It's time for the weekly Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and the theme this week is: Feeling the Love. I chose Sassy Sally the Angel:
I think Angels are the most symbolic sweet love image we have, so I chose Sassy Sally the Angel to create my card for this week. I colored her with copic markers and chose a little unusual Christmas color of yellow gold, kind of an Angelic color, don't you think??? I highlighted her wings, dress, and halo with an Atyou glitter pen
Mounted on a sweet Christmas tree bordered dp and highlighted with two MS punched snowflakes with crystal gemstone centers. I airbrushed the border around Sassy Sally.
A beautiful red, green and gold metalic ribbon finishes off my Feel the Love Christmas card brought to your by a Sassy Angel :)
Be sure to drop by the Challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT cards and see what Love they have to show you. Be sure to stop by the store and grab an image and play along for a chance to win two images in the weekly random drawing.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--White Christmas
Yippee, it's Tuesday and that means time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and the theme this week is one of my favorite because it is always to beautifully striking, White on White: I chose the image, Merry Christmas Snowman Bulb, because I saw so many beautiful cards made with it last year and never got around to using it and was not going to make that mistake this year:
I used copics to color the image and airbrushed the highlights. The white card stock was run through my cuttlebug wtih the Snowman sayings embossing folder and my large polka dot folder compliments of my dear DT gf Judy.
I tied the dotted cs with red and white bakers twine and added the same bakers twine to the snow flake embossed tag I created with a small embossing folder also run through the cuttlebug. A holly leaf and a button in the lower left corner and two tiny red buttons in the upper left and this beauty is ready to send to any Sassy friend you have on your Christmas list.
Be sure to drop by the Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT gals have created for your inspiration and grab an image or two and play along in the Challenge. This image above is in the 1.00 dollar bargain bin and if you win the random drawing you win two free Sassy Cheryl's images.
Thanks for taking the time to play along during this busy Holiday Season and have a wonderful creative day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Sketch Design!!!
It's time for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, and our wonderful Hostess Jackie has chosen one of my favorite Challenge themes, a sketch, it takes half of the work process out of the challenge for me :) Gotta love that!!! I chose Wind up Santa for my card:
I love the colors of Christmas they are so bright and inviting. Red and Green. I love to add polka dots for a visual bit of interest. Have I mentioned that I also LOVE snowmen!!! The image was colored with copic markers and airbrushed the sky and ground for highlights. I used ruffled ribbon instead of bands for the cross bands of the sketch. The brad and mistletoe punch were added to highlight the cross section of the ribbon.
I inverted the brads in the upper left corner instead of having them as shown to match the contour of the dp, you gotta do what you gotta do with the paper you are working with, a little diversion from the sketch is okay, it still had 3 dots....that's my story and I am sticking to it :)
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards to see what they created for the sketch challenge. To play along with us, grab a Sassy image, the one I used is in the bargain bin for under a dollar, so no excuses and Cheryl has several new Christmas images perfect for your Christmas cards, yes, it is time to get busy on them!!! Once you have created your sketch card enter it in the Challenge for a chance to win 2 images in the random drawing, remember you must now use a Sassy Cheryl's image to enter.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great creative day!!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challengle--Give Thanks/Food
Time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge//Where does the time go!!! Jeni is our hostess this week and the theme is Food or Thanksgiving. I chose the cutest Sassy Sally's Fall Pumpkin:
Isn't Sassy Sally just the cutest little gardner, carrying this pumpkin for Grandma to bake into a pie for Thanksgiving dinner? I created a plaid skirt for her fall wardrobe. I airbrushed the sky and grass while the image was still in the spellbinder die. The image was mounted on a pretty paisley dp from my stash and I love the beautiful fall plaid ribbon. I will be so sad if I ever run out of this roll :(
The ribbon is a large rolled spellbinder rose and it holds the sentiment oval that says how grateful Sally is for her grandma.
Be sure to drop by the Challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT cards and see what they are thankful for or want to eat LOL. We hope you take time to play along this week during your holiday time. Use a Sassy Cheryl's image for a chance to win 2 images of your choice in the random drawing.
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, for my US friends and for my International friends, have a wonderful week and week-end. Those traveling, drive and travel safely!!!
For my friends still suffering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy I hope you are safe and that you are with friends and can enjoy a Thanksgiving with your family and friends, and thankful you have each other.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Belated Birthday!!
Perfect Challenge for me this week at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge. Jeni, our hostess with the mostess, must really know me LOL. The challenge theme is, Belated Birthday, for which I chose: Sassy Sally's Triple Layer Cake.
I love this sweet image of Sassy Sally with her wonderful cake. I colored the image with copic markers and shaded to help make her stand out a bit. Cut the image with spellbinder dies. I used the double sided dp and when I had cut the layer I flipped it over and staggered it over the opening to look like a totally different piece of dp. I added some buttons, brown and pink stitched ribbon, and a Spellbinder fancy label die for the sentiment which I stamped (yeah I do have stamps ) Sorry I forgot....Again! The story of my life...I never fail to get the cards made in time, but never seem to get them mailed in time. I am so bad :( I still love you !!!
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and see their Belated Birthday cards and thank you to everyone who played along in the challenge and used a Sassy Cheryl image. If you have not played in the challenge for awhile the rules have changed and you have to use a Sassy Cheryl's image to play...The random drawing is for your choice of two images and have you seen the two new snowmen in the frames !!!??? I am in love...
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Masculine
Yippee, it's Tuesday and that means it's Sassy Cheryl's Challenge time. Our hostess this week is the super talented Dawn, and she has chosen the theme, Masculine. I chose to use Noah's Tire Swing:
I chose to create a scrapbook page instead of a card using the image which I enlarged and colored with copic markers...I love the way it turned out. The base is 8 1/2 X 11 the handsome young man is my grandson, Hayden, with a soapbox car and basketball pictures they shared with grandma :)
I love using digital images to enhance scrapbook pages and then adding a couple of photos and I used some lettering created with my cricut. Have I mentioned I love my Cricut LOL.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations and remember that starting this week you MUST use a Sassy Cheryl's image to participate in the Challenge...The winner of the challenge random drawing wins two images of their choice so grab an image, Sassy Cheryl has tons to choose from and there are so many boy images, Who can resist Noah, or a card for a boy/man would fill the challenge too if I am not stretching the challenge...one of my strong suits. LOL.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Total Cuteness--New Edition to Edgar Family!
The newest edition to the Edgar Family was born healthy and I believe happy :), I haven't heard anything to the contrary. Contrary to most Edgar babies, he has a ton of hair. Here is a pictures of the handsome man the night he was born:
and the newest one posted on Mindy's facebook page along with 13 others today.
Just wanted to share a little Grandma happiness for my little week out baby who I am sure is meeting his big sisters this week-end. Should be fun for all.
Just wanted to share these pictures, which I have been meaning to do all week, but then I just had the one so aren't you glad I waited :)
Have a great week-end and spend some time with your kids and grandkids.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge --Round About!!
Dawn is our wonderful hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and she chose the theme Round About!!! I chose this adorable new image called Sassy Sally's Winter Morning Social:
Colored with copic markers and clouds airbrushed. I airbrushed the round dp with a mask of fall leaves and mounted my green doilie which I also airbrushed to coordinate with my fall color pallette. I added a pretty brown and white ribbon streamer and a green flower fastened with an antique brad. I thought the little Sing bingo card was an interesting touch for the Morning Social with Sally's bird friends :)
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for this fun Challenge and be sure to read the NEW challenge rules. there are some new rules going into effect this week. While we love to have so many partipants in the challenges we love to see Sassy Cheryl's images....It is after all Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog and Sassy Cheryl's images we are promoting here LOL.....To partipate in the Challenge you MUST use a Sassy Cheryl's image, there are so many adorable images and Cheryl has prices and images for everyone....There are always images on Sale....Cheryl has a sale every Friday so there are no excuses to not play along if you love Sassy Cheryl's images as much as we all do...The prize for the random drawing is two images of your choice.....
Be sure to keep those crafters and friends on the East Coast of the US in your thoughts and prayers as they are being ravaged by Hurricane Sandy as I type this Post. Stay safe and dry.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day!!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Black and Orange
It's that time of week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week the challenge is to use Black and Orange!!! I love Halloween, it is my favorite holiday. I love to see the little ones dressed in their costumes and so excited to get a treat..... For Ann's Challenge this week I chose What's Up Turkey:
Isn't she just adorable?!? I don't usually cut my images out completely but it just fit the background perfectly with the halloween sayings behind her . The little spider with the silly grin who could not possibly be the one saying Boo!!!
I used my goo punch along the top of the image and drizzled orange 3D paint along the drips to emphasize them. In keeping with the black and orange I used the black and white polka dot ribbon along the side to divide the sentiment from the image which by the way was colored with copic markers in case there was any doubt LOL.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog to check out the rest of the DT projects to see what wonderful Black and Orange creations they have to show you and I am sure that Sassy Cheryl has an image or two for you to grab to join in the challenge for a chance to win two Sassy Cheryl images...now that is an awesome prize any day......

The Challenge this week at Sassy Cheryl's is Think Fall and the hostess if our own Ms Judy. Sassy Cheryl has some really awesome fall images and I chose Sassy Sally's Swing:
I love this sweet Sassy image and colored her with copic markers and added some soft clouds with my airbrush. The left side was embelllished with a peach cs which was punched with the MS lattice fence and I added some brown and white baker's twine onto which I added some fall leaves I punched and sponged with brown and green edges. I added a silk fall leaf in the upper right corner under the image.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Inspired by.....
It's Tuesday, and that means Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is up. Dawn chose the theme Inspired by...and chose the following beautiful picture as your inspiration:
I decided to take the shutters and flowers from the picture as my inspirations and created the following fun card using Noah is all ears:
Not sure this is exactly what Dawn had in mind, but I was so good last week, I knew I was stretching my goodness to its limits LOL..... If I remember you can use elements from the image and create your own, colors or only an element or two and I used the shutter, created from an Asian Lantern, vase and coordinating paper flowers. Reminds me of when we took the kids to Disneyland when we were stationed in California.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and it was great to see so many of you play along in the challenge this week. Be sure to grab a Sassy Cheryl image and play along this week, there are so many new cute images and there are always images in the 1 and 2 dollar bin that every one can afford a Sassy image to use.
Thanks for stopping by and have a super fun creative day.

Mo's Digital Pencil--Die's and Punches Challenge
The challenge this week at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge is to use a Die Cut or punch. What a surprise... I chose to use my new favorite die cut, the Cuttlebug Daisy flower, on this fantastic Mo's image called, More:
I love the Mo's images created from classic novels such as Oliver Twist and this is no exception. I wanted to keep the classic neutral tones of the times the novel was written and the vintage tone. My die cut is, as mentioned above, the daisy flower which is a kit from Cuttlebug which includes the outside petals, inside petals, the inside circle center base, and the petals, which I did not add to this flower. I added a dew drop to the center of this one to match the dew drops on the photo corners on the other corners.
The photo corners started out silver but I airbrushed them brown to tone them down to match the tone of the card. Even though the image is called More, I kept the card very simple to show off the wonderful image.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you this week and grab an image to play along, Mo has lots of new images for you, always fun when Mo has been in an extra creative mood and there are so many wonderful new images in the shop for Halloween and Christmas. I know I have a long list :) Be sure to play along in the challenge for a chance to win an image...always an added bonus....

I love Count Dracula, Noah, what a cutie, and so fun to color with copics . I loved adding the tree, ghost, bat, and pumpkin die cuts cut with my cricut from my Paper Doll cartridge and the fence punch which I distressed a little by cutting a few pieces from it.
A few buttons were the only other embellishments I added to this page.
This will be a scrapbook page to compliment a second page of grandkids this year...

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Buttons
Thursday means Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and this week the theme is Buttons...now everyone has buttons and they are so easy to add to any of Mo's beautiful images. Here is what I created using Fall Fairy Jesen:
I love coloring ghost pumpkins, they, to me are more interesting to color than the everyday orange pumpkins, LOL. I wanted to color Jesen in tans and burnt oranges and didn't want the orange to over power the colors.
The buttons are tied with bakers twine and I used one of my hoarded dragonfly buttons for this card.... :) Mounted on a fall inspired paisley dp and a brown polka dot with a kraft base my button challenge card is ready for the Fall season.
Be sure to check out the beautiful cards created by the rest of the DT members, and now that the kids are in school, play along in the challenge for a chance to win a Mo's Digital image...there are some new halloween ones in the store.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day!!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--It's a Sketch!!!
Yeah, it is Tuesday and that means a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and it's a Sketch brought to you by the awesome Dawn:
I love a sketch challenge and used Sassy Charlie The Wicked Witch of the West. I think followed the sketch pretty closely for me, Dawn would be so proud of me :). I even purchased a new paper pack of Halloween paper, for this season from Michaels, by Recollections, lots of fun papers.
Colored with copics and all edges were sponged with distess inks. MS spider web border under the ribbon...love that border punch :)

Pendants made from hardware Washers!!! How fun :)
Hi everyone, I have had a little time this week to play since I took the week off from doing Design team cards last week and I found a fun tutorial on Pinterest on making pendants from washers. Yeah, the ones you use to put on bolts before you put the nuts on...who would have thunk you could use them to make a pretty necklace but look what I have made this week:
Here is my first attcmpt which I made from a pink washer which is plastic and thoughtfully given to my by my sister in law Shirley...Thanks :)
I didn't want to use the same items used in the tutorial which were designer paper and modge podge so I varied the instructions to fit what I wanted the end product to look like. I painted the pink plastic disk with regular house paint, and let that dry. then I used Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint in brown which I had here and love the antique effect and thought it would loook pretty with the roses and pearls. I put it on thick to get the most crackle from it and dried it with my heat gun, not a real patient person.
Once that was dry I added the pearls and roses and covered the whole thing with Crystal effects. The only problem with that was the crystal effects takes a long time 1-4 hours to dry.. It kept running down through the hole in the center and I had to keep removing it with a wire and kept it on my finger, which means I had a lot of crystal effects on my hands LOL. It finally got to the point where I could lay it on a piece of hard plastic to set up for the night and by morning it was ready to add the necklace hardware.
After I made the first one I decided it would be fun to make a few more and decided to try using actual metal washers...well, the paint doesn't stick to stainless steel washers very well, so I had to lightly sand them, no big deal. I bought two different sizes and here are three more medallions that I made. I am having a lot of fun. Something a little different and fun from coloring and card making.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Layers
Happy Thursday and welcome to the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and the theme Layers. This can be interpreted a lot of ways but I really wanted to use this darling new image from Mo so my choice is to use the layers of Odette's tutu to fulfill the theme:
Oh, I am in love with this darling little ballerina with her sweet little puckery smile and that curly topped head of hair. Colored with copic markers and highlighted with pink and clear glittery Atyou pen.
Layered in pink and Pink and white checked designer paper. I added a pink and white polka dot sheer ribbon, a silver lace photo corner topped (layered) with a hand made pink rose bud and in the lower left corner I created a delicate floral cluster of two rose buds and a new Daisy quilled flower in pink and white. Had to play with my new kit :) There is an additional layer of a lace paper doile under the main image layer. That is a lot of layers for me.....I think she is just the cutest thing and because she is she will sit on my shelf for just a little bit :)
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT and GDT members have created for you, I know it is going to be wonderful. Play along in the challenge for a chance to win a Mo's image and Mo has so many new, and old images that I can never get enough......Check out the store.
Here in the States it is a Holiday week-end called Labor Day week-end and because it is my MIL's 90th Birthday this week-end there is going to be a celebration and the whole family is coming in so I have taken the week-end off from work so have a wonderful 4 day week-end off...like a mini-vacation LOL. It will be so nice...So looking forward to seeing all of the kids and grand kids...
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day!!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Back to School
It's Tuesday and that means it is time for a new Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, aren't they fun!!! This week Jeni has chosen the theme, Back to School and for most children this is fun, some have to Cowgirl Up for it including our Cowboy Sally:
Colored with copic markers in pink and brown with green, she is a cowgirl after all. I mounted her on a piece of notebook dp which I punched with a SU spiral punch and then I had a perfect Corrective Action tag, because you know this little Cowgirl is going to get a note from the teacher and her parents are going to lay down the law!!! hopefully not too many of the boxes will be checked.
You all know how much I am addicted to flowers and I made the beautiful flower in the lower left corner with a new cuttlebug quilled daisy kit which included the quilling pen, 4 dies and stems, how cool is that. Took me about 5 min to roll it all together, I see a lot of these in my future, oh quit groaning, you know you love them LOL.
Be sure to drop by the Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you to see.
I know Sassy Cheryl will have some new images for you and be sure to grab a couple and play along with us for a chance to win two images in the random drawing which is held every week.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Distress it
Oh, I am in love, the challenge this week at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge is Distress it. Anyone who knows me knows that I love Vintage and so this is right up my alley. I had a special gift to make and decided to make a piece of framed art and not card. I used the new Adventure Guy:
This was perfect to symbolize all of the memories and treasures of adventures new and old . The metal tag which, of course, would not photograph well, says Enjoy the Journey. Love all of the, Tim Holtz, embellishments that always add so much to the distress, antique feel of my creation. A really fun size to work with, The frame is 8X10 so I enlarged the image as big as I could and still managed to keep the print image from distorting the pixels at about a 5x7 printed image...pretty cool huh!
Hope my friend likes it.
Be sure to drop by the Challenge blog and check out what the rest of the DT has created and then join the challenge for a chance to win a Mo's Image. Mo has some new images that are just too cute so be sure to check them out.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--They Say It's Your Birthday!!
Hello and Happy Tuesday!! Are you ready for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge which this week is, They Say It's Your Birthday!!! I chose the super cute: Sassy Sally Plays Dr. Seuss:
Isn't Sally just the cutest little Dr. Seuss character with the cat in the hat, hat on??? I love anything Dr. Seuss and used to read them to my children all the time.... My sentiment reads Balanced Another Year??? Makes the image work for the Birthday Theme. Pat would have been proud of my creativity LOL.
Notice the beautiful rolled Spellbinder rose, with the open scalloped petals, yep a new purchase from Michaels this week, couldn't resist. Love to make my own rolled roses and the open scallops suckered me in.....not usually too hard LOL.
Be sure to drop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you to see , I know that Sassy Cheryl will have created something new for you to not be able to live without, I always find something. While you are there grab an image or two and play along in the challenge for a chance to win a couple of images, the drawing is random so that means anyone can win, why not you!!!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Friends
Thursday means it's time for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge and the theme is Friends. Here is what I came up with using Going UP :
While this is such a simple image, it speaks volumes to send a special greeting to a Friend. Perfect for the Challenge, and perfect for any ocassion. Who doesn't love a little sock monkey and a sweet little pony-tailed girl soaring off with an over sized balloon to wish someone a Happy Birthday, Way to Go, or Thinking of you. So many possibilties.
Be sure to drop by the Challenge blog and see what all of the DT and the GDT members have for your to see this week you are going to be in for a real treat. Grab an image and play along in the Challenge, we would love to have you.

Yea it is Tuesday and that means that it is time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and the theme this week is your Favorite Color combo. Here is what I chose:
I love coral and teal together and Sassy Sally and her Autumn Leaves. I colored the image with copic markers and sponged with distress markers. Mounted on carmel cs which I edged with my spiral SU punch. I added a poste card tag with a tissue paper flower in the lower right corner, a band of netted trim I love, and a hand made hat pin tied with a white organdy bow. All mounted on a beautiful Vintage polka dot dp with a side band of cute sentiment dp which I thought went so well with the image and color scheme.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT cards. I know that Sassy Cheryl has been creating some new fun fall and Halloween characters so be sure to stop by and grab a couple and play along in the Challenge...you could win 2 images how cool would that be!!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Just for Him!!
Yippee!!! Tuesday is Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Day and Jackie is the hostess this week and has chosen another wonderful theme: Just for Him. I chose Overload at School:
Thinking of all of my grandchildren going back to school this image seemed perfect for the boys who never seem as excited about going back as the girls do, so I though a card might make it a little more fun :) The image was colored with copic markers and mounted with a blue layer left to tie the red and white ribbon at the bottom tied in a knot so as to be more masculine.
The dp's are miscellaneous from my local scrapbook stores I have had in my stash waiting for back to school projects and I used my cricut to create the #1 Student sentiment on the Tim Holtz label. I made the pleated rosette and tied a strand of bakers twine in the apple button in its center.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for this fun challenge theme and be sure to grab an image and play along. A winner is picked at random each week and wins two images of their choosing so jump in and enter, I know Sassy Cheryl has created some super new, cute, and Sassy images this week, so even more to choose from.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

I know a couple of kids would would love to get this card. I love the yarn that I wound around the bottom of the card and attached a brown felt bow with a pink button tied with a pink strand of yarn. I tied all of the buttons with pink yarn.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Pretty Papers
It's time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and our hostess this week is the wonderfully talented Jackie, who chose the theme Pretty Papers. How fun is that. I love dp and what a challenge to pick just the right one for Samantha Cops an Attitude:
I love a kid with an attitude, unless she is mine LOL. I colored Samantha with copic markers and combined blues and greens for her dress and wanted her to have reddish hair as some of my favorite girls have attitude and reddish hair :)
The papers are embossed with sparkes and glitter and I love the colors. Combined with the blue and white checked paper I think it adds just the right touch or pizzaz to this little "Really" girl which is exactly what the sentiment says punched with my label punch and mounted in layers, yeah, and notice, I even matched the checks....!!! it happens....LOL My perfectionist tendencies are here to stay.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations and see what pretty papers they have chosen to showcase their Sassy images. Sassy Cheryl has been busy creating and
" coloring" some of her images and you can purchase them now too.
Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Fancy Borders
Happy Tuesday, it's time for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, and my super talented Sassy Sistah Judy has chosen Fancy Border's as the theme this week. Oh the possibilities!!!
I chose an older Sassy Cheryl's image called Special Stork Delivery Girl as I needed a baby card in neutral tones. Isn't this stork just the cutest guy with his fun party hat and carrying such a darling Sassy baby that if I had really thought about it I might have changed the colors to the yellow at the top of the blanket, looks like the fear of flight may have caused an accident LOL. Just kidding, it is a beautiful. hand crafted baby blanket and don't let anyone tell you any different!!!
The image is colored with copic markers and highlighted the stork feathers with white gel pan. I do feathers like fur, love it.
The fancy borders are the edging created with a MS punch on the white lower layer and the scalloped twist frame showing off the new arrival which was cut with my cricut from the Fancy Frames cartridge.
You can find the darling Special Stork Delivery Girl image in the 2 dollar bargain Bin so if you are needing any baby cards or just a fun bird card, ( you could erase the baby and have a Flying by to say hi card...wouldn't that be cute???) Hey they are digi's, they are versatile...Stop by the store and grab a couple.
Be sure to stop by and see what the DT has created for your viewing pleasure and check out the new images Sassy Cheryl has in the Store. I heard a rumor there is a new Tween kid in town and she is just as Sassy as the rest of the kids LOL.
Thanks to everyone who played the Summer Fun Challenge I loved seeing all of your cards :) Thanks for playing and grab a Sassy Cheryl image and play along this week too!!!
Hope you are staying cool, it is hot here in Omaha so good time to stay in the craft room.
Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day....

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge-/Dancing or Singing and a GD Call !!!
Thursday is here and that means it is Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge time WooHoo!!! This week the challenge is to make a card or project with a Dancing or Singing theme. I chose to create a Birthday card using Penelope's Party Wagon:
I loved coloring this sweet Birthday image, gotta love that hair, and little frilly dresses are so fun to color since I never could get my girls to wear them LOL. Colored with copic markers and sponged with distressed ink.
The main image corners were softened by rounding the corners as were the corners of the music layer behind. Both were mounted on the pretty flowered dp behind.
A Happy Birthday sentiment with 2 cute blue buttons was mounted in the upper left corner and a beautiful border of Tim Holtz organdy rosette flower ribbon was layered at the bottom and accented with a single blue button.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations this week on the Challenge Blog and when you enter the challenge this week and for the next 3 weeks if you are interested in becoming a Guest Design Team member add GD behind your name on the entry to be considered.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative week!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge-Summer Fun
Tuesday means Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and I am the hostess again :) I chose the theme Summer Fun and chose this awesome new Sassy image called: Sassy Sally and Bella Head to the Beach:
I loved coloring this image and added an ocean with white capped waves, sandy beach and the beautiful airbrushed sky blowing in fun scrabble tiles. Can you tell I had a lot of fun creating this card???
I had to use the Tim Holtz pin because it is just like the swimming pool basket pins we had at our City pool when I was a kid, it was Summer....
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and see what Sassy images they chose for their Summer fun Challenge cards, and then grab a Sassy image and play along. I was so excited that so many of you played along with the challenge last week.....Wow, almost 150 of you!!! One lucky winner will get two Sassy images of her choice so enter, only once, and you don't have to use a Sassy Cheryl's image, but how can you resist them?????!!!!!?????
I am sure that Sassy Cheryl will have a new image in the Store ,so be sure to check the store, and see what's new.
Thanks for stopping by, playing the Challenge last week, and have a creative week.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Anything Goes!!!
Woo Hoo, I am the Hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and I decided it was time for another Anything Goes Challenge. Here is the card I created using Avery-Plain 'ole Avery.
Isn't Avery just the cutest demure little sweetie???I decided to color her in shades of purple and teal. I seldom use purple, just not a color I gravitate to :) Colored with copics of course and the I cut the image out with a Friskar's circle cutter and then I cut the scalloped circle with my Cricut. Have I mentioned I love that toy LOL.
The grosgrain ribbon is tied into one of the scallopos and the edge of the double sided dp is tacked down by the circle on one corner and a corner punch highlights the other.
The flowers are tissue paper flowers which started out white and then were airbrushed to match the color scheme :) Love that toy too, couldn't live without my air compressor and air brush.
Sweet little Avery and I want you to check out what the rest of the DT have created for you to see and then be sure to check out the Huge 25% OFF Sale Sassy Cheryl has going on from now until 9PM Thursday so head on over to the Sassy Store and grab some digis while they are on sale, I know I will.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful and Safe 4th of July for my American friends and a wonderful creative week for everyone!!!

This little sweetie could be coming to this Gramma's house, I have lots of granddaughter's. The image was colored with copic markers and mounted on beautiful blue dp and then a sweet paper doilie. A Tim Holtz Journey disc acts as the sentiment mounted in the upper right hand corner.
3 rolled paper flowers and a rolled leaf highlight the lower right corner. Brown and white bakers twine tie in a hugs and kisses charm and 3 dew drops finish this sweet card.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards on the Challenge Blog and leave them a little love along the way. Mo has some new images and they are so fun so check them out.

WooHoo it's Tuesday and time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and Dawn, our super talented hostess, has chosen the theme Summer--any way you want it...Here is Sassy Sally in her Inner Tube:
Colored with copic markers and using my favorite color gradiant technique on the inner tube where the colors fade into each other seamlessly.
The Pool Party sentiment was cut out with my cricut from my Luau cartridge. Hawaiian Flowers and a button and bow to finish this little chillaxing Sassy Sally in her red polka dot suit.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Celebrate the Red White and Blue
It's Tuesday and time for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, Celebrate the Red,White and Blue hosted by the fabulous Peggy. My card as usual has a bit of a twist, you are shocked I know. Noah and his Bear Patches will explain:
My two oldest grandsons never really liked the fireworks as they were just too loud. Noah with his bear just kind of brings back those memories of the days when they would come over to watch the fireworks display from our front yard, since we live 4 blocks from the Country club that has a wonderful fireworks display and we can set our lawn chairs in the yard and see the whole thing start to finish...works for me. The boys would always sit in the house and watch TV during the display, but that is okay, they now sit out with us but they sometimes still wear ear plugs.
Celebrating is all about the Holiday, the fun, picnics, fireworks, family and maybe even some watermelon :)
The DT has some wonderful creations to show you and Sassy Cheryl has some awesome images including Bella to help you celebrate so go on over to the store and grab an image and play in the Challenge this week, we would love to have you. Cheryl has a ton of images in the Dollar bin so check them out too.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day.

Mo's Digital Pencil--At the Park Challenge
I am so excited to be doing a Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week after way too many months of being off on R and R. The Theme this week is At the Park and I merged these two wonderful new images from two different sets. Here is the Card:
The Waiting for the Parade image, and the Shaggy Dog from Sailor boys set, were merged using Photo Shop elements 7 and I love the way it turned out. I love to color fur and what has more fur than an Old Shaggy Dog, LOL. I sponged the clouds in and of course colored the image with copic markers and used white gel pen for the highlighted fur.
A red bow with white dots , a row of 5 blue and red polka dot stars, and a hand made crushed petal flower using red white and blue flower petals are the only embellishments.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you and your Mo's Trip to the Park and check out the Mo's Digital Pencil Store as Mo has been rollin out the new images lately.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderfully creative day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Birthday!!!
It 's time to celebrate at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge as the challenge this week as chosen by the the fun loving DT Sassy, Jeni, is to create a Birthday Challenge project. Easy enough... Here is my card:
The card is actually made using two adorable Bear images called Peyton the Bumbling Bear and Plain Ole Bentley Bear. Peyton seems a little oblivious to the fact that Bentley is flying away with the birthday balloons behind her, or she is grateful, not sure which, but I think the balloons were just bigger than he was LOL. The balloons were covered with glossy accents.
Peyton's dress and Hair bow were dotted with white gel pen. The sky was airbrushed. You know how you just know what you want for the dp for your project and nothing else will work.....that was my dilema for this card....I tried 20 different dp's and knew to begin with I wanted pink and white check and polka dots but didn't have them so after trying all the others and not liking the results, off to Michaels I went....Glad I did !!! See I can do pastel LOL
The flowers are hand made cut with my cricut and airbrushed pink. The sentiment is another sentiment I ran through the label maker but this time I spelled it right. The sentiment says Beary Happy Birthday and I mounted it on the streamers of the pink and white check bow.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects and see all of their wonderful Birthday creations. I know Sassy Cheryl will have something wonderful in the store so grab something and play along in the challenge for a chance to win two images....Everyone needs Birthday cards, Right?????
Thanks for stopping by and have creative day!!!

Altered Welcome Sign using Word Collage and Cricut :)
I have been in a funk lately and decided that part of it might be that I don't take enough time to play...don't ask my husband, he thinks that is all I do....I said don't ask him..... LOL.
I had mentioned to my friend from work Deanna, that I would make her a Welcome sign a while back and have just now gotten it made....good thing she forgot about it :)
I had mentioned to my friend from work Deanna, that I would make her a Welcome sign a while back and have just now gotten it made....good thing she forgot about it :)
The metal base is a Goodwill store find that started out as a calendar which I sanded down and painted, distressed and then painted when I finally remembered to look for a small can of blue spray paint when I was at the store LOL. I airbrushed on the highlight distress colors around the edges where the letters were not going to be. I have trouble getting the letters to adhere to paint that is not the regular spray paint...probably me but I wanted them to stick since it was a gift ..know what I mean :)
All of the flowers are hand made and airbrushed to match the color theme of brown and blue. The key is a dollar bin find from Michaels', Love it. I attached a clear Tim Holtz tag onto which I mounted a vellum butterfly which I sponged with blue distress ink and a rose. In real life they appear to be floating around the key.
I cut up a crochet doilie for the upper right hand corner and tied a brown and white check ribbon to coordinate with the ribbon along the bottom.
I really enjoyed making the Welcome sign and loved the time I spent making this for my friend. I hope she enjoyed it.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day!!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Grad or Dad Let's Celebrate
I was so excited for this Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, chosen by my best bud Peggy. I needed a Birthday card for my husband in a couple of weeks and I have always loved this Sassy Cheryl's image, called Crazy Father's Day, so I just had to use it for his card....Perfect don't you think:
This is just the most fun image for any guy to get for his birthday because when you are old enough to get this card you want something this fun :) I had so much fun coloring it with copic markers and added the most fun colors I could imagine and tried to make him happy without looking drunk :). Gotta find out from Cheryl what his name is so I can send you to the link to buy this fun guy. I think we all have someone to send this card to LOL.
A couple of things about my card, pretty standard except the label at the top. Watched a video of Tim Holtz the other night and he made a label using a label maker and regular card stock cut into a 3/8 in strip and ran it through the label maker. let me tell you, it is easier than it sounds. Just open the top and feed it in, click it until you can see it out the bottom, close it, and start making your band. Hey, if I can figure it out the first time, you all can do it. LOL :) And because I am a retardimus, I misspelled Birthday and had to add the Star to have the A in Birthdy , LOL .... Did you see that before I pointed it out?....you did not!!!!!
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and see what Grads and Dads creations they have for you,,... I think you all might have been a little intimidated by the sketch challenge last week but and are getting busy with kids home for the summer...
Check out the Store too to see what Sassy Cheryl has created for this week because I am sure she has... I think I heard something about an expensive car and fur in hinting about a new image....strange....what could it be LOL.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wondeful creative day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--It's a Sketch !!!
Our hostess this week at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is the super talented Jackie and she has chosen one of my favorite types of challenges.....the Sketch!!! Takes half the work out of the card LOL. Thanks Jackie :) Here is my card using Sassy Sally Reads to Teddy:
The image was colored with copic markers and then cut out with my fiskar's oval cutter. The background label is a frame cut with the cricut and both were sponged with distress ink to just bring out the edges a little.
I used red and white polka dot dp for the main dp and white for the cs base. A white grosgrain ribbon simply tied on the left side keeps the ribbon element simple and I love the flower I created for the upper right hand corner. I bought the i-Top covered brad maker several years ago and haven't gotten it out for a while but I saw it the other day and thought it would be perfect for this challenge. I tied bakers twine in two red buttons and walla, my sketch is complete,( and I didn't even cheat, too much, I changed the size of the circle to an oval and the panels have larger gaps between, ) and my card is ready to send. Love the way it turned out :) Yea Pat, I'm back, I know you are laughing at my cheating....or my efforts to be good...guess I am getting back to normal LOL.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT and see how closely they followed the sketch...did they turn it, or add flowers and a sentiment or buttons...so many possibilities. Also check out the Sassy Cheryl's Digi store and see what my Sassy Boss lady has created for you this week. and as always grab something new and adoreably Sassy and play along in the challenge for a chance to win 2 images ....you can't win if you don't play along and it is so much fun to see what you create...
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Favorite Color Combo
Tuesday and it is time for another wonderful Challenge at Sassy Cheryl's and the hostess is our Sassy Pat, who had chosen the theme, Your Favorite Color Combo: Love it!!! Personally my favorite color combination is blue and brown so that is what I went with and what better image to show off this color combo that the newest image I have gotten....Bella's Flower :
Isn't he/she just the cutest most precious looking dog. I love the smile on his face and he just looks like he could be getting into something at any second, but for this second he is offering a flower he dug up out of your flower bed LOL. Gotta love the little lady bug on his nose :)
The image was colored with copics and airbrushed for sky. I love the fun dog print twill tape I used for the bottom, always fun for my dog cards . A little punched fence a couple of stars and a Tim Holtz PLAY tag and hook and chain to represent a leash tag.
In case you hadn't guessed my favorite colors are blue and brown. I might have mentioned that. They are colors you can use for fall and winter and mute them for spring and summer so they work year round.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and see what they have created for you. Sassy Cheryl always gives away two images to the random winner of the challenge drawing so enter a card to win...We would love to have you use a Sassy image because they are soooo darn cute but you don't have to. Check out the Sassy Cheryl's store too, I'm sure there is a new image or two also Cheryl is always creating something new and Sassy.....
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful creative day
