The Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week is hosted by the super talented Jackie, and the challenge is Flower Power. I used a flower in my image and on my creation:
A Simple Gift of a Flower? I love her hat and the dangling flowers on her dress. I colored her with copic markers and sponged the edge with distress ink.
The hat was supposed to look very well loved and I tried to get it to look very distressed but it didn't show up in the photo as much as in person. I think I spent an hour coloring just the hat LOL. It is done much the same as I do denim or bear fur with the copic blender marker pounced until I get the effect I want.
I added a little MS punched fence to give the flower garden feel and tied a brown and pink ribbon at its base. a large pink flower which almost perfectly matches the Flower Girls flower add a special touch of Fall. I have a very similiar pink flower in my garden and it is beautiful, at least until the next heavy frost.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and check out the Flower Power created by the rest of the DT and then head over to the Sassy Digi Store and see the first Sassy Snowman of the Season!!!!!! He is adorable. And there is a cutie patootie Sassy Gift bearer girl...yep they are must haves...
