Working on Christmas Gifts and my first Blog Candy

I made it home before the sleet started tonight. We have had a couple of inches of sleet and we are supposed to get about 4-6 inches of snow. I may or may not go to work tomorrow. While I was sitting out the storm I decided to work on some Christmas gifts, I would hate to rush into anything you know!

My oldest daughter requested some cards for all different occassions. I am going to part with some that I have made and never given away(that would be the majority of my projects). I wanted to make her a set of cards from the new stamp set I got yesterday. This is the set that I requested as my prize for winning the Christmas Card Contest a couple of weeks ago.

Inspired by Nature is the name of this set sold by Stampin Up. This was one of the sets that I had on my want list before I gave up my demo with SU but I never got to order it. When I won the Christmas Card contest the sponsor, Susan Daly, is a SU demo and the prize for each category was a stamp set up to a 25.00 value, so I finally got it. Okay, card details:

I punched an oval with my giga marvy oval punch for my mask. I placed the mask where you see the light center. I used my copic airbrush to spray the desired colors. Most of the cards have 3 different colors combined for the backgrounds. I then lightly sprayed the area that I had masked.

I stamped the corn flowers and grass, which are two different stamps, in a solid coordinating color as a silhouette. I have always loved silhouette stamps and now they are popular with everyone, who would have guessed.

I think that I will have to make a set like this for myself. I didn't put any sentiments on them because my daughter has sentiment stamps and can add the one she wants when she wants to give them out.

Which one do you think is my favorite? I think this should be my first blog candy, what do you think? The first person to leave a comment with the correct answer to this question will win a set of cards just like this.

Thanks for stopping by. Remember to leave a comment with a guess of my favorite of the four cards and you could win a set just like it.

Bye for now.

Cathy
