Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Pink and Girlie

Our hostess this week for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge is the super talented Lydia,  who has chosen the theme Pink and Girlie.  I am not much of a Girlie girl but love pink.  I chose the super cute special image Mo created to benefit the Make a Wish foundation.  Here is my cute Cotton Candy image:

Who didn't love cotton candy as a kid,  I had to add the blue as my favorite cotton candy was the multi colored ones.   How could you taste the flavor of the color over the pure sugar taste LOL....who cares it was so perfect to pinch off a little and it would just melt in your mouth....and stick to your fingers....and anything you touched ...soo worth it though!!!
The little cutie was colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink.  A pink double scalloped border on the left and a single row of fancy scalloped edge using a MS punch on the right.
Don't you love the dp which is a free download from Jak Heath;s blog...she has all different colors and there are two different size polka dots on each sheet...I love polka dots!!!  I added a cute pink checked ribbon with a double bow and small pink button to finish it off.
Be sure to stop by the Mo's Challenge blog and check out the DT creations for this super fun challenge...While you are at it check out Mo's Store and see what new wonderful images she has for you.

I am still bummed I didn't get to participate in the Carnival Challenge but one of these days I will show my card I created after the fact...I had it printed but didn't get it colored before I ended up in the hospital :(
Thahks for stopping by and have a great day!

Just Inklined 100 member freebie on Crafters Digital Art Center

About two weeks ago Just Inklined joined the Crafters Digital Art Center as a group and the membership has sailed to almost 200 already. To celebrate attaining 100 members Jak offered the following free image:

Isn't she just the orneriest looking little girl you ever did see, she is always into something.  I loved coloring her with copic markers and then I wanted to create a fun card since bike riding is a fun sport,.
I cut the image oval with my fiskers oval template and then cut the yellow base oval the same size, when I saw the left over piece I though it was perfect for a back ground piece with the dp showing through.  I liked the look so it stayed.
The gears were cut from the Tim Holtz die as a patter but resized and cut with my cricut.  A little blue flower in the lower right corner and two different color cs for the base,
If you would like to Join the Just Inklined Group at Crafters Digital Art Center you can go here:  I just checked in on the group and we just hit 200 members so that means there will be another freebie so if you join that means you should get both free images.
Be sure to check out the Just Inklined Store which is LaPashe as the digital images are all less than 2.00 USD except for the sets but they are so reasonable too.  Check them out here
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--The Great Outdoors!!!

Our hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is the super fun and talented Jeni who has chosen the theme, The great Outdoors.  I thought  Buttercup Suzi was perfect for this challenge:

Isn't she just hysterical getting a birds eye look at the ladybug on her buttercup flower?
The image was colored with copic markers and if you look real close I still didn't sponge around the image this time. LOL, I know it doesn't happen often but I thought the different dp behind the image was enough contrast.
I like to use polka dots and stripes on cards, and roses and buttons and bakers twine so I guess I used all my favorite things on this little cutie.  The little butterfly is double layered and cut with none other than my cricut expression.

Be sure to stop by and see what the rest of the DT has created for you this week...I know you will be inspired.

If you want even more inspiration check out the new images in the Sassy Cheryl's Store....lots of fun bears and a flower freebie if you are a PCP member of Sassy Cheryl's can be yours by going to the PCP page.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Happy Easter Everybody!!!

It feels so good to actually have made a card, its been over a week.  Since I got out of the hospital after being in for 48 hours I hadn't done much except work and sleep.  I had colored this super cute carrott bunny, called Dusty Bunny,  a couple of weeks ago and had planned to show it to you last week but I just got the card made.  This little fiunny Bunny and I just want to wish you a Happy Easter and let you know that I should be posting regularly again, thanks for not leaving me LOL!!!  Enough of the BlaBlaBla:

Isn't he just the cutest little bunny.  I thought he deserved this beautiful doilie which started out white and i airbrushed it to match the cute polka dot dp.  The edges were spongerd and a few strands of bakers twine were wound around the bottom and tied in a bow.
The upper right corner touts a beautiful flower cut from bakers parchment paper, I airbrushed the edges and gently molded it from the back side and put them all together with a brad.
Do you see the 3 cute tiny blue buttons on the left side?  They came in a package all the way from England and sent by Jak as the prize for winning a contest to add a slogan to a picture of her darling grandson Jack.....I was so excited I won and even more excited when I got her lovely package of wonderful dp and embellishments....

I hope you all get all the chocolate bunnies and Easter Eggs you deserve!!!  Me I prefer the Malted milk ball Robin's Eggs Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Good morning all you Sassy Cheryl's fans.  It is time for another Sassy Challenge, which is a super fun sketch challenge, brought to you by the ubber talented Dawn!!! Here is what I created:

Isn't this a fun sketch?  I actually think I followed it pretty well....it happens LOL.  I used one of Sassy Cheryl;s fun new images called Laybug Magnet (girl).  The image was colored with copic markers and airbrushed while still in the spellbinder die.

The die cut layer behind the main image was cut with the cricut expression using the Twinkle Toes label resized using the Design Studio software,  The flowers on the right side are  flowers cut using the Home Accents cartidge.
I used some very old dp from SU because the color was perfect.  A few pearls and a white grosgrain bow and this awesome sketch was complete.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations.  I know they have a wonderful bit of inspiration for you all.
Sassy Cheryls is having a wonderful sale right  now, so be sure to stop by and check out the new image and pick up a few when they are on sale !!!

Cupcake Mouse Color Me Challenge--Sassy Cheryl's

Just a quick post to show you the cute card I created for Sassy Cheryl's Color Me Challenge. When I saw this little mouse hiding behind the cupcake I knew he would find a way to my craft room...Yeah it took about 3 minutes LOL.  Here he is all ready to Party:

I wanted to use a "wobble" base for the sentiment and just happened to have a couple I made still sitting on my desk, added bonus.
Colored with copic markers, no surprise there and airbrushed the border while still in the spellbinder die,  A few wraps of Bakers Twine tied into a neat little bow and this Sneaky Birthday Cupcake Mouse is ready to go.
Stop by Sassy Cheryl's Blog and check out the Color Me Challenge and the play along, she would love to have you.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Start of Something New!

The Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week, Start of Something New, chosen by the wonderfully talented Dorcas.  I may have bent the theme a little bit, but I loved this image and wanted to use it LOL.  That is nothing new, but the image is and the season would be new and .....here is my card using Cherry:

This may be classified as a CAS card.  I have really loved all the image on white cards I have seen lately so decided it was time I did one too.
The inage was colored with copic markers and mounted on Red Riding Hood cs.  The white layer was embossed with a Sizzix fall folder, pretend it is spring leaves emerging. LOL.  I tied a red double bow check ribbon and attached it to a band of the same ribbon on the right border to hide the fact the embossing folder wasn't as wide as my card base, besides the fact that was exactly where I wanted the ribbon anyway.
A fun little lady bug in the upper right corner and my Spring New Beginnings card is complete.
Be sure to drop by the Challenge Blog and check out the new feature the DT leaders implemented, the challenge entries are thumbnails...isn't that awesome!!!
Be sure to stop by and check out the newest Mo's Digital Pencil images.

Thanks for stopping by and I would love to see your comments.

Have a great day.

It's time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge-- Think Spring

It's time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge!!! This week Dawn has chosen the theme, Think Spring:

I couldn't just create one card because Cheryl has been in overdrive creating wonderful new images

Here is my first project using Share the Love:

I thought the pretty dp with butterflies, the doilies and flowers just said Spring and new to me.

When I saw the next new image I knew I had to create a second Challenge card. This little girl is just so cute and fun I couldn't resist.  I have a liking of the colors blue and yellow this season and so guess what colors I used for A: Simple Gift of a Flower:

I colored with copic markers and sponged with distress inks and used 3 MS butterflie and a cute little blue tone ladybug.

I think this little girl just screams Spring.  Be sure you check out what the rest of the DT has created to put you in the mood for Spring..

Like I mentioned before Sassy Cheryl has been working over time creating the cutest images you have seen.  Be sure to stop by and while you are at it grab a Sassy image and play along in the challenge with us.

Thanks for stopping by.

Vintage Dress Form --Back to my crafting roots!!!

When I first started making cards I was more into Vintage than anything else. That was a little before the rest of the crafting world decided it was really cool LOL.  Sometimes I just have to go back and create something I refer to as Modern Vintage...My way:

I love dress forms but I prefer the wire framed ones and looked at the free SVG files on the internet until I found one I really liked.  Thanks  T. Mason for the free file.
I used my Sure Cuts a Lot software to resize it to fit a card and cut two one in black cs and the other in a beautiful vintage rose  floral cs by K & Company.  The dress makers book cover was a free clip art I printed onto my cs and then I printed my sentiment on the left side leaving room to put my dress form.
The scissors are from the Sentimentals cartrridge for my cricut expression.
The Tim Holtz clock mask was perfect to go with my sentimet and I sponged distress ink around the mask.
a bit of lace, some faux vintage buttons a brown checked bow and ribbon a strand of ivory pearls and my vintage dress form card is done.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day

Easter Treat Milk Cartons--Cricut design

I know that I have really liked the milk carton candy containers that I have seen for the past year or so but just couldn't justify the cost of the Sizzix die...I wanted to be able to make different sizes.  Here is my project:

These were so simple to make.  I used a free milk carton SVG file which is for the Sure Cuts a Lot software and cut with the Cricut Expression. The green milk carton on the left is the original size of the template and the one on the right is the one I resized to be a better size for me to give to my grandkides as Easter Treat boxes.
The little birdie on the front of the purple  milk carton is a Quickutz die called, what else bird.  I thought the multi colored rick rack was so cute for this little birdie and it only needed a button and butterfly to be complete.  Don't want to get too fancy, after all they are for kids who will not save them LOL.
The green larger carton was decorated with a band of Easter dp and a top and bottom band of pink check ribbon.  A sticker saying Happy Easter, given to me by my daugher Michelle several years ago, matched the design elements and was just the right size for the carton.
I hope you liked my little Easter cartons,  I have been enjoying having a little time to play with my cricut this week-end.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Beautiful Spring Trees--Just Inklined

This beautiful tree image is perfect for a Just Because card.   Three Trees from Just Inklined is a wonderful trio of trees which can be used alone or in a group to create a beautiful scene. Here is what I created:

The trees were colored with copic markers and the clouds and sky were airbrushed as was the grassy areas  under the trees.  To not detract from the beauty and simplicity of the trees I only added a couple  of wraps of bakers twine on the left side and a new felt flower I created.
The felt flower was a totally fun flower to create using my cricut.  I had been wondering if I could cut felt flowers with my cricut and the instructions and comments in the cricut forums were mixed so I decided to try it, what did I have to lose right?  I had to buy some Heat n Bond Ulttra hold backing which I found, with a little help, at Hobby Lobby.  You iron the paper onto the back of the felt and then put it on the cricut mat and cut.
I used the settings of 6 blade, 2 speed and 6 pressure and multi-cut two.  I made the flowers 1.5 inches and I am not sure you could make them too much smaller but thruogh they were okay.  What do you think?  I like the way they turned out.  I used the Mother's Bouquet cartridge flowers and leaves.
Be sure to stop by the LePasche store and see the newest images Just Inklined has for you, they are awesome. Some Alice in Wonderland and Easter and just some totally cute images  as always.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Good Morning everyone!!! Are you ready for another Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge?  The hostess this week is the dynamic Dorcas and the theme she has chosen for us is, How does your garden grow?. Here is my favorite little gardner, Ben:

I decided I wanted to make a circle easel card so found the instructions on Splitcoast Stampers and created a cute backdrop and base for this little darling!!!

Isn't this just the most fun way to shout Yippee it's Spring!!! Sassy Cheryl created such a fun image so you could color each letter and there are stripes and polka dots and lady bugs and bees,...too fun.
I added a fence and wheel barrow along with a paper flower with a center button tied wtih Bakers Twine.

Riley and Company Challenge--All about Sophie!!

Therese is the hostess this week for the Riley and Company Challenge and she has chosen the theme, All About Sophie. I chose to use an older Sophie image called Laundry Riley:

I have always thought this was the cutest image but have not used it before. I chose to color the image with copic markers and cut a frame with a spellbinder polka dot frame.  After cutting the die frame I airbrushed the polka dots while still in the frame. I really like the way it turned out.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT blogs, found on my side bar, and see what they created for this awsesone challenge.
We would love to have you play along and if you load your card into a gallery such as Splitcoast Stampers use the keyword Riley0711 so we can come and leave you some love..

Just Inklined Blog Hop--It's Spring!!!

Welcome to the Just Inklined Monthly Blog Hop!!!  If you arrived here from Karen's Blog you are in the right spot. If not you should start at Jeni's Blog so you don't miss a single blog along the Hop.  The fabulous Ms Jeni is the hostess this month for the Just Inkined Blog Hop and has chosen the theme, Anything Spring.  I chose this darling Door Mouse:

I decided that the Door Mouse looked like he was just waking up after a long winter hiding in the little tea pot on the shelf adorned with beautiful dandelion pictures.  The image was colored with copic markers and the image was created by merging 3 images together. The Door Mouse, the two different dandelion panels from Jak Heath's dp and the dandelion dp which is from the same bundle.  I loved the colors and the patterns.
I twisted and resized hte dandelion panels until I liked them. I really love to merge images because there is so much you can do with them.
I made the hat pin with some fun beads and some silver cord and thought it was the perfect touch for the shelf ruffle made with crepe paper pleated onto a piece of ribbon tape...pretty cool huh?!?
The final touch was the I-Rock metal Glam Rocks in the upper left corner, it is fun to lay out the little swirls.
The next stop  on your travels through the Hop is, Heidy, the newest member of the DT.    Be sure to stop by the LaPashe site to see all the newest images.
