Yippee, it is Thursday and that means Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge. Our awesomely talented hostess this week is Dawn, haven't her challenges been fun? Her theme is to Pick a Season! Here is my card:
My two favorite seasons are Spring and Fall, Spring because the beautiful flowers, budding trees and chirping birds are back, I know Winter is over. Fall provides so many beautifuil colors and wonderful weather, not too hot and not too cold, perfect for me.
I think Rae with Journal, one of the Dani and Friends girls is beautiful. I love to color her, and to keep with my, maybe Fall, maybe Spring, I wanted the colors to be vibrant and I think I accomplished this. I like pink and green together so those are the colors I chose for Rae's outfit. Used the TopNote die cut from SU for the main image and only added a ribbon topped with a tiny rose. I added 5 more paper roses to the vines on the left side of the middle layer.
I know the rest of the DT have some awesome cards to show you so be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and check them out. We would love to have you play along and there is always a chance to win a free Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Turkey on Strike
Just Inklined has so many awesome stamp, digital images, that I can hardly decide which ones to buy and color next. I chose Turkey on Strike and it was so much fun to color, and makes me smile. What do you think?:
True turkey colors are a little boring so I opted for more fall, fun colors which I colored in with copic markers and the edges were sponged with distress ink. The dp is from my stash and purchased from the dollar bins at Target.
I added a strip of orange and yellow for a little added interest and to break up the background a little and focus the interest on the Turkey.
The dp was busy enough I decided to go with a large orange button in the lower left corner and two tabs with brads in the upper right corner.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure you stop by the Just Inklined Store to see all of the awesome new images they have to offer. There is truly something for everyone, beautiful flowers, building landscapes, wrinklies, animals of all kinds, gorgeous birds and lots of beautiful Christmas images. Check it out.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Must be Tuesday!!! Guest Designer Challenges
Yep, it is Tuesday and that means Sassy Cheryl's Challenge. Our hostess this week is the wonderfully talented Lily, who chose the theme, Anything but a Square. Here is my card:
Isn't this little, Raggedy, called A Fat little Raggedy, just the cutest little thing. I always loved my traditional Raggedy Ann doll my mother made when I was little. I tried to color her in more vintage colors in beiges and blues. Calico prints were always big in vintage everyday use. and I love this dp for my vintage cards right now. I used the same dp for hte flowers which I distressed and staged the flower petals to be less than perfect,
The ribbon is dyed seam binding which has been heat treated for the vintage look. I really want to try this, I have bought the seam binding just haven't taken time to make any yet.
I know the Challenge was to make a card anything but a square and I technically made a rectangle so it qualifies. I wanted to use my cute little Raggedy and I think an Oval might have fit my vintage touch I wanted, but a circle would have been too modern.
Be sure to check out the DT challenge cards, I know you won't be disappointed.
Important Information about the Guest Designer Challenge. The next two challenges will be used to choose the next Sassy Cheryl's Guest Designer for a month. The Contest will run for this challenge and the next Challenge as well and the DT will choose the Guest Designer. We would love to have you play along and be the next Guest Designer.
As always, Sassy Cheryl's has new images for you and they are super as always.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

I need to clarify the Newsletter confusion!!
I don't profess to be the brightest pea in the pod and just wanted to make sure you all know about the Just Inklined freebie images I keep commenting on and showing on my blog.
I can honestly say, I really thought the newsletter came directly from the Just Inklined blog, but it is acutally the store where the Just Inklined images are sold that offers the freebie in their weekly newsletter.
I hope you will all support these beautiful free images by looking through all of the incredible images offered by Just Inklined, I know you will love the variety and incredible detail in each and every image.
If you have any questions just contact me and I will try to clarify better if needed.

Gorgeous Freebie from Just Inklined!!!
I'm so in love with the beautiful flowers created by Just inklined but this week's freebie is gorgeous and I couldn't wait to color it when I got it yesterday. Don't you agree?":
I really like the way this turned out. I have been wanting to use one of my Spellbinder Impressabilities with my airbrush and I think it turned out really elegant. I used three different copics to get the color I wanted to match the peony.
The peony was colored with copic markers in dusty mauve tones. That is a favorite color of mine, it isn't pink and it isn't brown but just a nice pretty color. Because I didn't want to cover up too much of my beautiful background.I didn't add any other layers except the die cut frame.
I forgot to mention I used a Sweet Stamps die for the border around the peony and cut it "out of the box" on the lower half to allow the leaves to be outside of the frame.
I added a row of lace crochet ribbon under the flower frame and added a Flower name tag in the lower right corner which I ran the ribbon through the slot ends of the tag and by using a wider ribbon than the slot you get a cute little puckered end you don't have to tie.
Hope you enjoyed this beautiful flower and if you want one for your self just go to the Just Inklined store and sign up for the Weekly Newsletter and you can have this and aother gorgeous freebie every week.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week-end, gotta go watch the Nebraska ball game.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Fall
Well, you may have noticed my card was not in the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge line up today. I have been really under the weather this week and haven't done much except sleep and go to work, not much crafting done and I didn't get my card done to get in the file for today...I hate when that happens. The hostess this week is the Super Talented Dawn and her challenge is a color challenge. I kinda forgot that part but I did remember the fall part and went with a fall theme card: Here is my Gimme a Cheerleader:
Okay, after I got the card finished I remembered it was supposed to be fall colors, not just a fall card but since I am late anyway I decided to post it. To me fall means football and football means cheerleaders and my oldest granddaugher, Ashlee is a Varsity Cheerleader, and her school colors are blue and white. I just threw in the red to make a prettier card...so sue me.
Be sure to stop by the Mo's Digital Pencil Blog to check out the rest of the Design Team Members cards...they will probably all be in fall colors LOL.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Riley and Company Fall Challenge
I just had to use Poppin Pumpkin Riley for my fall card, he is just too cute!!! Therese is the hostess this week for the Riley and Company Challenge and chose the theme Fall/Autumn. Here is my card:
The image was colored with copic markers and SHHHH I didn't sponge the outside edge :)
The dp is from my paper stash, I love polka dots and this color was perfect for my card. The flowers are felt from SU years ago and I thought t he texture was perfect for this card. I cut a strip of fall sentiments an orange checked ribbon and my Fall Challenge card is complete.
Be sure to check out the Riley and Company blog for the rest of the DT creations and see what is going on at the Riley and Company store.
Thanks for stopping by, always glad to see you!!!

Furry Friends--Theme for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge !!!
I'll bet you thought I would do a bear...I am too predictable so I used this adorable Terrible Sock Trouble for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week. :P What do you think?:
This looks like something that would have happened at my house when the kids were little.
I thought it would be fun to color the girl in bright still not fall colors and add this fun fan pleated medallion flower centered with a spiral flower center.
The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink. I mounted the image on a double mat to add colors to coordinate with the image and paper.
Be sure you stop by the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT has created and what or who their furry friends are.
Sassy Cheryl's has new images for you tomorrow so be sure to check them out and there is a new bargain image section where the digi stamps are only 2.00 each time to stock up!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Artistic Outpost--Sleigh Ride
A few weeks ago I saw one of the new Artistic Outpost stamp plates called Sleigh Ride on my friend Lynn's Blog and I knew I had to have it. Don't you agree it was a must have? :
I used the tree stamp which I masked behind the boy and girl on the sleigh and added a few snow flakes to the sky. The Merry Christmas, Scroll with Ivy and the side ivy plants are three different elements included in the stamp plate.
I added a ribbon of Tulle which I tied into a knot. It is a sparkly red glitter tulle that has shed sparkles all over my desk. If you see red sparkles on my next few projects you will know why LOL.
It was so much fun to play with an Artistic Outpost set again, makes me wish I was still on the DT but I can only do what I can do and so I will have to be content to play with the sets when I can.
This set has lots of awesome elements and is wonderful for Vintage Christmas cards, journales, scrapbook pages etc.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Sassy Cheryl's Sepia Tone Snowman
What.. you are saying, A Sepia snowman, what too close to the road LMBO!!!! No, I just thought it would be really pretty to color in brown tones and here is what I came up with:
This was so fun to color, This little snow angel is called Fat,Round Snowman, from Sassy Cheryl's. I found this wonderful Graphic 45 Christmas paper today at my lss today, I love the color and the subtle snowflakes on it. I thought the brown and white check ribbonset it off nicely too.
It is late and I am going to bed, just wanted to share this little happy card with you.
We are having a beautiful fall and I hope it lasts a long long time as from what they are saying it is supposed to be a winter similiar to last winter here in the midwest...I know I am not ready for htat.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week-end.

Yeah it is Thursday--Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge!!!
Yep, Thursday and Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge is here. The mega-talented Dawn is our hostess this week and created a wonderful Sketch for us to use. I love sketch challenges and this was no exception. Here is my twisted version:
Isn't this image, called Dormouse from the Alice in Wonderland series Mo is creating right now, just so sweet. I don't know if he is supposed to be sweet but I couldn't resist him, besides he was free for 24 hours yesterday. I colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink.
The beautiful roses were a recent purchase from Hobby Lobby in the Quilling section. There are 4 different colors and 3 sizes of roses already punched and cut, all you have to do is roll them up and glue them together. Much faster than punching a circle, cutting the spiral and then rolling them, I like the look. I added some leaves and punched springs using a MS punch.'
You might notice the dp is the same as I used last week for my Rainbow Blog Hop card but it was just too perfect a print for a tea cup card...
Be sure you stop by the store to see all the awesome new images Mo has come up with this past week and check out the rest of the DT cards as they are awesome as well.
I forgot to mention I turned the sketch sideways to fit the image I wanted to use. I added the flower spray instead of a sentiment tag :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

My Wednesday addiction--SCS Sketch Challenge LOL
I have found I really love playing the SCS Sketch Challenge, it is usually a challenge and I need lots of help with my card creation.. I used a wonderful fall image from Karen's Doodles, it is a freebie this week and it is gorgeous:
This was so much fun to color and I enjoyed the sketch for this week at SplitCoast Stampers. I tied the ribbon where I could have added a sentiment and added one of my favorite paper flowers that only look hard to make, I have gotten pretty fast at making them from scratch, LOL I R trainable!!!
I love the colors of fall and pumpkins are fun to color so this was a very relaxing card to make. I probably could have done a little more with the lower beige strip which I thought about punching a border but I still wanted the image to be the main focal point of the card.
I don't have too many things going on this week so I thought it would be fun to play the challenge again. 3 weeks in a row, I am on a roll.
Thanks for stopping by, I always appreciate your visits and comments.
Have a great day!!

It's Tuesday--Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Use Dimension on your card!!
Tuesday is Sassy Cheryl's Challenge day and Tracey has give us another awesome Challenge--Use Dimension on your card. I absolutely fell in love with On a Roll when Sassy Boss Lady created it last week and not matter what that was the image I was going to use this week LOL!!! What do you think?:
The image was printed twice and I colored one of the sheets and the one I didn't color i ran through the Dotted Swiss Embossing Folder to give the effect of falling snow. Work with me here!!! LOL I airbrushed the sky and added MS snow glitter to the ground. After the second sheet was colored I cut it out. The only hard part was cutting the carrott nose and legs coming out of the snowball. The snow family were mounted on foam mounting squares to give the dimension.
The tulle ribbon is quickly becoming a favorite accent of mine when you want something pretty but opaque. The poinsetta flower is a Sweet Stamps die cut which I added flower soft to the poinsetta center. Can you believe it is the first time I have used flower soft? My local Archivers just started carrying it...I'm in trouble now.
The close up bottom angle below shows the dimension a little better.
This was so much fun, Another wonderful Sassy Cheryl's image...I LOVE her snowmen, and bears, and kids, okay....everything LOL!!! :)
Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog and check out what the rest of the DT has come up with for this challenge, I guarantee you won't be disappointed, they are really cool!!!
I'm sure Sassy Cheryl's has some new images for you this week I can't wait to see them myself.
Have a great day and if you have time play along with us, we'd love to have you!!!
Thanks for stopping by,,love to have you!!

Just Because I had time---Vintage Santa
I love to make Vintage Christmas cards and I decided it was high time I used the Tim Holtz Vintage Santa stamps I bought last year and never used...What's up with that!!!???!!! Here is what I created:
I stamped, yeah, I know I haven't used a real stamp except for the Riley and Company Stamps for ages, I just really love the digital stamps. I stamped with momento Tuxedo Black ink on white cs. The ijmage was colored with copic markers and the beard, hat, and mustache were overcolored with white gel pen.
The kraft panel was embossed with the script folder which I love for vintage cards. I then sponged all edges with distress ink and added them to a cracked paint look dp from A Country Christmas that has no other brand on it, so it had to come from either Hobby lobby or Michael's.
I tied a red checked ribbon onto a Christmas Tree button and three buttons. What do you think am I getting started too early on cards? NAH!!!
It was fun to play and not have a real purpose. Maybe I will look to see if there are any challegnes it might fit. It was just nice to relax and color with no specific challenge or purpose except to create a nice card.
Have a great day.
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate each and everyone of you.

Just Inklined -- Weekly Freebie and funny story :)
I love getting free things, especially digital images that are as beautiful as the images offered weekly by Just Inklined. Here is the freebie this week: Christmas Robins:
I'm going to tell you a kind of funny story about Robins. When Jak sent the DT a similar image earlier in the week it had Birds by a snow covered birdhouse called Kissing Robins. Well being an American and being raised in Iowa and now living in Nebrasks everybody knows Robins migrate and are not around during the cold snowy months. So being the bright child I am, I sent Jak an email saying the image wasn't realistic as Robins are not around to be placed in snow covered houses. I am not sure I would have wanted to be in her office when she got my email.
Jak sents back a very polite email stating that in England they have Robins in the Winter...I responded politely stating it must be just too d....n cold in Nebrasks for the Robins to hang around. Now I need to find out what is up with this LOL I did a Google search of Robins native to the United Kingdom and they have the most beautiful bird called a European Robin that does indeed stay all year round and apparently frequents the lovely English gardens and sings beautifully. I actually think they are prettier than the North American Robin...I love learning new stuff.
I have to keep remembering I am the lone American on the Team, although the Guest Designer this month Joyce is from Canada,
Enough about that, isn't this the most wonderful freebie. I of course colored the beautiful European Robins in the colors shown on the website I found called Birds of the English Gardens. I thought it would be pretty framed with my scalloped spellbinder Don't wait another week to start getting the newsletter so you don't miss out on another single free image and news about all that is going on at Just Inklined. I didn't want to detract from the beautiful birds so just used a MS loopy corner punch for the dp over the white main layer.
A beautifuil ribbon and red spiral flower spritzed with Glimmer Mist. I really like the way it turned out.
Have a great day.

Happy First Anniversary Mo's Digital Pencil Blog Hop--Rainbow
The Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge DT decided that rather than just a Challenge this week we would have a celebratory Blog Hop in honor of the First Anniversary of Mo's Digital Pencil. If you are one of my regular followers, welcome, and if you want to join in the blog hop please start at the beginning which is: the mega talented Dawn's Blog. If you came here from Paola's blog , you are hopping in the right direction. Can you believe Mo's creations have only been in the stamping world for a year?!? The DT was each assigned a color and I was presented with Blue, Here is my mostly blue creation:
Don't you just love the little baby bundle called Kai in the tub, I thought this little bath tub Kai was just the cutest and hadn't created with her/him yet. I chose some dainty flowers and beige dp for this card and added a blue plaid flower and blue rick rack border between the two dp's. The bubble embossing on the beige panel was created with a cuttlebug big spots folder.
The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with distress ink. The water splashes , tub water and spilled water were covered with crystal effects for the true glistening water effect.
The next stop on your hop is the awesome talent Sheila. Each DT member has some blog candy to give away, Mo''s Digital Pencil has generously offered each of us a free image of the winners choosing, so be sure you leave a comment on each DT members blog for a chance to win. The winners will be announced next week when the new challenge is presented.
If you get lost along the way here is a list of the Blog Hop order:
Dawn
Peggy
Elaine
Paola
Cathy-me
Sheila
Lisa
Lydia
Thanks so much for stopping by and celebrating a wonderful year of magnificent creations by Mo's Digital Pencil.

I did the SCS Sketch Challenge again this week!!!
I enjoyed doing the SCS Sketch challenge so much last week I decided to play again this week. I love that I work nights so the challenge is posted before I go to bed so I get to play early!!! Here is the card I created for the sketch challenge:
I love this scarecrow from Mo's Digital Pencil and decided to use this for my challenge card. The sketch was pretty easy which is good for me. I struggle sometimes to come up with card ideas, I prefer to color and well you have to do something with them so I make cards LOL...Having some wonderfully talented sketch artists makes my job so much easier. Thanks
The image was colored with copic markers and mounted on black cs in a double layer with green in the middle layer. The two band layers top and bottom as well as the main dp layer are from a Halloween paper pack from Target last year and I thought they were nice with the image.
I added a couple of pumpkin buttons to the polka dot black ribbon for a little extra detail along with a couple of MS punched bats in the upper right.
Quick and easy sketch, that's what I'm talking about!!! Looks like I spent hours on it and I would have if not for the awesome sketch.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Paper Piecing
The hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is Tracy who chose the theme Paper Piecing. I must admit that as much as I love to color I do enjoy paper piecing. Here is my card:
I had a lot of fun merging these two images, Christmas Moose and Merry Christmas Forest but it wasn't as easy as it looked like it would be, but I really think it turned out fun!!! I thought it would be fun to have the calico trees using one of my favorite Christmas tree dp sheets I have had for a couple of years. I have hourded it as I love the look and not sure I can still get it,but I thought his image deserved my last piece.
The image was colored with copic markers and the paper pieced trees were taped in place. I tried to keep with just red, green and yellow.
The sentiiment was printed on my computer and cut out with the smallest Sweet Stamps scalloped oval die which is a perfect tag. I ddn't tie any ribbons through the ribbon slots but attached it with just the one red button...I know I am such a dork but I didn't want the ribbons to detract from the tag and image but had to say Merry ChristMoose!!!
Be sure to stop by the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge blog and see what wonderful creations the rest of the DT has in store for you and then grab an image and play along. There is always a random drawing for a 5 dollar gift certificate. If Sasssy Boss Lady is true to form there will be new images for your purchasing pleasure today as well.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Riley and Company Challenge--Wedding/Anniversary
The wonderfully talented Therese is the hostess this week for the Riley and Company Challenge. For her challenge she has chosen Wedding or Anniversary. I think my card qualifies....:
I really thought it would be fun, since I am so into the Halloween theme at the moment to use GothicSophie and Franken Riley as the newly married couple leaving the wedding chapel, thus the arch.
They dressed in their best outfits for this special occasion.
Be sure you check out the rest of the DT blogs to see what they have created for your viewing pleasure.
Thanks for stopping by and if you decide to play along please use the tag, Riley 1910, so we can see your creation.
Since yesterday I celebrated my 40th Anniversary, and bless his heart my husband remembered LOL. I think Therese created this challenge just for me, she may have mentioned it is her anniversary too but....
Have a great day.

Just Inklined Blog Hop--Stripes!!!
Welcome to the Just Inklined Blog Hop!!! Our hostess is Karen who chose the Blog Hop Theme of Stripes. I love using striped dp, I think it goes with just about any image, so had fun with this. By the way, if you are one of my regular visitors you should go back to Karen's Blog to start at the beginning, if you came from Peri's blog you are on the right path for the hop, you don't want to miss a single stop along the way :) Here is my Letter to Santa-boy image:
The striped dp I chose is from the Eskimoo Kisses Christmas pack by Cosmo Cricket from last year. The image was of course colored with copic markers and sponged with distress inks.
The snow was created using MS snow glitter and the snowflakes were punched with two different MS snowflake punches and covered with fine MS glitter.
Last year I found this darling Christmas postage stamp, stamp and hadn't used it until this card, I knew when I bought it I needed it LOL. I thought it matched the theme of this card perfectly.I tied a band of tulle ribbon around the middle, tied in a knot and I really like the way this turned out.
The next stop on your hop is our very talented Guest Designer for October, Joyce. Be sure to stop by the store and see what new images there are and if you haven't already check out all the images, there is so much variety and the image quality is superior to most digital images out there.
Thanks for stopping by, Have a great day!!!

Exciting Announcement!!!
OMG, I can hardly believe that I have officially been the Just Inklined Design Team Member for 3 days now :) and I am just telling you. My "friend" Peri will also be a permanent DT member, and man o man is she a talented lady!!! I have been so busy that although I put the DT badge on my blog sidebar I wanted to create a card to go along with my announcement. Here is MyCroft..... I love this image:
I had a little trouble photographing this because I added crystal effects to the water in the fish bowl and the water puddle under MyCroft. Did you guess the image is called MyCroft? LOL
I am just so excited to have been asked to stay on after being one of the September Guest Designers. If you think I hesitated for a second when Jak asked me if I would like to become a permanent DT member, I shot back that YES email quick, before she changed her mind :)
It was a very busy week for me last week and I didn't have as much blogging time as I would like so hopefully this week will be better.
Well, I just wanted to let you all share in my exciting news and tell you to make sure you check out the Just Inklined store because they have added more new images this week and they are awesome, something for everybody.
Be sure to stop back back Monday for hte Just Inklined Blog Hop and there will be a new challenge this month to pick a Guest Designer for November.
I have go get some stuff done before I go to work...Yep, my long week-end is already gone, where do the days go?????
Thanks for stopping by,

How I made the Scarecrow Sweatshirt--Because you asked :)
There was a specific reason I didn't give a more detailed explanation of how I made the sweatshirt is because I didn't want anyone to copy the idea and sell the items, This is strictly against Mo's Angel policy and why I was even leary of making the sweatshirt in the first place. She knows she doesn't have to worry about me I don't sell anything, hell, I don't even give my stuff away LOL, it is a common joke in my family. My granddaughter made a card the other day and her mom asked her who she was giving it to and she said she didn't have anybody in mind she just wanted to make a card....Grandma does. Kind a hit home!!! LMBO
That being said here is what I did. I printed the scarecrow on cs and colored it in, next time I will color twice as dark as I wanted the finished project as it prints out lighter on the transfer paper. When I was happy with the image I scanned it on my all in one printer and into Photoshop. I made the image a mirror image as I wanted it to print the same way I had printed it. I printed the image onto Ink Jet T-Shirt Transfer paper.
I trimmed the entire image about 1/8 inch all the way around before I ironed it on. You can color directly onto the transfer paper but you can't shade like I want as it soaks into the paper too much and you end up with a mess.....don't ask me how I know :)
Now for the sentiment, I have an embroidery sewing machine so I kind of cheat on that part LOL. You can write the sentiment on or you can print it( mirror image of course) and iron it on as well.
If you have any other questions, let me know I would be happy to answer them.
Hugs,
Cathy
