Mo's Digital Pencil--Altered item

Yeah, it is Thursday, I seem to have missed a day somewhere this week LOL.  The Challenge this week at Mo's Digital Pencil is to create an altered item.  I struggled with this one as I always seem to create the same thing, so I decided to do this:

It's a sweatshirt.  I absolutely love the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz and Mo created this awesome one for us. I had thought about making a tote but thought I would wear the sweatshirt more than I needed another tote to carry around.
Be sure you stop by the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge blog and see what everyone has created, there are some awesome altered items.
Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!!!

Sketch Challenge 300 at Split Coast Stampers

I found Split Coast Stampers when I was a new Stampin Up Demo as a means to find out what people were creating with their Stampin Up Stamps.  I have had a gallery there for a long time and appreciate how my card creations have grown in quality LOL  IMO...very subjective.  Well today marks the 300th Sketch Challenge and to celebrate they are offering prizes from several companies, one of which is Sassy Cheryl's, so I decided to create a card in support of the challenge and Sassy Boss Lady!!!  Here is the card I created:

I chose Broom Witch from Sassy Cheryl's to create my sketch challenge card.  I followed the sketch exactly...yeah what's up with that...I always turn it or add something or change something, but this time I was good LOL.
The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink.  The dp is from the Target dollar bin paper packs from last year.
I thought the top of the image would be cute punched with the MS cobweb punch and below that I added a strip of MS goo which is also a punch.  The bat is a MS punch and the spider is an EK Success punch I bought last year.
The spider web and boo as well as some parts of the witch costume were highlighted with the Sukara Stardust glitter pen.
If you are looking for a great sketch challenge head on over to the Split Coast Stampers Challenge Forum and join in the fun, who knows you may win a wonderful prize...there are lots being offered.
Thanks for stopping by...Have a great day.

Today I get to show you the darling free image I got from Just Inklined.  I'm telling you the weekly freebies are awesome.  Look at this fun guy!!!:

I thought this image was so fun and would make a great image to use for a Hang In There card, Thinking of you,  an image to use on a scrapbook page for a trip to the zoo.  Two of my daughters and their kids, my husband and I all went to the Omaha Henry Doorley Zoo last month and saw this guy there LOL.

My Favorite Sassy Cheryl's Image--Yep that's the Challenge this week!!!

I am the hostess for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week and my choice of theme was,  My Favorite Sassy Cheryl's Image.  You all know it had to be either a Snowman or Bear but did you guess this one:

This is the darling bear that was offered as a Freebie when the Sassy Cheryl's PCP group reached 500 members.  The coloring was done with......copic markers...did I fool ya.LOL.  I did not sponge the outer edge as I wanted to keep a more pastel effect.
The dp is Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby.  I chose the blue lined dp and then used a Tim Holtz scroll mask and airbrushed a darker shade of turquoise.
I wanted to keep the vintage, dainty feel so I added some white lace topped with a ruffly lace with a row of pearls.  I tied a narrow blue ribbon over the lace.
The corners on the right side were punched with a MS corner punch and a large 4 layer flower was mounted in the upper right hand corner.  The center of the flower was layered with a ribbon bow secured with a  half pearl.
Don't you agree this is a wonderful image, but have you seen any of Sassy Cheryl's images that aren't  I love them all....
Be sure to stop by the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog and check out what the rest of the DT has created, they have really outdone themselves, just for me, yeah right, they do it every week!!!
I know Sassy Cheryl's Store has some awesome new images ready for you to bust your budget, so run on over there and see what's up.

Have a great day. and Thanks so much for stopping by.

Darling Fall image by Mo's Digital Pencil--Sadie

I really love the vision of this beautiful little girl selling apples.  Mo's Digital Pencil has created some awesome new images and I have been busy coloring them :)  Thought I would show you Sadie with Apples today:

I fell in love with that beautiful smile and I think she knows she is beautiful even if she has patches on her clothes.
Sadie was colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink.  The border on the right was cut usng a Mini Scalloped die cut border from Spellbinder's  The red apple buttons are from my stash.  I thought the red striped ribbon was cute to tie in the red and white with the blue background which is BoBunny dp.
A red check flower with a button center tied with red check ribbon finishes off this fall project.

Be sure to stop by Mo's Digital pencil shop and see the awesome new images she has created everything from a baby Kai in the tub to the Queen of Hearts.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.  I am off to work in a little bit.

Cute little Wizard James--Just Inklined Freebie

I know we all love free anything but free images are always welcome, especially when they are as beautiful and detailed as the images for sale.  Last week's free image at Just Inklined  was James the little Wizard.  Here is what I created with the image:

James was colored with copic markers and framed with a Spellbinder scalloped Frame.  The frog in the lower right corner is a Cuttlekids frog.

The rest of the design is fairlly simple. green and white layers with a green check ribbon and three green buttons in the upper left corner.James has a sister named Jenny if you want a female version of this image.  Just Inklined just offered another awesome skull freebie today for this week.  I think I may catch up one of these days.  They also offered up a bunch of new images on the website and they are awesome.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Glitz

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week is by the wonderful Paola who chose Glitz as the theme for this weeks Challenge.  I am not sure I did Glitz right but I guess I will find out by the comments left of not left LOL.  Here is my card:

When I first saw Gregory I fell in love but haven't colored him until now...I was saving him for just the perfect challenge.  I love to create little scenes and my new embossing folder, rays, was perfect for the spotlight effect I wanted to create.  I used  my airbrush to color the background leaving the center "light" beam white.
I colored the hand drawn floor in next and the easiest way to get nice hardwood floor look is to use the chisel end of the copic marker pulling away from the seams...does that make sense...try it.  I left the center uncolored and sprayed it with the yellow so it appeared the spotlight was shining on the floor too.
Before I mounted Gregory I sprayed the background with Pearl Glimmer Mist.  That stuff is kind of messy (or I got a bad bottle) but I kind of look good in Gliimmer Mist LOL.
When the Glimmer Mist was dry I mounted Gregory, whom I had cut out leaving the tiniest border all the way around him.  His top hat has Glitter Mist and his bow tie and suspenders are colored with Atyou Red Glitter pen.
Because Gregory is a little Star, I added the star in the upper left corner, with a rhinestone and outlined in the Atyou Clear glitter pen.  The final item was the sentiment stamped in the lower right edge of the card which says "Doin the Happy Dance"

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Because I am not much of a Glitz and Glitter kinda girl I thought this worked for me and the Challenge :)

Final Sneak Peeks for Riley and Company Release tonight!!!

Are you all ready for the Riley and Company Blog Hop and release of these awesome stamps to be available for you to purchase?!?
I have two sneak peeks for you today and my final two projects tonight during the Blog Hop:

Here is Raking Riley:

I have kind of gone back to some backgrounds that I really enjoyed creating last year with the embossing folders.  This is the second folder in the set and I really like the look.  I kept the colors in the browns and neutrals.
The kraft back panel was the perfect backdrop for the MS corner punch.  I rounded the corners on the leaf embossed layer to show a little more of the corners without making the leave panel smaller.
Raking Riley was colored with copic markers and sponoged with distress ink.  I added an Autumn metalic brad from my stash.
I love the look of the wide striped ribbon and had some brown and white I thought would be perfect...what do you think?  I just tied a knot close to the edge because I thought a bow would just be too big. The final touch was a little metalic Thank you  charm tied on with twine.

My next project is not a card....yeah I know: you can only send out so many Halloween cards.

I just wanted to show how cute the little Halloween Moose are as gift tags.  I love my pillow pouch die cut and used some cute halloween dp. The only think I did was punch a hole in the corner of the Chief Riley to tie the orange checked ribbon through.  Very simple, but I think it is perfect for a little Halloween treat for a co-worker or friend.
Be sure you check out all the DT projects for today and don't forget to stop by the Blog Hop which starts at 9:00 Central time at the Riley and Company Blog.  See you there!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day..see you later :)

Riley and Company Sneak Peek #3 and Riley Challenge

Today I have the third Riiley and Company  sneak peek which I have also made into the Riley Challenge card...Yeah I know, the challenge card should have been posted yesterday, I'm a day late.  It's not that I struggled with the challenge but must admit that I don't usually make full cards, just card fronts, therefore, there is no inside to decorate, LOL....So here is my card:

And the inside is decorated like this:

The Hiking Riley was colored with copic markers and whilc the image was still in the spellbinder die it was airbrushed to give the nice crisp white border.    The leaf mask was sprayed with my copic airbrush system as well to give the leaf pattern and give the appearance of Riley hiking through trees...Okay use your imagination.
Hope you are enjoying all of the sneak peeks as much as the DT is enjoying bringing them to you.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to mark your calendar for the Blog Hop Thursday night at 9:00 Central time.

Ssasy Cheryl's Challenge--Its a Sketch

Hi Everyone I am the hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.  I chose a sketch challenge.  I created the sketch and put it in the folder and then I went to create my card and guess what it didn't follow the sketch exactly.  What do you think, close enough?  Here is the sketch:
Here is my card using Christmas Lamb

I absolutely love Sassy Cheryl's lambs.  Aren't they just the cutest.   I didn't want to make a Christmas Card but thought this would be appropriate for a Birthday Card or a just because I was thinking about you present card.  I chose greens and pinks for my card.  I cut the main image out with my Sweet Stamps Fancy Scalloped edge die.  I mounted the image on foam photo squares for dimension.
The pink edge was run though the cuttlebug with the dotted swiss embossing folder and punched with the large scalloped die-namics die cut.  The flowers are also die-namics die cut flowers with button centers..  To balance the picture I added 3 green buttons to the upper right corner.
Instead of a sentiment I tied a cute hot pink bow with grosgrain ribbon I dyed myself with Su ink refills.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure you check out the rest of the DT blogs and see what they have created for the sketch challenge.

Riley and Company Sneak Peek #2 Fall and Halloween Release

How did you like all the Riley and Company sneak peeks today?  Weren't they awesome.  What a great bunch of Riley's there are in this release.   Here is my FrankeRiley:

FrankeRiley isn't too scarey, I think he is kinda cute!!!  I colored him with copic markers and sponged the outside edge he black label die behind Franke is over stamped with white skeltons.  The same skelton stamp was used to overstamp the black rick rack on the left side of the card.
The black rick rack was topped with a narrow black loop edged ribbon from my stash.  The black polka dot flower in the upper right corner is topped with a button center and over the button I put a halloween brad on top of that after I cut off the brad posts.
The dp is some cool halloween dp I got at Archivers on my budget busting spending spree last week LOL. It was so fun though.
Thanks for stopping by to see my new sneak peek and be sure to check out the rest of the DT blogs to see what they have to show you as well.  Only two more days to the Blog Hop and the new Release stamps will be available.

Have a great day.

Riley and Company Sneak Peek #1 Fall and Halloween

It is finally Monday and I can start showing you the first of 4 days of sneak peeks for the Fall and Halloween Riley and Company Release.  Here is Mummy Riley:

Isn't Mummy Riley just too cute with his bandages trying to look like a Halloween Mummy.  He is starting to unravel...LOL  Riley was colored with copic markers and the large scalloped rectangle spellbinder die was used to cut out the image.   A row of spider webs, a bat and a spider, black polka dot ribbon and my cute little treat box is complete.
The coffin was  created from a MS template I found on the web.  I printed it off on creamy caramel cs and hand drew the pine plank lines.  I used my Copic airbrush system to give the wood grained effect on the coffin.
I have another picture of the side to give you a better idea of what it looks like:

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT blogs to see what sneak peeks they have in store for you this week leading up to the Thursday Blog Hop and Release at Riley and Company.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Inklined--Love You

When I first saw this image from Just Inklined I knew I had to have it because it looks just like my sweet Moppett, who lost her battle with old age  last January at age 15.  I still miss her every day, she was  my best friend, and no  matter what my day had been she was always happy to see me!!! Here is my card using Scamp Special Delivery

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge---White on White

I love the White on White challenges and was excited when Paola chose this as the theme this week for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.  Here is what I created:

It may be a little hard to see all of the embossed layers and the embossed snowflake and tag.  Did I go a little crazy, maybe  but I like it!!! LOL.
I used Pammy's Stocking as my main image which could be colored and used a Sweet Stamps fancy oval die cut to frame her.  You can't see it unless you double click for a close up but there is a lot of gold Atyou gel pen in her hair and the stockings and around the robe.
The embossing folders are the beautiful tree  and Happy Holidays from Sizzix I bought last week and the swirly folder which I believe was the second folder in the Christmas set.

I added a few half pearls as ornaments and highlights and a white sheer ribbon tied aronnd the Tree panel and the tag.  The snowflake was cut around the outline and popped up on a double layer of foam mounting tape.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations, I haven't seen them all yet, but you know they will be beautiful as always.

Mo has added some really cute fall images to the shop so be sure to stop by.  Play along with the challenge for a chance to win an image of your choice in the random drawing. It's not too early to start on those Halloween and Christmas cards!!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Abstract Fall -No coloring!!!

I was messing around the other night when I had a little time.  I got some new embossing folders when I went a little crazy at Archivers the other day LOL, it was fun, I am usually more budget conscious...ya gotta let go sometimes.  Well, anyway I got this awesome Halloween/Fall background embossing folder and here is what I created:
This was so much fun.  If you double click on it you can see the nice raised embossing the folder created.  All I did was brush the negative side of the folder with different fall color momento dew drop ink pads and ran a piece of white cardstock through.   I added a flower and mounted it on some cardstock and my fall abstract picture is done.

Once in awhile I do something besides color but not often. Hope you liked it I'll be back to normal stuff tomorrow LOL.

Thanks for stopping by, just wanted to show you this project to say see I don't just color :)

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Use a Spellbinder die!!

The challenge this week at the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is to use a Spellbinder's die, thanks for another great challenge Jodi..  I have just a couple. LOL, so combined a couple to show off this pumpkin head called Almost Headless Horseman:

The challenge is to use Spellbinder Dies,  I used 3 different ones. The Scalloped Rectangles which are the main image and orange background die cut.  The scalloped petite border dies, which are the purple and orange with the ribbon at the base of the image.
The image is colored with copic markers and I loved this dp I picked up at Michael's last week.  Mounted them on black cs and added some black antique buttons, a trio of MS punched bats and my not so spooky card is complete.
As always Sassy Cheryl has been busy creating a bunch of new images for you, and they are awesome, so many for Halloween and Christmas, Santas, Snowmen and a Lamb that has my name written all over it.
The DT has created some awesome projects for you to see this week and now that things have slowed down and the kids are back in school, take a few minutes to play along with our challenge and you might be the lucky winner of the 5 dollar gift certificate...

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day.

Just Inklined Halloween Challenge

Are you ready for the Spooky and not so Spooky images of Halloween as created by Just Inklined?  Here is what I created using Frank and Penny Monster:

Penny Monster is so happy her daddy Franke dressed up for Halloween to go Trick or Treating with her.  She loves Halloween because no one is afraid of her sweet Daddy on Halloween, he looks normal.

Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love to see all the little kids dressed up.  I couldn't decide which of the Just Inklined characters to use so I merged them into one image for my card.  I used some spider infested dp in the eerie Halloween color of ghoulish green LOL.  The contrasting black details add just the right touch, the black goo dripping from the top, the black flowers and the spider sentiment saying Boo!!!  I tore the dp for the black band in the middle, a couple of buttons and Penny Monster and Franke are ready to drop by your house BWAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT members blogs to see what wonderful image they used to create this special Halloween Challenge.  We would love to have you play along by going to the Just Inkilined website and grabbing (very carefully) the mummy image which is free for you to use, or choose from one of the other awesome iamges waiting for your Halloween creations. Once you have created your card go to the Just Inklined website and enter it. Your entry could be drawn for one of these fabulous prizes:

1st Prize £10 of Just Inklined Store Credit
2 runners up of one Just Inklined Digital Stamp
Winners will be announced Monday 20th of September.
Thanks for stopping by.

Just Inklined -- Rest in Pee....?

Just Inklined has created a dozen new Halloween images this week and they are awesome!!! When I saw this image, called Rest in Pee,  I knew I had to have it, I can't help it I  like humorous cards and images :)  Here is my card:

Isn't this a hoot!!!  The image was colored with copic markers and the outside edge was sponed with distresss ink.
The dp is some single sheets I picked up at Michael's last week-end and I thought it was perfect for the colors in the image.
I resisted the MS bat punch as long as Ii could but when I went to Archivers today it just fell in my basket and I'm glad it did because I love it on this image. The black flowers are rolled paper flowers and the green foliage is a MS punch.  The sentiment was computer generated, punched with a SU circle punch and mounted on a black scalloped circle punch also from SU.
Be sure to check out the new Halloween images at Just Inklined so you will be ready to play along with the Hallween Challenge on Monday September 13.
Catch you all later.  Having a fun play day today :)

Pumpkin Pushing!!!

I had some time to color yesterday and here is one of the fun images I colored.  Isn't this just too cute??!!!

The little bee and ladybug boy are so cute pushing this pumpkin up the grassy hill is a new image from Sassy Cheryl's last week called........Cliff Hanging Pumpkin pushing.  I couldn't resist this as a sweet fall image and it was so fun to color.

The image was colored with copic markers and the sky and parts of the grassy area were airbrushed with my copic airbrush system.

The little ladybug in the upper right corner was punched out with my ladybug corner punch, I like her gliding along the edge of the paper.  I left the embellishments to a minimum, a couple of buttons and a rolled paper flower were enough as I really didn't want to detract from the cute image....no I wasn't just being lazy... :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Be sure to stop by later or tomorrow for a new fabulous Halloween image from Just Inklined.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Fancy Folds!

The Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week is awesome and the hostess is Paola who chose the theme, create a card with fancy folds.  Well, I don't know how fancy they are but I always like to make this card:

Wouldn't this little" Shy" be a perfect Thank you card?!?  I chose the dp first as I always use double sided cardstock for this project.  It is made from 1 8 1/2 X 11 sheet.  The instructions for this project are on SplitCoast Stampers  Resources section.  It is called a Diagonal Double pocket card.

Because I chose the dp first, which I seldom do, I colored Shy's little dress to match the seafoam green of the dp.  Instead of sponging around the outside of the die as I usually do I used two different color copic markers to create a golden ray behind Shy.  I like the way it turned out.  Did I mention she was colored with copic markers, I'm sure you were wonderfing LOL.

I used my new MS border punch for the loopy border on the edge of each diagonal fold, two white grosgrain ribbons with knot bows, a few brads to hold the pieces together and my sweet Shy angel is ready to present a tag message added to the pocket, or a gift card would fit nicely for a Birthday gift.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects, I'm anxious to see them all myself.  I haven't had a chance to peek yet...

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by the store and see what Mo has added, and you just know you can't live without :).

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Buttons, Bows and Glitter /Snowman!!!

This week the Challenge for Sassy Cheryl's is so much fun!!!  Use a Snowman and give him/her buttons, bows and Glitter.  Fun Fun Fun!!!  Here is what I came up with:

Isn't this just the cutest snowman called Flat Bottom Snowy, with the buttons, scarf, hat and mittens.  He looks like he has eaten a few too many snowballs with something fattening included LOL!!!
I chose to use red, white and blue  because I really like the red and blue with white...not really ready for all the Christmas colors yet, but I do love my snowmen.
The snow beneath the snowman is Martha Steward Snow glitter and the snowman is covered with fine Martha Stewart glitter (but you can't see it very well in this photo).
The largest red button is tied with the same red checked ribbon as the red under panel.

It was a really long week-end and being the always on the ball person I am I totally spaced off the fact that I had to post my card to the DT folder to be included in the challenge line up.....URGHHHHH!!! So Sorry Peggy ,Cheryl, and Jodi who is the challenge Hostess this week.  I posted my project in spite of my brain fart!!  Sorry, it was still Sunday to me today and since I had a really busy week-end with family, which was sooo much fun, I just messed up.

Be sure to check the rest of the DT creations,  I know they will be awesome, they always are!!1

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

This little Moose is having so much fun bouncing along on his blue happy face bouncy ball!!!

This was a new release a couple of months ago and is still one of my favorite "fun" Moose images.  Perfect for so many occassions.

Buttons and Bows--Just Inklined September Blog Hop!!

Welcome to the September Blog Hop for Just Inklined!!!  If you are arriving here from the mega talented Peri Hill's blog you are in the right place.  If not you should go back to Toni's blog and start at the beginning, you don't want to miss a single project this awesome group of DT members has created for your viewing pleasure.  The theme for the Blog Hop is:  Buttons and Bows.  I have two projects to show you...it is so hard to choose a single image because there are so many to choose from.  Here are my projects:

I gave the Wishing Well a bit of a Vintage feel with the Tim Holtz mask, the strand of faux pearls and the aged ribbon.  The buttons in the upper right corner are from my Grandfather's button collection.

My next Buttons and Bows project showcases the newest freebie offered on the Just Inklined homepage.  Mummy is just perfect for the Halloween cards  you will be needing soon.  It is a big, fun, holiday here is the US.  Here is Mummy:

This was a fast card to create as there isn;t too much to coloring a Mummy LOL,  The image was punched out with the scalloped die cut and a Martha Steward spider web border punch was used to created the spiderweb ribbon backdrop under the main image.  I chose a teal polka dot ribbon ribbon to tie my key. The buttons are the 3 in the lower left hand corner and the dragonfly is a button as well.  Three dew drops in the upper right corner and my card is complete with buttons and bows.

I feel so honored the DT chose me as one of the Guest Designers for September and I am having a ball creating with the Just Inklined images.  Next blog on your Hop is the super talented Jak

Make sure you check out all of the DT projects and check out the Just Inklined store for all of the wonderful images available.  There is something for everybody!!!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Vintage

Okay, I was really in my element with Paola's Challenge  for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week.  The challenge was to add a Vintage touch to your card or project.  Well, Mo's Digital Pencil images often lend themselves well to a touch of vintage or distressing. What do you think of Who Me?:
Nothing says Vintage like Tim Holtz so I used several Tim Holtz elements on my card.  The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink while still in the spellbinder die.

The Tim Holtz Timeworks mask was used to add a large clock on the background layer. It was also overstamped with my favorite vintage element a cracked paint stamp.( You can double click the photo to see the details)
The game spinner, photo film strip, and the Play ticket are all Tim Holtz elements.  The 3 buttons in the lower left corner are from my Grandpa's antique button collection.

Because it is a guy card I didn't add a ribbon but couldn't resist the little twill tab on the right side of the main image.

Hope you liked my Vintage project and don't forget to stop by the rest of the DT to view their projects and leave them a little love.

Have a great day.  Be sure to stop by the Mo's Digital Pencil Store and Blog to see what is new...there are some really awesome new images.

Thanks for stopping by.

Quick Snowman Card--Sassy Cheryl's

I just have a little bit before I need to start getting ready for work but wanted to share the newest Snowman using Sassy Cheryl's freebie 700.  This was made availalbe to all members of the Sassy Cheryl's Paper Craft Planet group...all you have to do is join the group.  Here is Skating Snowman:

Just because I love snowmen does not mean that I love winter.  I have outgrown that, and now snow is pretty to watch fall, but not fun to be out in.  I would much rather sit inside and color a cute snowman so I am thrilled that Sassy Cheryl love to draw them as much as I love to color them.

I just wanted to show you this.  On Friday i will have a freebie from JustInklined and you need to go check it out because is will only be up on the site for a limited time...not sure how long that is but it went up yesterday.  If you want a darling mummy for Halloween.

Gotta go for now and get ready for work.

Thanks for stopping by.
