Welcome Back, did you enjoy your little break? Time for a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and we have a fun one this week, brought to you by the wonderfully talented Franz, who chose the theme Lace and Ribbons. I chose Fifi, one of the little ballerinas:
I wanted to keep the colors soft and yellow is soft to me :). I used some vintage dp I had in my stash and added a band of vintage lace on the left side, a yellow grosgrain ribbon at the bottom, and a lace doile under the upper right corner of the main image. A string of faux pearls was draped on the card to add another touch of elegance.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created for your viewing pleasure and stop by the Mo's Digital Pencil Store and grab a couple of new images and play along in the challenge. For every 25 entries Mo gives away a prize, how awesome is that!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Funny Family Portrait Framed LOL
Today I found a picture that I had printed and then I found a frame when I was cleaning off my sewing table so I decided to create this collage photo frame for it. I added a lot of fun elements to go along with the theme.
The photo was taken by my niece, Tiffany Sellers, who is a phenomenal photographer. She had not told us to get ready for the photo yet, obviously but decided to take a"before" shot and I am so glad that she did, I absolutely love it. The best photo I think she could have taken to capture the essence of our fun loving family. The metal tag at the top of the frame says it all: Capture Life's Moments
I have a spare bedroom in my house that I have decorated in all black and white with red accents, so that is the reason for the color choices. All of the photos in the room are black and white photos and the frames are black. The lamp has a red shade and a few other accents are red, this is one of the few framed pictures that actually has red in the framing.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy looking at this fun photo and it makes you smile just a little.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Think Pink
It's Tuesday and that means time for another fun, Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, brought to you by the ever so fun Jeni, who chose the theme, Think Pink. I chose the image, A No.2 Pencil and a Dream:
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, I know I am a week behind everyone else using this darling image, but isn't she adorable in pink? I thought this image was just perfect for a Valentines card, especially since the theme was pinks. I had a pad of vintage papers and thought it went with the image and theme perfectly.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT cards and see what darling pink creations they have for your viewing pleasure. While you are there, grab an image or two from the Sassy Cheryl's store and plan to play along and maybe you could win the 2 images of your choice given in the weekly random drawings.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

It's Tuesday!!! Sassy Cheryl's Challenge / Happy Birthday
It's Tuesday and time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge brought to you by the talented and oh so fun Jeni who loves Birthday's and chose that as the theme this week. I chose to use the super cute Bandit again, fooled you all huh, you all thought I would use the same one as everyone else was using, nope. I had to color me a calico cat:
I love coloring calico cats with copic markers, colored the sweater and added texture with black copic multiliner pen to emulate cable stitching. I added the Wish metal Tim Holtz tag to the brown ribbon bow under the circle spellbinder die cuts.
The cuttlebug flower was created with the same card stock.
The sentiment was computer generated.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created. While you are at it stop by the store and check out the Sassy Cheryl's Digi Store and see the wonderful new images she has created, she has been on a roll lately. So many new images, so little time. Be sure to grab one of the new images and join the Challenge and you might win 2 images in the weekly random drawing, easy peasy!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful, creative day.

Created this super fun Birthday card for my, just turned 12 year old grandson who loves to play his new Ipod. The coloring is copics of course, the green polka dot cs was embossed with a numbers embossing folder for my embossing element, and a super fun element for a Birthday card. A few Birthday embellishments, and I loved the 12 domino charm at the bottom and my card which is ready for my little gamer.
Here is a picture of Austin:

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Thinking of You!
It is a wonderful day for a Challenge, a Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, with the Theme, Thinking of You, brought to you by the wonderfully talented, Dawn. I chose the image, A Penny for your Thoughts:
The image was colored with copic markers, no surpise there. One of these days I am go ing to switch it up and you will be surprised LOL. Mounted onto a scalloped border label and that was mounted on a mesh covered music sheet.
The blue die cut band at the top was sponged with TH distress ink and the TH journal tag was punched so I could add a bakers twine tie.
A wide brown and white striped bow was tied at the bottom and a white paper rose was added to the bow and also 3 roses were added to the top right corner. The roses were all cut with the cricut and hand formed. The Hugs and Smiles sentiment says it all, Sassy Sally and Bella, doesn't get any better than that to send a Thinking of you wish.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT gals have created, most using A Penny for your thoughts, LOL very popular image this week :) , grab an image and play along. Everyone needs a Thinking of You card to send to that special someone.
Be sure to stop by the Sassy Cheryl's store to see the wonderful new images she has created for you. If you want to know where those wonderful images come from Sassy Cheryl has just started a new Illustrated by Cheryl Blog of her Daily Journaling and some of her ideas and doodles end up in the shop, how cool is that. Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Something New!!
It's Thursday and that means a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and the theme, brought to you by the super talented Iulia, is: Something New. I chose the gorgemous, My Chubby Valentine:
The "New" event is my retirement, which became official yesterday, as I got my first Social Security check in my account, that is about as official as it gets LOL, I colored this gorgemous Chubby beauty, some of my favorite images, as a self portrait (minus the boobs which I don't have LOL )
The white background cs was embossed with a cuttlebug folder with lots of congratulations sentiments which I thought was appropriate, but most were covered by the main image. My new favorite cuttlebug flower and leaves were mounted in the lower left corner and a button threaded with brown and white bakers twine was added to the upper right. Other than that Miss Retirement says it all !!!
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and check out what the rest of the DT has chosen to create for the "new " theme and be sure to grab one of the new awesome images Mo has created and Join the Challenge fun for a chance to win one of the numerous prizes given weekly. One prize is given for every 25 entries. That is pretty awesome.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Clean and Simple
Terrific Tuesday means time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and the theme today is, Clean and Simple.....I pretty much suck at clean and simple, but chose the awesome new image called, Bandit's Mischievous Smile, to compensate:
It's kind of hard to see all of the details in the cats fur, hopefully you can click and get an enlargement of the photo. I added a mouse from a stamp set I had that I thought would add to the mischievous nature of the card and the sentiment stamp was from the same stamp set. I think an appropriate alternate sentiment could be "Lets do Lunch" LOL.
I am not sure the bakers twine and red checked flower qualify for clean and simple but I liked them and they are there. It does have minimum layers and embellishments, Hey I kept the totel of everything to 6, I think that might be some kind of record.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and check out the rest of the DT cards and see how much every one loved Bandit LOL, Remember to enter the challenge for a chance to win 2 images of your chose in the weekly random drawing. You must use a Sassy Cheryl's image on your project and you have a whole week to enter.....Can't wait to see what you create.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Anything Goes
I am so excited to be back ...Mo's Digital Pencil Challenges are a special part of my week and I so look forward to them, so I loved creating this special little snow scene using, Taste of Winter, for the Anything Goes Theme this week:
The beautifully detailed image was colored with copics of course :) and I chose grey for the snow suit and orange and brown for the scarf with orange boots so it could be gender neutral. I love the fur on show suits so I can play with my white gel pens. My reason for loving winter...its the little things :)
I added assorted papers and the embellishments were an assortment of Cuttlebug quilled daisy flowers, a rolled flower, along with a Party ticket for when she/he gets tired of lapping up snow flakes.
Be sure to stop by the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge blog to see the beautiful cards the rest of the DT has created for the challenge...I can't wait. I look forward to seeing all of the beautiful creations again, I have been away much too long. Remember for every 25 entries there is a prize.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Scrabble Family frames I made for Christmas Gifts
Just wanted to show you and tell you about the Scrabble Family Name projects I made each family for Christmas. Here is a picture of one, as I let them get away before I photographed one of them finished LOL:
Appropriate that this would be the one that I would explain to you, as it is the one that gave me fits, as I just wrote out the names on a piece of paper originally when I came up with the idea, I used a regular scrabble board and scanned it on my printer which gave me an 8 1/2 X 11 white boardered scrabble board with scrabble on one side.....pretty cool....worked for me....I laid out all of the names and the way I had them originally written one of the names was 2 letters over the edge, I still love ya Bailey LOL ....back to the drawing board of getting the names juggled. Finally got it to work. Hurray!!!
The paper scrabble page was modge podged onto a 10 X 12 piece of cardboard and let dry over night, just a light coat so the paper did not bubble or warp. I then taped the white line so I could spray paint the outside black and frame the piece in an 11 X 14 frame. I also airbrushed two metal photo frame corners from gold to brown for each framed piece.
What do you think? You don't end up with a full scrabble board and the is not perfect but it turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself....and the kids liked them or they were lieing to me, one or the other :)
The idea was from a fake scrabble wall art piece on Pinterest that I adapted to what I had which was a ton of scrabble pieces I use for card making and crafts...
Hugs

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Anything Goes/ Your Favorite Image
Happy New Year!, and Welcome to the first Sassy Cheryl's Challenge of 2013. I get to be the hostess of the first Challenge and thought it would be fun to make it a challenge favorite theme of, Anything Goes, and you can use a Favorite Sassy Cheryl's Image too, if you want. I chose, Juggling Heart Bear, to Welcome in the New Year, what better way to say Happy New Year:
You all know I love Bears and Snowmen so it is always a toss up which of Sassy Cheryl's images I choose, I thought this wonderful Bear was to cute and would be perfect for my New Year's card. Colored with copic markers and highlighted with white gel pen. Mounted on some Christmas/Holiday paper I bought this year at Michaels and sponged around the edge to soften the edge.
My rolled flower was mounted on a green/white check ribbon which I left the loops long to back the flower.
The label was hand printed with Happy New Year because I couldn't find a stamp that would work, part of the reason I quit using stamps, never have the right sentiment when you have a bazillion :( I think I need to practice my lettering...I color much better IMO :) and hopefully everyone elses LOL.
After a two week break I am ready to hit the New Year running, how about you?? Grab a new super cute Sassy image after checking out the rest of the DT cards on the Challenge Blog and enter for a chance to win two images in the random drawing, doesn't get much easier than that. Just remember you have to use a Sassy Cheryl's Image to enter.h....The image I used today was in the less than a dollar bin...so even if you are really broke from Christmas you should be able to squeeze out an image from that group LOL.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.
