Yep, today is Tuesday and this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge our illustrious Team Leader Peggy Marsh has chosen a color challenge. The colors are beige, peach and light blue. Here is what I came up with:
I just love Sassy Cheryl's snowmenand this one is called Bubble Blower Snowman. I colored this cutie with copic markers and sponged with distress ink, no surprises there, did you expect any? LMBO! I did add crystal effects to the bubbles and the snow under the snowman which is hard to see in the photo. You can double click for a closer view.
The flowers are some more of my new Spellbinder daisy petals and the large blue flowers were made with my EK five petal punch.
The Thanks sentiiment is a metal brad that was part of a Fall Embellishment kit and is supposed to be combined with a giving brad to say Thanksgiving, but I just used half of it, now I have to make a card that says Giving LOL, maybe not!!!
I think these are just happy colors. Thanks Peggy for the wonderful challenge. Can't wait to see what the rest of the Sassy Gals have created. We love to have you play along. Now that it is getting hotter you really should spend more time in the air conditioning creating challenge cards for us to enjoy.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Mummu in Sepia!
Mo's Digital Pencil has these wonderful images called Mummu and I love them. They are the reason I found Mo's wonderful images. I saw this image on Peggy Marsh's blog and the rest is history. The challenge for last week was to use your favorite image and anything else was up to you, so I was off to play. Here is what I came up with:
I have always loved the look of Sepia photos, very vintage and very cool. I decided to try to recreate this look with my favorite Mummu image. Colored with copic markers and sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink with regular flesh colors used for the skin areas.
I bought a couple of new Spellbinder Impressabilities which I really like but it took me forever to figure out how they worked, a real duh moment once I figured it out LOL!!! The Impressability was used for the brown background layer, you may have to double click the image for a closer look of how cool it looks IRL.
The flowers are two larger Spellbinder Daisy Heads and the smaller center is from the Tim Holtz flower die cut by Sizzix.
My favorite embellishment is the new Tim Holtz film strip onto which I wrote MUMMU and attached with two black brads.
I am a little biased but I really like the way that it turned out while maintaining its simplicity!!!
Thanks for stopping by. I am so glad to be back creating, I can hardly stand it.
Have a great day, and see you tomorrow with a Sassy Cheryl's challenge card and a Riley and Company Challenge card.

Birthday's Blow!!! I'm Baack :)
Yep, the title says it all for me after last week. Birthday's aren't all they're cracked up to be once you get my age, but for the most part I love my life, but that wouldn't make a very funny card now would it? LOL!!!
Here is Sassy Cheryl's Freebie Bubble Blower Girl Birthday Card:
When I colored this little cutie I really had no idea what card I would make with it. A couple of weeks ago I went to my LSS which carries Tim Holtz products and they had these little mock bingo cards which I thought were so cute so I decided this one matched the sentiment I wanted to use.
The coloring was done with copic markers and the edge was sponged with broken china distress ink. The flower is a Tim Holtz die cut flower and I used tweezers to bend the edges of the pedals to give it a little dimension. The center is an enamel head thumb tack which I cut the tack part off and attached it with foam mounting tape.
The tag that has Birthday's stamped on it is a journaling tag sold through Tim Holtz as well, and I tucked it under the Blow card to create the sentiment stack.
It sure feels good to be able to make cards and color again. I have another card almost ready for tomorrow, but we will see how much time I have, My oldest daughter and two of her girls are coming up for the week-end and I go back to work on Sunday.
I just want to thank each and every one of you who sent me well wishes and prayers while I was in the hospital. It helps more than you know!!! Love ya all
Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow.

I'm Home--Actually last night :)
It was so nice to sleep in my own bed with no one coming in to draw blood or take my blood pressure and temperature every 2 hours., and those leg wraps that are like a blood pressure cuff and inflate on alternate legs every 30 seconds were not condusive to getting any sleep the first night I was there. Have I sufficiently complained now?!?
I am home and hopefully after my Dr. appt on Friday I will have permission to go back to work.
I am going to go to bed now, just wanted to update my blog that I was home. Maybe I will even get a card posted tomorrow. I have several images colored but need to finish making the cards. We'll see you all tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by.

Dream!! Mo's Digital Pencil newest freebie
Mo decided to post a 24 hour freebie, good thing I always check the PCP group several times a day and saw this last night. I couldn't resist coloring it right away. What do you think?
Can't you just see the many possibilities for this darling image. Falling snow, Santa's sleigh, rain drops.
I love the alphabet tiles I used for the sentiment. They are a little smaller than Scrabble tiles so work better on normal sized cards.
The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with Wild Wasabi SU ink and Vintage Photo Distress ink. The window was lightly colored in to appear as an early evening night with the moon to this little dreamer to gaze at.
Kept it kind of simple for a boy card but could have used a truck/airplane button to look like toys on the floor, hind sight is always 20/20 isn't it.
I am going to have a busy week-end. Tomorrow is my hubby's birthday and Sunday is Father's Day. We don't really have anything planned this week-end because my oldest daughter and her family will be coming up and her second daughter, Cailyn, has a birthday on July 5 so we will celebrate their birthday's together next week-end.
I will catch you all tomorrow, thanks for stopping by. Have a great week-end.

Shut Up!!!--Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge
Sheila is our Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge hostess this week and challenged us to use Dry Embossing on our project. I love embossing of any kind but I wanted to do something a little different. Here is what I came up with and I can it Shut Up!! LOL:
Don't we all relate to this image in one way or another. Mo calls this image Hoping. For me it is looking at the scale numbers and saying...SHUT UP!!! I used my cuttlebug folders to dry emboss the vellum strip along the left side, using a scroll border folder and used the dotted swiss full size folder to emboss the flowers. I used one piece of vellum for the bottom flower and white for the top. The edges were sponged with Soft Sky SU ink.
The flower dp is from My Mind's Eye Delilghtful paper pack and I think it looks cute with this image.
This was really a fun project, can't wait to see what you create!!! Be sure to stop by the rest of the DT's blogs to see their projects.
Thanks for stopping by, always glad to see you.
Have a great day and take the time to check out the new images Mo has posted. They are tooo cute, Lollipops and Graduates...
Catch ya later.

Tim Holtz meets Sassy Cheryl's !!
I wanted to see if you could use a Sassy Cheryl's image with Tim Holtz masks to create a Sassy Cheryl's Vintage inspired card. What do you think, did I succeed?
I haven't played with my Tim Holtz masks for a while and thought this beautiful little girl, called Makeshift Slide and her swimming pool friend could use a little vintage touch. On the little girl image I used the small scroll mask with a sponge dauber to apply the Weathered Wood distress ink over the mask. For the same mask turned a different direction I used my copic airbrush to spray E35 over the mask to produce the scroll on the plaid torn layer at the bottom.
A MS fancy scalloped punch was used for the blue green left side border. The yellow/gold and green bottom cs layer is from a K&Company matte pack called Cut & Paste.
I made the flower in the lower left corner using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Sissix Die. I added a half pearl for the center, added 3 tiny half pearls in the upper right corner and my Tim Holtz meets Sassy Cheryl's is ready!!!
Just in case you wondered the main image was colored with copic markers.
Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow will be the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and it is a really fun challenge so be sure to stop by and see what I have to show you.
Sassy Cheryl's Challenge was posted today and it is a fun challenge to use a handmade flower!!
Riley and Company also has a challenge that began today to create a package of some kind.
Be sure you check all of them out, they are really fun!!!
See you all tomorrow, Happy Coloring!!!

Monkey Business-Gift Card Holder---Riley and Company Challenge
Patti is the hostess of the Riley and Company Challenge this week and challenged us to make a pkg project. I was having a total brain fart on a different idea when I finally had a Eureka moment!!! Gift card holders are always handy to have around. Here is my "There's No Place Like Home" wicked monkey gift card holder:
The outside of the gift card holder has the not so scarey wicked flying monkey colored with copic markers and highlighted with sukara star dust glitter pen. I rounded the corners with my corner punch on all three layers. The dp is double sided so you don't have to take all the time to create the cute little wallet style holder.
The original directions are on SCS but I amended it to use double sided paper to save tons of time and I think they are cute and face it the majority of the recipients are only interested in the contents, sad but true!!!
I have also taken a pix of the inside so you can see the design. Here you go:
I scored the project with my MS score tool. I stuck a note in the gift card slot so you could see it easier.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's blogs for their challenge projects and play along. If you play along use the keywords Riley 1110 on SCS so we can find it in the gallery.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day.

Another fun Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Yep it's Tuesday!!!
Alina is our hostess again this week on Sassy Cheryl's Challenge blog and she has chosen the challenge--Make a flower!!! Alina always has such wonderful flowers on her cards!!! Here is my card:
I love this image called Reindeer Pull but I like to call it Reindeer Training LOL. The image was colored with copic markers and look Ma no sponging, it happens (just not often) HaHa.... The image was cut so that the little reindeer hoof is outside the rectangle and mounted on kraft cs. The kraft layer was mounted on a green and white polka dot dp from Target Christmas pack I got last year.
I thought the colors of beige, green and orange were fun and not really Christmassy.
My flower is a rolled paper flower that I loe to make. Lisa G. from the Sassy Cheryl's PCP group offered a tutorial several months ago and although they are rather large in height I really like to use them on my cards. I punched the flower leaves with a MS pedal punch I found at Tuesday Morning a few weeks ago.
Be sure you take a look at the rest of the DT cards as they are always awesome and I'm sure you will get a lot of flower tutorials and inspiration.
Hopefully our Sassy Boss Lady, Cheryl, has recovered from her ladder fall and there are new images for you to enjoy in the store. I'm telling you, the images just keep getting better and better.
Catch you all later. I've got some coloring to do.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

I did a SCS Sketch Challenge Yeah Me!!! LOL
I had colored some images last week-end and wasn't sure what I wanted to create so I headed over to the SplitCoastStampers website to see what the Sketch Challenge was this week. I thought it fit my Daddy's Girl image from Mo's Digital Pencil so I created this card:
I had colored Daddy's Girl in hot pink and orange, I love those colors for little girls.
The dp is from a K&Company paper matte pack called Citronella, such fun summer colors!!
The sketch was followed exactly, what's up with that, I always turn it or change something LOL!!!
I punched the top rectangles with MS border punches to add a little interest. I thought I had been really clever and then after I created my card to the SCS Gallery I happened to glance at challenge samples and one of the ladies had done the same thing, Oh, well I guess it was a good idea HUH!!!
The buttons were added because I didn't really like the stark corners of the punched pieces and it brought out the yellow and orange a bit.
The pink flower is a large prima I had purchased at Tuesday Morning a few weeks ago and I added a crepe flower for the center because they are so fun to make ( and easy too). Thanks again Cammie for the tutorial on how to make them!!!
Thanks for stopping by.
It has been a long couple of weeks at work, I have just completed 9 straight days of work, I have a day off and then I start another 6 straight days, what's up with that!!! The paycheck's will be nice if I live to spend them LOL!!!
To be honest it is the most fun job I have had since I started at Marriott and although I have always loved working at the Reservation Center the jobs do tend to be a little repetative. The new project that started in April is a new Chat line where rather than people sending in emails to get their questions answered about the website and their Rewards log in issues they can Chat. Imagine chatting with 3 people at the same time trying to answer their questions. Tonight I worked 7 hours and answered 108 chat sessions. Then I come home and do my blog and comment on DT Challenge cards...Maybe I am nuts but I love it all!!!
Enough babble,
Thanks for stopping by, love to have you.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Easel Card
Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week is hosted by the fantabulous Sheila, who has challenged us to make an Easel card. Here is what I created:
I have long admired the Easel card but didn't tackle one until a couple of weeks ago. They are fun and I really enjoyed making this one too.
The oh so fun image is: The Big Guy Grilling. Colored with copic markers and sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink.
I decorated the visible inside of my easel card with matcing dp and a blue green strip at the top where I placed a Fancy Tags Spellbinder die cut onto which I placed a blue button tied with brown and white checked ribbon.
I absolutely LOVE this sentiment, but who do you really send it to?!? In case you have trouble reading it , it says: If at First you DO succeed, try not to look astonished.
Too funny.
I almost forgot to mention I created the Hawaiian print shirt using a punched negative strip from the flower MS border punch. I used my copic multiliner to trace around the inside and then colored them in bright BBQ man wear...OOGA!!!
I am just having fun, I always love summer because my husband is in charge of grilling, which means I only have to fix the sides and set the table... He has always been stuck on only using charcoal , but this year I am going to buy a gas grill for his birthday the 19 and Father's day, not because he deserves it, but because it is long overdue.
Be sure you check out the rest of the DT's challenge cards and play along.if you get a chance, we'd love to have you.
If you don't know how to make an easel card you can go the Split Coast Stampers site to the Resources and there are instructions you can print off, that's where I got mine :) Here is a link to the page:
Thanks for stopping by, Always love to have you here.

I Scream You Scream LOL Mo's little Ice Cream Lacie!!
I personally love ice cream, so when Mo, of Mo's Digital Pencill, created this little darling I had to have her. Introducing summer fun, Ice Cream Lacie:
I am a digital artist's dream (in my world) because I very seldom use an image more than a time or two and then I move on to the newest creation LOL, think I 'm addicted...don't answer that I don't want to know :). My point is I have already used this little cutie for last week's challenge and today. She's just too cute and so fun to color.
I thought the colors looked so summery and fun just like the image.
The yellows, oranges, and lime greens are just such fun colors.
Colored with copics, no surprise there, sponged with SU pumpkin pie ink still no surprise and tied a cute orange checked ribbon. Boy I am so predictable.
I added a cute paper circle flower in orange polka dot with a green brad center and three coordinating buttons in the lower right corner.
I don't remember the last time I posted two cards in one night. Feels good to be productive again :)
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out Mo's Digital Pencil on PCP for the newest images. Mo has really been busy creating some wonderful images lately.
Happy Coloring!!

Know someone feeling Crabby? Here's your card!!!
Artistic Outpost released 3 new stamp sets in May and one of my favorites is Beyond the Sea. In this set is an accessory Crab stamp. I couldn't resist making a "Feeling Crabby" card:
There are also wonderful shells and starfish stamps that make a wonderful subtle background for this trio of crabs.
The crabs were colored with copic markers and the background was stamped with tattered rose distress ink.
I had the perfect mauve colored cs which I punched the borders with my MS fancy scalloped edge punch.
Two matching brads and this simple note card is ready to cheer up a Crabby friend.
This doesn't have to be a Crabby card, it could just be for someone who just loves reminders of the beauty of the sea and the soft subtle colors of many of the Ocean's creatures.
It would be so easy to make a note card boxed set that anyone would love to receive.
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to stop by the Artistic Outpost Store to see the newest Stamp plates. They are awesome.
Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow!!
Happy Coloring!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Embossing
Yeah, it is Tuesday and that means a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge. I love my cuttlebug so this was a fun challenge for me. To be honest they are all fun but I do have my preferences like the ones that are easier for me LOL!! The so very talented Jodi is the hostess this week and we are to use embossing on our card. Here is what I created:
I really like Sassy Cheryl's little quilt blocks. I chose the July Quilt block since the 4th of July is quickly approaching. I kept the colors rather Americana colors with darker reds and country blues with beige tinted whites. No I didn't spill my coffee!!! LOL
Colored with copic markers and sponged with Faded Jeans distress ink. The antique brass star eyelets were added with my Crop-a-dile. I added 3 tiny brads in the upper right corner to balance it a little.
The embossed portio is the red panel I ran through my Star cuttlebug folder. Because the paper was wider than my folder I had a seam which I covered with the red check ribbon.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations, they are awesome!!!
We would love to have you play along and you always have a chance in the random drawing to win a 5 dollar gift certifiate.
Sassy Cheryl's has another batch of super cute images released today. Be sure you check out the store.
Thanks for stopping by, Have a great day.

My first Isabella's Sketchbook Challenge card!
I have a lot of friends on the DT for Isabella's Sketchbook so I decided it would be fun to support them and play in a challenge. I had gotten a couple of Isabella's images a couple of weeks ago and I love to color flowers, so used this wonderful image for my Sketch Challenge card:
The flowers are so dainty and I tried to keep the colors muted and peachy. I just happened to have this We R Memory Keepers dp called Grandma's Kitchen that matched the colors perfectly. The striped side panel is from the Que Sara paper pack.
The leaves were one off stamped on the striped dp for a little added dimension, I think it works? The button centered in the prima flower fulfills the flower for the sketch and I thought the double row of ribbon was just the right final touch.
Check out Isabella's Sketchbook group on PCP and Linda's Challenge is there. Play along it is fun and there is always a chance you might win a free image. Free is always good!!!
Isabella's Sketchbook has a wide variety of digital images for you to choose from.
Have a great day. Gotta finish my Sassy Cheryl's Challenge card so I will see you tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by.

Father's Day Challenge--Karen's Doodles
Well, I played the Karen's Doodles Challenge a few weeks ago and I was one of the random drawing winner of two images. This is one of them and I decided to use it to play in another of the US Challenges which is a Father's Day theme:
I always think a Thank you card is appropriate for a Father's Day Card as we are really thanking our father's for all they have done for us. I lost my father when I was 18 so it is a celebration I use for my husband and our 4 children.
Isn't this just the cutest image. I don't know which I like more the Bigsby or Herbert the Turtle so I chose an image with both.
You should play along, it is fun. This was a sketch challenge and I flipped the sketch to fit my image. I always seem to do that :)
Have a great day.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Merged Images
Yep, it's Thursday, where has the week gone? The super talented Sheila is the hostess this week for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge. Sheila chose for us to merge more than one Mo's image. Here is my card:
Aren't Lacie and Justin Ice Cream just the cutest little toddler's eating Ice Cream and Justin is unknowingly sharing with the puppy.
The images were merged in Photo Shop Elements 7 which I love. It is so easy to use. Don't worry if you don't have any software that will allow you to merge images just print out two images and cut one out and add it to the other, easy.
I love the way that so many of Mo's images can be merged together and create twice the cuteness!!!
The images were colored with copic markers and sponged with Broken China distress ink. I added one of the totally fun crepe paper flowers in the upper right corner and 3 dew drops in the lower left corner.
I was a pretty bad girl this week, through no fault of my own. I hate when medical issues keep me from crafting. I am finally better, but tonight was the first night I was able to sit and put some cards together.
I didn't get my card done in time to be included on the Challenge page but I am only human and can only do what I can do. Hope you enjoyed it and be sure to check out the rest of the DT's projects.
Thanks for stopping by.

We would love to have you join the Challenge and if you post your cards on SCS use the keyword Riley 1010 so we can find your card or project.
I know a lot of you bought stamps from this set and this would be a perfect time to show them off!!!
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects and see what they came up with for my 3-2-1 Challenge :)
