Mummu in Sepia!

Mo's Digital Pencil has these wonderful images called Mummu and I love them.  They are the reason I found Mo's wonderful images.  I saw this image on Peggy Marsh's blog and the rest is history.  The challenge for last week was to use your favorite image and anything else was up to you, so I was off to play.  Here is what I came up with:
I have always loved the look of Sepia photos, very vintage and very cool.   I decided to try to recreate this look with my favorite Mummu image.  Colored with copic markers and sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink with regular flesh colors used for the skin areas.

I bought a couple of new Spellbinder Impressabilities which I really like but it took me forever to figure out how they worked, a real duh moment once I figured it out LOL!!!  The Impressability was used for the brown background layer, you may have to double click the image for a closer look of how cool it looks IRL.

The flowers are two larger Spellbinder Daisy Heads and the smaller center is from the Tim Holtz flower die cut by Sizzix.
My favorite embellishment is the new Tim Holtz film strip onto which I wrote MUMMU and attached with two black brads.

I am a little biased but I really like the way that it turned out while maintaining its simplicity!!!

Thanks for stopping by.  I am so glad to be back creating, I can hardly stand it.

Have a great day, and see you tomorrow with a Sassy Cheryl's challenge card and a Riley and Company Challenge card.
