Flowers I can't kill!!! :)

My thumb isn't quite that brown, I do okay with house plants but outdoor plants, yeah, my daughter does my landscaping LOL.  Sassy Cheryl's has this darling flower pot with button flowers that is so darn cute I just had to color it.  What do you think?
I wasn't exactly certain what I was going to do with this image after I colored it.  Today I went to Archivers looking for flower soft for a DT project for next month...no I can't tell you yet :)...of course they didn't have any but they did have some new QuicKutz large variety pack die cuts.  I have been wanting to have some a little larger than my spellbinders so I don't have to print my images so small.  I am old, I have to be able to see what I am coloring!!!
The set comes with 4 scalloped edge dies and 4 straight edge just smaller so they layer so nicely.
This is a standard size card.
The larger straight edge rectangle was sponged before I removed it from the die using a large sponge dauber.
The smaller scalloped rectangle was embossed after cutting to get the nice border indention.  I think I am going to use the heck out of this set.
Not too much about the card other than colored with copic markers.  The ribbon is white grosgrain dyed with SU reinkers.
I almost forgot to mention the Out of the Box die cut technique.  I really like the way it looks and it is really easy.  You just lay the die over the image where you want it placed.  I wanted the buttons to be outside the cut.  Draw a pencil line (lightly) on both sides of the die above and below where you want the cut out to be.  I also marked the top and bottom so it would be where I had originally placed it.  Cut the part that will be outside the die cut area with sharp scissors and place your die making certain to put your cut out (buttons in this case) on top of the die. Run through your die cut machine and you have buttons ( or whatever) outside the die cut line.  A really fun, easy technique and it gives the card a little different dimension.
Thanks for stopping by and make sure you stop by Sassy Cheryl's and play in our weekly challenge and be sure to check out the store and see all of Sassy Cheryl's wonderful images.
