I Toad You!

This is an awesome King Toad image from Dog Gone Stamps, I had a lot of fun coloring it.

This was a sketch challenge that I printed off and I like the way that it turned out.

I colored the toad with copic markers and sponged around the edge with Brushed Corduroy and Vintage Photo Tim Holtz Distressed ink. There are three layers of coordinating patterned paper in tones of green and brown. I sponged around the lightest green layer to tone it down a little.

I used Martha Steward beige twill ribbon for the verticle stripe in the sketch and tied a knot bow in it. I printed my sentiment on my computer because I didn't have any Toad sayings. I cut the sentiment strip and used my tag punch to create the ends. I then cut a piece of black to mount the sentiment on and punched the ends the same way with my tag punch. The tag punch that I have has three different size tags on one punch so I can use the correct one for the size paper strip I have cut.

I added tiny colored gems from K & Company to the crown and sentiment tag. Just a little bit of bling fit for royalty.

A pretty straight forward card. Hope you like it. The inside of the card will say "that I love you" Happy Anniversary!

Thanks for looking. Oh, I forgot to mention that Dog Gone Stamps has New Stamps on their site tonight. They are really cool created from drawings done by Nancy Torfin's Mother(correct me if I am wrong). The originals were drawn with a quill pen.

They also have new Dog Stamps that are so cute and perfect for the dog lover and a left and right corner border butterfly stamp that will be on my next order :)

Thanks for looking, have a great night. I'm off to bed.

Love how you did your sponging I would have guessed airbrushing had been done instead. Wonderful card!
