Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Easel Card

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week is hosted by the fantabulous Sheila, who has challenged us to make an Easel card.  Here is what I created:

I have long admired the Easel card but didn't tackle one until a couple of weeks ago.  They are fun and I really enjoyed making this one too.
The oh so fun image is: The Big Guy Grilling.  Colored with copic markers and sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink.
I decorated the visible inside of my easel card with matcing dp and a blue green strip at the top where I placed a Fancy Tags Spellbinder die cut onto which I placed a blue button tied with brown and white checked ribbon.
I absolutely LOVE this sentiment, but who do you really send it to?!?  In case you have trouble reading it , it says:  If at First you DO succeed, try not to look astonished.
Too funny.

I almost forgot to mention I created the Hawaiian print shirt using a punched negative strip from the flower MS border punch.  I used my copic multiliner to trace around the inside and then colored them in bright BBQ man wear...OOGA!!!
I am just having fun, I always love summer because my husband is in charge of grilling, which means I only have to fix the sides and set the table...  He has always been stuck on only using charcoal , but this year I am going to buy a gas grill for his birthday the 19 and Father's day, not because he deserves it, but because it is long overdue.
Be sure you check out the rest of the DT's challenge cards and play along.if you get a chance, we'd love to have you.
If you don't know how to make an easel card you can go the Split Coast Stampers site to the Resources and there are instructions you can print off, that's where I got mine :)  Here is a link to the page:

Thanks for stopping by,  Always love to have you here.

Happy Coloring

What a great card, Cathy. Wonderful choice of DP and embellishments. How clever to use the border punch to make the shirt pattern.
