Designing Divas Second Blog Hop--Oldies But Goodies!

Happy Wednesday to you!  Where does the time go, it is already time for the monthly Designing Divas Blog Hop.  The continueing theme is "Oldies But Goodies"  which means we are to use something from our stash that we have not used in at least 6 months.   If you arrived here from  Shelly Schmidt 's Blog you are in the right place,  If you did not you should go back to Brenda Turner 's blog as she is first on the Blog Hop list this month and I know you don't want to miss a single stop along the way!

The butterfly oval image was created at least a year ago and I never used it, until now.  I butterfly was air brushed and then the entire die cut was covered with Crystal Effects.  I love the doilies that are so popular right now, so decided to mount my pretty butterfly on a circle doile.  The brownish right side panel is a faux marble piece I made probably 2 years ago and the corner of the panel was stamped and embossed with a wonderful lace stamp from Artistic Outpost, which is also where the Butterfly is from.  The Butterfly set is called Happiness.
I added a pearl and rose swirl for a touch of elegance and at the top of the swirl I added a paper rose I created.  The Rose was created from a 2.5 in square piece of cs at least last summer.  I love to create my own flowers, mainly because I am cheap but I really do like the feeling of creating beautiful things myself.

The final touch was the ribbon onto which I slipped a SU ribbon slide that I got when I was a SU demo and I left that at least 3 years ago. Okay, I admit I hoard those precious slides as I can't image the day when I run out of them. The heart is also from at least a year ago although they still sell them at Michael's.
It is so much fun to dig around in my stash and find the hidden treasures I just knew I would use some day.

The next stop on your travels through the Blog Hop is: Angie Williams ,  You won't want to miss seeing what she has created for your viewing pleasure.

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by.

Cathy
Most of the items on my card this month far exceed the 6 month time frame LOL.  I created a rather Vintage ladies card today:

This looks great with all your beautiful embellies! I love looking at all your creations! Hope to make a trip to Omaha soon. I haven't seen the inside of my son's new house yet!
