play along with the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Tuesday is Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Day--Ready Set Emboss!!!
My good friend, Peggy, is the hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and chose a theme I often over look, Embossing. Here is what I came up with using another of Sassy Cheryl's new Christmas images, Lucy Lou hanging Star, they are just too fun to pass up:
I thought about using several different embossing folders an then I remembered this beautiful Christmas tree and thought it would be so fun to have Lucy Lou swing on her star just above this beautiful tree. reminds me of my house when the kids were little LOL.
I colored Lucy Lou with copics and then fussy cut her out and mounted her on 3 layers of mounting squares to look like she could be swinging dangerously close to the beautifully decorated Christmas tree.
The Christmas Embossing folder is Sizzix and I airbrushed it with Atyou Glitter pens in Green and Gold. I am sure you can't see the glitter in the photo but it is there and the shimmer is gorgeous.
The tree was mounted a layer of red riding hood cs and a red ribbon ties the layers together. The cracked paint effect of the christmas tree dp is perfect for this little angel and her star to Wish you a Merry Christmas. I added some of my new favorite embellishment, the gold corners, which go so beautifully with the gold threads in the red Christmas ribbons.
Be sure to stop by the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT has to show you and play along, you can use any kind of embossing you want on our card.
Sassy Cheryl has been busy creating the most fun Sally, Polly and Noah images, you just have to stop by the Store and check them out. After your shopping trip take a few minutes to play along with the challenge and you could win a 5 dollar Gift Certificate next week just by entering the challenge!!!

Just Inklined BlogHop--Christmas Packaging
Welcome to the November Just Inklined Blog Hop. You should have arrived here from the super talented Karen's Blog, wasn't her creation awesome? I decided to use the 3 Christmas Baubles to make a beautiful sparkly tag for a set of tiny christmas balls I am giving to my son and his new wife for their home this Christmas.
The image was colored with copic markers and attached to a white glitter board cut into the shape of a tag. It was then airbrushed around the edges in blue. In keeping with the gold tones of the gold of the ball container and the corners and bow I added gold glitter pen lines and gold highlights to the baubles. Simple but elegant tag, perfect for their gift.
The next stop along your Hop is back to Heidy who is the Hostess of our Hop this month, and wasn't her theme awesome!!! Her creation is wonderful and I can't wait to give it a try, but before I do, I will have to make a trip to the Just Inklined Store which is now made even easier for me since I prefer to pay with PayPal and now I can with the new store, check it out here,

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Thanks
Are you ready for another fun challenge for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week? Our super talented hostess, Pat, has chosen the theme, Thanks and I chose Kisses to express my Thanks:
Isn't she just the sweetest little Kissey face? I colored her with copic markers and for once I didn't sponge around the outside...what 's up with that??? I wanted to keep the colors and card soft...it will last a week or two.
I added a couple of pink photo corners under the corners instead of on top for just a hint of color. The teal dp underneath holds the pearl swirl and I wanted to keep it plain to not detract from the pearls.
I added a band of pearls on a lace ribbon with roses on the left side and a fancy spellbinder Thank you label with rose and a pink gem as my finishing touch.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created for your inspiration, I know you will love them. As always Mo has been busy creating even more new images in the shop so be sure to stop by and take a look and play along with us in the challenge, we love to have you!!! :)

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Thank You!!!
I think my dear friend, Pat, chose a wonderful challenge theme for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge of, Thank you. I also think the new Noah with Tweety and Waldo is just perfect to say Thank you for always being there!!!
Isn't Noah just the cutest little friend any bird or person could have. I colored him with copics and mounted him on a red oval. I rounded the corners of the colored layer and sewed it to the red oval.
The main orange swirley dp purchased several months ago from Michaels was perfect for this little fall dressed character. I needed to add my Thank you sentiment and thought it would be fun to add a little front end loaded lifting the Thank you disk charm tied with bakers twine is a fun touch.
The double loop orange checked ribbon with a red button tied in the center and my Thanks for Everything card is complete.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and see what the other DT members have chosen for the Challenge. Sassy Cheryl has probably been busy adding new images to the shop so be sure to drop by and check them out, pick up an image or two, color them up and join in the challenge for this week. Who doesn't need a Thank you card or two laying around?!?

Happy Halloween--Not so Scarey Style
I thought I would share a cute image from Just Inklined with you to celebrate Halloween today!!!
I used some fun Halloween saying dp as a backdrop for this cute Scarecrow Not from Just Inklined. I love the MS goo border punch which I embellished with orange stickles to accentuate the goo.
A narrow band or black ribbon on the goo band in the middle adds a little more seasonal fun without detracting from the image and the busyness of the dp. I added a glittery corner cobweb from Michaels in orange and a large orange button tied into the black ribbon on the center goo band.
Hoping you all have a wonderful Halloween and have a safe a fun time with the kids.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Playing with Word Collage Cricut Cartridge--Fun Fun
I am trying to get a head start on some Christmas gifts and also play with my crafting toys. Playing with my toys being as important as the gifts...LOL. I love the look of the new Word Collage Plaques you see all over and the Vinyl wall decor which was one of the reasons I bought my Cricut Expression in the first place. Here is what I made yesterday:
The cartridge shows this as a 5.5 inch phrase but I made it 9 inches long. It is made from the adhesive backed vinyl. I didn't want to mount it onto a plain colored background or placque so went to my LSS and they had this wonderful piece of CS I thought would be awesome for my plaque. I had mounted the ds onto a piece of 4X9 cardboard which I save for this very purpose. I then transferred the vinyl phrase to the cs using the transfer paper and carefully peeled it off and walla my awesome Vino project for my SIL who has a wine themed kitchen.
I had some corkboard I am mounting this piece onto, but I just got it cut tonight. I will then mount that onto a piece of balsa wood for stability and figure out the hanging technique, When I get it all done I will show you the completed project. Should only take another day or two :)
Let me know what you think. Have a great day!!!
Hugs,
Cathy
